I assume you are here to learn more about the exciting job industry at the Faerieland Employment Agency. Any neopet can get a job! It is based on a "first come, first work" basis!

Do I work? Well rarely! Neptune, my owner, says I'm too dainty and pretty to work. My brother Iced Silver is always so busy training! And my other sibling Cosmic Saturn is a lab rat so Saturn's colours and species is forever changing so he's always somewhere in the world showing off his newest style! So that just leaves my baby sister Sugarberry who does all the jobs and she loves it! She's taught me sooo much about it I decided to put this page together. Sugarberry would never have time to put all of her knowledgeable information together since she's such a so busy at work. She's such a hard worker! She's completed 1500+ jobs already! Can you believe it!

One Neopet account can do a maximum of 5 jobs in a day. Any jobs completed will go towards your current active neopet.

You cannot do jobs on side accounts as they are a way to gain neopoints and doing so on a side account is against the Terms and Conditions of Neopets. Please see #6 in the Terms and Conditions for more information on side accounts.

The Employment Agency is located in Faerieland in Faerie City.

Jobs restock every 10 minutes of an hour.

Basic Jobs do not require a job coupon whereas Super Jobs do require one.

Time limits vary from 1 minute to 60 minutes.

You can choose to abandon a job without failure for a payment of 200 neopoints. If you abandon a job it does not count towards the 5 jobs you can complete in a day.

What is the difference between a Basic Job and a Super Job? Basic Jobs do not require a job coupon whereas the Super Jobs do. You will learn more about Job Coupons later in this guide.

All jobs have certain requirements you must meet in order to complete the job. I have never seen a job that isn't labeled "Collect Items" so as far as I know all jobs have you collecting a one certain item. I think in the early years of neopets there were jobs which had you obtain a certain score in a particular game to complete a job. I'm not 100% sure on that but that's just what I think I remember.

For all jobs you will be given an item name, a quantity of the item to find and a time limit. It also lists "Base Neopoints Reward" which means if you complete the job successfully that is the reward you will get for completing the job. Time limits vary from 1 minute to 60 minutes. It's important to finish within the time limit otherwise you will fail the job. Although on the plus side - if you are quick you can receive a bonus on top of the base reward.

One neopet account can get a maximum of 5 jobs a day. This does not counts if they are failed or abandoned jobs. If you have already completed your 5 jobs a day you will receive this message: "You have already taken enough jobs today! Come back tomorrow." Sometimes if you are really fast you can get two jobs done in one restock of jobs! Keep in mind if you are on your 4th job of the day you cannot do your 5th job in the same restock. You'll have to wait for the next restock but that is the only time that rule applies.

Any jobs completed will go towards your current active neopet. So make sure you have the correct neopet selected before you start a job.

First you must click on the appropriate link for either "Basic Jobs" or "Super Jobs." Usually there are always listings for the Super Jobs as not many people actually do them since they use the job coupons. You will also see a "Status" and "Ranking" links which are explained later in this guide.

The links at the bottom of the page only appear once jobs restock. There are three options that appear. Clicking on "Start" at the bottom of the page will refresh the page and brings you to the top. There are words for "Previous 10" and "Next 10" but they don't actually work anymore since they aren't actual links anymore. I'm still wonder why they are still there in the first place.

Jobs restock every 10 minutes of an hour. They tend to restock about 5-10 seconds earlier than they are supposed. For example they would restock between 7:49:50 PM NST to 8:00:00 PM NST.

Most users use Basic Jobs so they go very quickly. The best way to get a Basic Job is to refresh at the bottom of the page since this is where the new ones will appear. Once you find one you want click on the "Apply for this job" link.

Always make sure you check the time objective before clicking Apply. Some jobs only give you 1 minute to complete which can be a hassle. If you take too long you will run out of time and fail the job. One minute isn't really that long when you require 6 items and you have to visit 6 different users shops to get them. Plus with shorter timed jobs there is less chance you will not get any bonus cash which decreases your profit from the job.

If you didn't get a job you get the message "This job has already been taken." If this happens hit your back button, refresh and try for another. ^.^

If you got the job you will see a screen that states "You got the job" with a list of the requirements. Now you must go find the item, get the proper quantity of that item within the time limit.

If you pick a job that doesn't give you enough time or the item costs too much than you can afford you can choose to abandon the job. This will cost you 200 neopoints each time you choose to do this. It will not count as a fail and it does not count as one of your jobs for the day.

If you don't have the 200 neopoints out already to abandon a job and you click the link trying to abandon it - you will get no message and be brought back to the Basic Job listing. If you are abandoning a job please make sure you get the message saying you have sucessfully abandoned the job. Otherwise you could end up with a failed job!

If you are having troubles getting a job keep trying! Or you can always check back later! If it's during the peak (aka busy) hours of the site it will be a busier time for jobbers.

One you get a job you will be taken to a page where it lists you full objections to meet. If you accidentally close your browser and lose this page there is another way to get back to where you were. Click on the "Status" link at the top of the page and scroll down to your neopet who had the job. It will be listed under "Current Job" a will provide a link to the job so you can complete it.

Now you must actually do the job! So in this case you have to find 4 Grundolicious Cookie(s) in 12 minutes. So go find them whether you have to buy them from users via shops or if you have some in you SDB. Then come back to complete your job!

Once you have your items you need in your inventory click the section that says: "You can also click here to return and complete the job!"

Once you click that and you actually had the correct number of items you will see the above screen saying you have successfully completed the job!

If you are short an item it will update the number on the line that says: "So far you have acquired __ Grundolicious Cookies! Get to it!"

Once you apply for a job you will see this screen. It lets you select what job coupon you would like to use. You must click on the picture of the job coupon you wish to use. In this case I would pick the Blue Job Coupon since it's the only coupon I have in my inventory.

STEP 3 - CONFIRMATION & JOB DESCRIPTION

Once you click on the job coupon you wish to use you will see this screen confirming you received the job.

Please note near the top of the job description that your job coupon has been downgraded by one level. Also, if you decide to abandon your job I am assuming since your coupon is already downgraded at this point if you choose to abandon your job it will stay at the downgraded level. (I have not confirmed this... this is just my assumption.)

Now you must actually do the job! So in this case you have to find 2 Tigersquash Iced Bun(s) in 54 minutes. So go find them whether you have to buy them from users via shops or if you have some in you SDB. Then come back to complete your job!

Once you have the items needed in your inventory click the section that says: "You can also click here to return and complete the job!" If you have the the correct number of items you will see the above screen saying you have successfully completed the job!

Personally, I don't use job coupons. I stick to the free basic jobs. Many players say they are not worth the money you spend to buy them from other players... and you could make more selling one if you do have one. I spent 40,000 neopoints on this Blue Job Coupon for this example and I made 8429 neopoints profit from completing this job. See... not worth it much!

A job coupon can be used for any job that requires a coupon of that colour or lower; for example, you can use a Red coupon for a Green, Blue, or Red job, but not for a Silver or higher job. When you use a job coupon on a job, that coupon will be downgraded by one level (a Gold coupon will become a Silver coupon, a Red coupon will become a Blue coupon, and a Green coupon will disappear).

A few years ago the non-Brightvale coupons were given to users when they signed up with certain Neopet sponsors. This is no longer a possible method to get job coupons. And they do not restock in Neopet shops anywhere. The only way to get them now is to buy one via shops/trades/auctions or by having a Brightvale Coupon and by using it for Super jobs it will be downgraded to the lower coupon levels.

The Brightvale job coupons work just like regular ones - if you use a Green Brightvale Job Coupon, it will be downgraded into a Pink Job Coupon. The Brightvale Coupons can be won from the Wheel of Knowledge if you are lucky enough!

The three high end job coupons - Gold/Silver/Bronze Brightvale Job Coupon - can be found via trades or auctions as they are considered "unbuyable" in users shops. The others - Green Brightvale Job Coupon and down - can be found via user shops but the higher the coupon the more you will have to pay.

Job Coupons come in eleven colours, from lowest to highest (going from left to right):

How many jobs your neopet has completed will decide the rank of your pet at the Agency.

If your pet fails a job it does have an impact on what rank you are. Most failed jobs are because the pet run out of time. Those 1 minute jobs are tricky sometimes!

Remember you can abandon a job for a fee of 200 neopoints each time you choose to do this. It will not count as a fail. This is really handy for those 1 minute jobs or those jobs you know will not get you any profit by completing.

Where do I turn in my items when I have finished a job?

When you have collected all the items you need for your job, go to the Employment Agency, click on "Status", and then click on the pet whose job you are trying to complete.

How do you apply for a job?

Go to the Employment Agency in Faerieland. Click on "Basic Jobs" or "Super Jobs", and then pick whichever job sounds interesting!

I got the items, but it says I don't have a job, what do I do?

When you apply for a job, you need to make sure that you really did get the job before you run off and get the items! Check the Status page after you apply for a job to make sure that your pet has the job you think he (or she) does. If you take too long to complete a job, the job may be deleted automatically, and there will be no record of it, so get moving!

This is a special section with a list and mini-pictures of all the hard working pets who work at the Employment Agency. I will not add a pet without the owners permission first.

To be added into the "Worker Pets" section your pet must have at least 100 jobs completed. I have decided add this requirement since I think this is a fair amount of jobs to have completed to be considered a "Worker Pet." Thanks for your understanding.

I may remove your pet if I notice your account has been inactive for a lengthy amount of time such as a month or longer. I will email you before I delete your pet from this list. If your account gets frozen your pet will be deleted immediately.
