Well, the Ultimate Bullseye game is now in the Game Graveyard. So if you still want to play you can but you will not get an avatar or neopoints or any trophies from it. There is a new game though called Ultimate Bullseye II which I cannot play worth beans so I will not be writing a guide for it. Thank you to those who used and enjoyed this guide. I will leave it up for those who want to take a look anyways. Enjoy your travels through neopia!

Ok, first things first, I will tell you now that this guide will not guarantee you a high score nor will it guarantee you the avatar, I practiced for a year before I got the avatar on my first account, so I know you don't want to hear it but practice makes perfect. Now, with that said, first thing you want to do when you start the game is make the game screen as big as it can go without being bigger than the screen (it needs to fit on the screen). Then close the browser (the one with your plays for that day and your highest score) so that the game plays at the proper speed, with the other wind*w closed it makes it less laggy. You want the game to go as fast as possible, the higher the connection speed the better, but if you are still a little laggy then don't worry, you will quickly get accustomed to playing that way and it won't be a problem.

Everyone knows the basics of this game, you are a turtum who shoots arrows at a bulls eye and you try to get the highest points possible. Every guide out there will tell you to save all of your bonuses till the end and always match up certain ones. Here is my version.

This is the MOST important part of the game....the power bar....you have to get it perfect or your shot either falls short or goes too far. When the bulls eye is LESS than halfway across the screen, when you power up only go just a little over the 4th line, like this.

When it is MORE than halfway across the screen then power it up to the middle point between the 4th and 5th line, like this.

When shooting at a bulls eye that is LESS than halfway across the screen aim pretty much right at the bulls eye or just above it, then when you shoot it will arch right into it, (the first screenshot is the closest one I could get of the bullseye being less than halfway across the screen) usually the only time it is less than halway across the screen is when you use to "C" combo, if you are shooting at one MORE than halfway across the screen then aim a little higher than that because it is further away (see second picture).

Ok, there are 4 types of bonuses, and YES you should save them for the last 2 shots that way you have more combo choices and you get better scores for combos. Here are the best ways (that I have found) to use these bonuses.

For this one we are going to use the "B" bonus, it is only worth 10 points, and it looks like this.

When shooting for the "B" bonus NEVER use anything with it, it is just a big waste of time, and I personally don't save these for the end cause they are pretty useless (you can never get them at the end when you need them, I don't know why). When shooting wait until the bulls eye is as small as it goes, like this.

Then by the time the arrow hits it, it will be as big as possible which means you have a better chance of hitting it, it will look like this.

For this one we will do the "PCF" bonus, it is worth 40 points, it uses the "P" "F" and "C" bonuses. It looks like this.

When shooting for this one you need to wait until the flames have developed all the way around the ring or when you go to shoot it will be really laggy. Just give it a few seconds to catch up. When you are ready make sure you are NOT going to hit the pole when you shoot, if the apple is up high then be careful, when doing one of these shots you only need to power it up just over the 4th line, sometimes less if it's really close. When you make it, it looks like this.

What if you don't have the "P"? Just the "F" and "C"? This one is pretty easy, it's worth 20 points if you bulls eye it and 10 if you get it in the white area around the bulls eye, either one gives you another bonus to use. The only thing you have to be careful with on shots with an "F" bonus in it is the pole, don't hit the pole. "FC" shot looks like this.

It is usually easy to hit since the "C" is in there so it's close up, this is what it looks like if you hit the white area.

If you only have the "P" and "F" then it's a little harder. Usually they put the pole up high and it's hard to hit the apple, when they do that just aim so that you will miss the pole and don't put as much power in so it arches enough to hit. If it isn't up high then it's a lot better and just do it like normal (and don't hit the pole!). "PF" bonus looks like this.

You get 40 points if you score this shot so be careful cause if you miss you don't get any.

Ok, sometimes you don't have a "P" "F" and "C", what if you only have a "C"? If the bulls eye is down low (bottom half of the screen) then aim directly at it with the power bar just a hair over the 4th line, if the bulls eye is up high (top half of the screen) then aim just above the bulls eye with the power bar in the middle of the 4th and 5th lines. This shot is only worth 10 points. Here is what the "C" bonus looks like.

On this "C" shot I aimed directly at the bulls eye, just a straight shot through, no arching required and I made it.

On the "F" bonus you just have to get it through the fiery pole and hit the bulls eye or the white area around it, the white area gives you 10 points and the bulls eye gives you 20, either one will give you another bonus to use. This is the "F" bonus.

This is what it looks like when you hit the white area around it.

When going for the "P" bonus it's just like a normal shot but if you miss you don't get any points and the bulls eye is a little bigger (but harder to hit it seems sometimes). Here is the "P" Bonus.

You get 20 points if you hit it, the only time you get 40 is if you used it with a "F" bonus too.

Now remember, practice makes perfect, if you don't get the score you're hoping for then just hit restart and try again, 125 is the lowest possible score that you can still get 1000np at. 225 is the lowest possible score you can get and still get the avatar. I got 232 when I got the avatar on this account, later on I scored 319 and I got a trophy for it, here is the screenshot of that score.

My highest EVER score was 419 which I got on March 1st 2006 at about 2:45 am NST. I was later informed by a TNT staff member on the Premium Boards that my score was reviewed and found to "not be legit" and it was deleted along with my silver trophy that I got from the score I sent of 319 about a year ago. Why they took my trophy that they awarded me for a different score is beyond me lol but I have heard this has happened to a few people.

Ok, I guess that is the end of the guide, if you have any questions or comments (or if I misspelled something, or the pictures aren't showing, etc.) send me a neomail.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does anything happen when you hit Bob, and not the apple?

A: If you hit bob but not the apple it is considered a missed shot and you don't get any points for it. You have to hit the apple to get any points.

Q: Should you aim directly at the bulls eye or over it when it is really low to the ground?

A: When it is less than halfway across the screen and it is really low to the ground then aim directly at the bullseye and get the power to just a hair over the 4th line. If it is more than halfway across the screen and it is low to the ground then aim slightly above it and get the power to just a hair over the 4th line (sometimes you need the power right in the middle of the 4th and 5th lines, but not usually)

Q: How come you don't have the "catapult" code in your guide?

A: Because all the other guides have it so I did not think it was essential that I put it in there....but I guess it is in there now! In all honestly, I did not use the code when i got my first ever avatar score, I didn't even know the code existed back then lol.

Q: Ok When I Play Instead Of The Bar Going Back And Forth, It Stops Once It Reaches The Max Amount Of Power And It Just Lets The Arrow Fall Off, Does This Happen To You?

A: Yes, this is completely normal. The Power Bar only fills up once, after it has reached full power it will basically kill your shot, you will no longer be able to shot that arrow. To prevent this, MAKE SURE you shoot before it reaches the end of the power bar.

Q: What does the Catapult code do?

A: It gives you an extra bonus when you type in the code. It is random on which bonus it gives you though.

Q: If the bullseye is in the middle of the screen but way up high then what should the power bar be at?

A: On this one, you kinda have to judge it yourself, if your aim is dead on then you will hit it no problem if the power bar is just a hair after the 4th line, but if you dont have perfect aim then I would suggest going halfway between the 4th and 5th line.
