SHIINE is an art competition in which you get to choose both a neopet model and a designer character to join forces and test their skills against others.

Everybody, listen up!
We were once again approached by a (imaginary) company that would like us to do advertisements for their establishments.
Naturally, this is where you come in, so let us explain the project and introduce our client:

Harunoumi is a company with various small quaint little establishments scattered across Neopia. Each establishment is different, yet all focused on connecting with nature, relaxation, the freeing of the mind and providing a taste of each country's origin. The type of establishments vary from spa's to luxury shop and cafés, etc.

The requested type of ad is a spread for a magazine.
On it you must include the Harunoumi logo and a small descriptive text about the establishment advertised.

As for your challenge, each of you gifted duos will be paired with another team, and all four of you shall go to your designated destination, where a professional photographer will be waiting.

Models, you know what to do. Remember that communication is essential, get along and achieve a positive vibe with your fellow competitor. You will be judged individually.
Designers, brainstorm together, arrange the set and dress your models. Remember, all of these locations were carefully selected by the company, so be sure to show off the surroundings. You will be judged together on this round.

- Wait, collab? How does that work?
Well, mainly you both brainstorm and come up with ideas for the entry together. Then each of you must draw their OWN character. No touchie on your partner's. You may do the background however you please.

- Does this mean we'll be cut by pairs?
Nah, except for the normal model/designer pairs of course... urrr...

-What's a spread?
I quote: In page layout and typography, a spread (often redundantly called a two-page spread) is the unit formed by two adjacent, facing pages in a magazine or other publication, featuring a single image.

- So, we can make up the establishment?
Yap, just try to stick to the vibe of the location.

- How loyal must we be to the location?
The location is a guide- it's where Harunoumi set up their businesses. Feel free to add a building or add detail to the existing ones if the chosen type of establishment would call for it.

- Will we be judged on the text?
Not especially, but please avoid typos and/or purely space-filling text.

- Is the sample exactly what you want and the perfection we should all strive for?
... No. Absolutely not. It's just a guideline, and in this case can also serve as a warning to the errors that may occur when not comunicating enough and running out of time. -___-;;;;

If anybody drops out midway and leaves you hanging, neomail us and we'll see what we can do.

Challenge III - Matti did not put up an entry, and Nero, Savannah and Dira unfortunately had to leave us; Celian requested an extension; Tempauri failed to follow the requirements and was cut; Deidre, Anne and Spy unfortunately did not make the cut.

Challenge II - Christoph and Missiah did not put up an entry on time; Xodus and Ichabod requested an extension; Viralic and Xodus failed to make posters following the requirements and were cut; Kate, Ruby and Pekoc had to be let go.

Challenge I - No extensions were requested; Euiruse, Kaniiu and Mimi did not put up an entry on time; Luna and Hika were most unfortunately eliminated.

-What is this?
It is an art/modeling/design competition.

- Competitions aren't allowed!
They are as long as there are no prizes involved. Which is the case. Sorry to disappoint.

- Is this another lame copy of NNTM?!
Nope. Though the idea only came because NNTM existed, we'd much rather see ourselves as a lame merge of ANTM and Project Runway, with a lame made-up title.

- How long will challenges take?
About 9 days, including two weekends, each.

- What about the whole competition?
Now it will depend on the amount of drop-outs. But right now we're counting on doing 9.

- Can I also use my entry on the BC or AG?
Of course, it is still your art, make the most of it.
