I'm not a real being. I'm just the stray feathers you see on the ground.
So I am just something that is personified?
Yes. I could say that. Except I'm nothing like a real being. I may look the part, but do I act like it?
So, I'm not real. I just look real.
Yeah, that's it. What else is the reason for me not acting like a human? I don't know how to do it! I don't know how to think like one, I don't know how to eat like one. I don't even have a that was given to me.I'm an animal?
If I'm not human, I guess that makes me an animal.
I do not know why he would want to do this, but it does not matter.
He dedicated his whole life developing a ray that would turn things into a being. He first tested the thing on objects like rocks, dead trees, meepits, etc. It worked.
What about the things you can only see? Like your shadow for instance? Wouldn't it be nice if your own shadow could speak and think on its own?
What about things we use daily? Like teeth?
So he gathered all three of these things to create a trio meant to be. He gathered shark teeth, a few frightened people, and light to make his own shadow.
He zapped the teeth. He somehow managed to zap his own shadow. He also managed to grab a few nice feathers.
I was created along with my two brothers.
The first night I spent as a living being, I was confused. Who was I? What was my purpose? What was going to happen to me? I doubt my brothers had the same thoughts as me. They were too busy looking around in awe and asking questions. Master, the scientist, was so happy. He had succeeded. But he didn't know what to do with us.
So he stowed us away in a room. He provided us with warm clothes and water. We waited patiently for his return. But he never came back.
We learned that we didn't need to eat the same type of food humans ate. No, we were fed off of every feather, every shadow, or every tooth we came in contact with. Thankfully, that kept us alive. I was the only one out of the trio who was curious with what was outside of the room and why Master never came back for us. It's a shame; their lack of curiosity saddens me.
One day, we all grew tired of waiting. So, we attempted to escape. Thank Fyora my brother made of teeth has strength. He managed to open the door.
I did not know how to use manners and I had no knowledge of the street. But soon I was searching for Master for years. I grew adapt to the environment, and I made sure I educated myself properly.
Over time I realized that I was different from everyone else. I was not like the humans. I was not like the citizens of Neopia. So I started to wonder...what's wrong with me?
I wasn't sure. I wanted to learn how to be a human so I could blend in better. But one cannot learn how to be human. You must be born one!
Unfortunately it's too late to be born one. I have to settle for what I am now; a being. Pft, I'd rather eat food than accept what I "have to". Food; it's poison to me. Out of curiousity and longing, I tried just a piece of bread. It was the smallest crumb I could get. But as soon as I swallowed it, I became terribly ill for a few weeks.
So, I am a being. Or an animal. I don't know!
I'm so confused. I have a feeling I stay confused forever.
