An Idiots Guide To Userlookup Layouts

Hi, and welcome to my lookup tutorial: An Idiots Guide To Userlookup Layouts. It has been called this due to the fact that its so easy, an idiot could do it. If you are a person who is slightly more intelligent, i'm sure it will work for you too. =)

Now, onto the layout...

Now, to make a layout, you will need an account on an image hosting site, such as photobucket or imagecave. You will need an account, but don't worry, its free and safe. I have an account on imagecave myself.
Secondly, find a good hexidecimal code guide. Have no idea what i'm talking about? Don't worry i'll explain. Throughout the code, you may see a # sign followed by six numbers or letters, eg. CC0000. This is what we call a hexidecimal color code. Sunnyneo has a good chart for this, entitled 'Color Chart'... or you can use another one you know of.

Now, onto the fun bit. Below is a small picture of a template. Click on it and drag it to the address bar. You will be taken to a new page, containing the layout template. Copy and paste this to an image editing program such as Ms Paint, Paint Shop Pro or photoshop. Then, do with it what you will, keeping to the template. Then, when you are done, upload it to the image hosting site we mentioned.Got that?

Now... onto the coding

This is the bit people usually get scared at, but don't worry, i've tried to make it simple. Below are small sections of the code which you can edit when it gets to your own code. They are in order, but on your code there will be other bits of coding in between. Leave the rest alone, unless you know what you're doing. The bit for editing is in red, and some intructions are in blue. On your code, the instructions won't be there, and it will all be normal color. Also, at the end will be some space to write stuff about yourself, your avatars, goals etc. This will be clearly shown.

Got that?

So, you think you're ready? Then open up a new window or tab and go to your Profile (found here). Keep this page open to follow when you are editing your code. Now, click the link below to take you to a page Awith the code on. For some reason it won't on here?!?!?! Once there, click in the box and press Ctrl + A, then copy and paste it into your profile. Edit and submit. Good luck guest!
