Getting started:

Welcome to neopets!you start out with 1,000 np to buy some things like food, toys, and grooming supplies for your neopets! or maybe some items for other uses too. also, remember to get your newbie pack in your inventory! it comes with paint brushes to paint your neopets with, petpets for your neopets, and food for your neopets!

Petpets:

Petpets are little friends for your neopets. you can buy one to boost up your neopets happiness, or to be a lab petpet.

Paint brushes:

Paint brushes are items that you can paint your neopet with. when you are creating a neopet, you can only choose from four of the basic colours wich are red, blue ,green, and yellow. there are paint brushes that can paint your neopet with a fire effect, snow effect, baby effect, maybe even a christmas effect, and lots more!

Seceret laboratory maps:

Seceret laboratory maps are items that if you have all all 9 pieces you can zap your neopet or its petpet! you cant pick the colour you want, it zaps you a random colour, or you loose/gain neopet stats wich you can use in the battle dome, change spieces, change gender, or maybe just nothing. you cannot zap both petpet or neopet with the lab ray,you will need a petpet lab ray. these are way cheaper than the full lab map. you will need to complete the seceret laboratory map before petpet map or it wont work.the effects the petpet labray can do to your pet are change its color,change its species,gain levels or decrease levels, (that you can use in the petpet battledome), change its name,turn it into a pile of soot,make it disappear,or maybe nothing..you can zap petpet and neopet lab ray once a day.

Toys:
you can buy toys to boost your neopets happiness.one of the cheapest toys to buy is a Tombola Keyring (1 np).

also,there are rides for your neopets to take to boost there happiness like the merry-go-round and tiki tours

Food:

You will need food for your neopets to eat so they wont be hungry.You can go to the gaint omlette every day to get some free omlette to feed to your neopet, or maybe some free jelly to eat. also, every month you will get free monthly freebies, where you get 2,000 np and everyone of your neopets gets free food.

Broken toys:
If your neopet plays with a toy to much, or if you buy the toy broken, you can fix it.To fix it,go to explore, then terror mountain.At the top of the mountain, there will be a toy repair shop.

(sometimes the jelly or omlette can be gone and you will have to wait a few hours for it to come back)

Avatars:

Avatars are what you use when you are on the neoboards or neomailing.there are many avatars.try the_pet_eater's guide.

Collat:

collat is what you use when you get lent avatar items. First, you put the item your lending up for trade. then they bid on it, you accept, they get the avatar, they put it back up for trade, you bid, they accept, and everything is good.

Side accounts:
Side accounts are accounts that are usally made for storing pets, for guild reasons, (activitie page, webbie, ect)or just another account. But theres a few things you cant do with side accounts, or you could be frozen!
1. Never, ever collect dailes on side accounts (like omlette, advent calander, jelly, ect)
2. Dont play games on side accounts.
3. Dont do anything that contains making a profit.
4. You cant buy hidden tower items, even with your main accounts money.
