What are some of the BEST experience(s) you have had with your site?: It's a great experience every time someone submits a form for voting or entering; It feels great that somebody actually cared enough to take the time to fill out a form and enter/vote. But of course, it's also a wonderful feeling to find out that my site is ranked at a site I look up to, or received positive feedback from a site owner. One thing I remember in particular was a time when Karma was ranked #1 in Community at Echelon. Echelon was one of the first sites I ever really started looking at in the community, and, as you can imagine, I was pretty darn excited to find out my ranking! But the best experience can be hard to pinpoint. Being a site owner has so many rewards, it's hard to choose just one.
What are some of the WORST experience(s)?: It's always a major downer to receive negative comments about your site or yourself when getting your site out to the public. There have been several moments when people have attacked my site or me personally. Having things like this happen can really hurt, obviously, but it's important to not let them get to you. Taking a step back, ignoring the rude tone, and just taking a look at criticism can be helpful, in fact. Another bad experience is having an event flop. There are times in the past when I've spent time working on a fun event or extra, and just nobody participated. But it's important not to get discouraged, and just try again!
