Zapping Your Dream Pets

Hello there, ! This is the homepage of the Zapping Your Dream Pets Guild! This introduction is for new, prospective members, or members just checking out the Guild, who would like to know more about what we do.

First, let's talk about the ZYDP Program. Our mission is to unite Neopians with their dream pets through our Zapper & Wishlist programs. :) How does this work? It's simple. We have an extensive Wishlist, where we list usernames and dream pets. Fulfilling all of these wishes is a lot of hard work, and that's where our Zappers come in. The Zappers are very generous Neopians with access to the Secret Lab Ray. The Zappers have volunteered to help ZYDP by using their lab rays to zap Neopets. When a pet gets zapped into a new color/species, the Zapper checks the Wishlist to see who wished for that kind of pet. Then the Zapper sends the pet away to its new home. :)

Now for a little bit of information about the Zapping Your Dream Pets Guild! The ZYDP Guild was originally founded as a place where the Zappers could gather to chat (and complain about that uncooperative Mad Scientist!). Because one of our leaders went missing, no one could take over. I have thus, re-created the guild here, now known as Zapping Your Dream Pets. Everyone is welcome to join the ZYDP Guild . ZYDP is just a general, Neo-related guild, and we now have over 150 members. These members have diverse roles: Zappers (who zap pets!), helpers (who don't have the lab ray, but help out in many other ways), wishers (who are looking for their dream pet), savers (who are saving for their own lab maps), and more! But the one thing that we all have in common is that we are all dedicated to granting as many wishes as possible.

Guild Ranks

Here are the criteria for each of the ranks. Please check and make sure that you have been assigned the correct rank!

#1: Newbie You've just joined the guild. You will be this rank until you prove yourself active at the guild (posting and/or participating in activities)

#2: Helper Non-zapper guild members that are active

#3: Zapper any Active member who is on the zapper list, but hasn't given away any pets

#4: Notable Helper Non-zappers who have proven very active (posted at least 100 posts and not spamming)

#5: Notable ZapperAny Active zapper/member that has gifted 5 pets or more.

Your Role in the Guild

As you first join the guild you may be wondering "Well what can I do?" Look below to see some ideas. The first set will be for ALL members

Post and introduce yourself.
Participate in the Guild Activities
Chat at the Guild Board
Advertise the wishlist/guild/adoption page
Wishlist Cleanup (Look for those inactive/disabled accounts)
Zapperlist Cleanup (Look for those inactive/disabled accounts)
If desired, look in the pound for pets that can fulfill wishlist pieces.

Now for those that are zappers:

Visit theZappers List and Sign up!
Adopt/create a pet to zap.
Zap daily until a change occurs.
Once a change occurs, decide if you want to keep/gift/trade (the pet is yours first!!).
If you wish to gift the pet check the wishlist to see if the pet is wished for. If not keep zapping, make a board to find a new home for pet, pound the pet, etc.
If you are able to grant a pet for the wishlist... check the Happy Endings and mail the necessary info.
Repeat steps 2 through 6 as often as you'd like/can!

Guild Rules

Okay, so these rules are basically common sense, but they're listed here, just in case you want specific guidelines. :)

Please enable Guild Mailings! To do so, go here and check the box next to "Enable Guild Mailings." This allows the ZYDP council to send Neomails to all members of the guild at the same time. (If you don't have this enabled, you'll miss out on the Neomails!) Sometimes important information is sent by Neomail. However, if you forget to enable guild mail, you can always find the Newsletters here on this site. :)
Stop by the guild message board to chat...frequently! Members with zero posts may be removed from the guild for inactivity. So please come by to say hi, and try to be sure to drop by and post a bit at least once every week/every other week. (Please drop by and post at least 2-3 times a month, that's not asking a lot) This way we know you remember you joined a guild! No one will bite you, I promise! We would appreciate if you would use proper english (No Chat Speak). When you talk lik dis somtims it hardd to understand. (:
When posting your daily zaps, be sure to include the species... Especially on color changes. This could help you to be able to grant a wish faster, if star knows that wish is getting ready to be added to the wishlist you may be informed ahead of the rest. (or someone else may know someone who would love the pet.) As of yet you may still post Stat changes, but as the guild grows and the board becomes more active, this COULD change.
When advertising for ZYDP, remember to be polite and respectful to everyone that you talk to. Your attitude can reflect on the ZYDP guild as a whole. And we want everyone to like us, haha. ;)
ZYDP is a no-begging zone! We would love to help you adopt your dream pet, but please do not beg for anything.
Also, individual members of the guild may choose to donate to your (insert-what-you're-saving-for-here) fund. But as a whole, "Zapping Your Dream Pets: the Guild" does not provide Neopoints to its members. Sorry!

Staronna	Bio: Hi, I'm Star! I'm on neo most of the time. Aside from my job and sleep and the hanging with friends I'm on pretty much on all the time. I'm no artist or writer, and I haven't gotten into the roleplaying aspect of neo,but I'm trying to at least come up with characters for my pets, just in case I ever do. You will often find me at Pound Chat. My ultimate dream pet is an UC Faerie Ixi, but the chances of getting that are slim. ZYDP Position: Leader, Wishlist Runner, Happy Endings Runner, and Member Updates Star runs our Wishlist and our Happy Endings page. So she's the one to talk to if you want to add your name to the wishlist, if you have given away a dream pet, or if you have any ZYDP related questions! She is a big help, and knows a lot about the guild _______________________________________________
xxxxxbobxxxxx	Bio: You can call me Bob, as that's probably the easiest to remember. I enjoy rescuing pets from the pound and rehoming them after a healthy dose of lab ray. Away from Neopets, I like to read novels and eat cookies. My neomail is always open, and I'm open to any suggestions you might have about how to make the ZYDP Wishlist a more streamlined experience for both wishers and zappers. ZYDP Position: Wishlist Monitor, ZapperList Keeper, Member Updatesxxxxxbobxxxxx's job is to help maintain the wishlist. This is done by organizing regular cleanups. If there is an inactive user on the wishlist and Star's inbox is full, feel free to notify xxxxxbobxxxxx! Another very important job that xxxxxbobxxxxx has is to keep the zapper list. I have been doing graphics and some HTML and CSS for almost half my life. I hope to one day own a graphic request site. I have been a member of ZYDP for over a year now, and love granting wishes! ZYDP Position: Graphic Artist Kortnee's job is to create cool graphic/layout/pages/banners and everything picture/HTML related for ZYDP. Contacting Us:

Ideas for the Guild should be mailed to the council. It needs to be brought to the council's attention for review/approval before brought to the guild's board. This is to protect ALL members and make double sure that none of it goes against TNT's TOS. We're open to new ideas, but the guild board isn't necessarily the place for discussion, unless a council member has brought it up for discussion.
