On March the 1st a new link was added to the Faerie City tower. A small bubble (shown below)
The first thing you need to do is go to Faerieland, then inside the City! Then you must click on the small bubble on the tower (see below):

You will now be transported to the beautiful city of Altador.

The next thing you need to do is go to the Altadorian Archives (See Below):

You will now arrive in the Altadorian Archives hallway. When it was added on the 1st of March the hallway looked like this:

Yet on the 4th of March the hallway was changed to this:

Now notice that the leaflets on the board have changed and the floor is now tiled! Hmm - strange!
There are two doors in the hallway. One of them is roped off and inaccesible, the other one leads to the Head Archivists office.
Click on this room (where the white arrow points above).
You enter the archivist's office. He's an old Lenny, but despite his age, his eyes are still sharp and bright. He looks you over as you enter.

Here the text will read:
"Well," he says, "welcome to the Altadorian Archives. I'm Finneus, the head archivist here. Do you have some scholarly business here? No? Then don't try taking any books with you! This isn't a lending library!"

Go back to Altador - Now we need to head over to the Center Dome -This is The Hall of Heroes. This was opened on the 18th March and is the only place on the map without a marking. Click where the arrow points out:

Once inside the Hall of Heroes you will see 12 massive statues in a hallway!
The text reads "The Hall of Heroes is a monument to the great legends of Altador. Twelve enormous statues stand in a circle, King Altador foremost among them."
Notice at the very back right of the room there is a small and rather familiar looking Janitor. Click on him to talk to him (see below):

The text will now read:
You approach the janitor. He looks strangely familiar. "Well hello," he says. "Pretty hall we got here, eh? Lovely statues. Too bad it's so dimly lit. I think this button here is supposed to do something, but I can't figure out what."

"Well hello," he says. "Pretty hall we got here, eh? Lovely statues. Too bad it's so dimly lit. I think this button here is supposed to do something, but I can't figure out what."
You notice a small button next to him with a sun on it :

Click on the button!
The button will do nothing, and the Janitor is now peeved off at you:

"I TOLD YOU! It doesn't do anything!!Why did you push it anyway?! RAARGH!!"
The janitor flails his mop around angrily.
Hmm - why is he so angry about it? Very suspicious! We will have to wait and see about this one.
Lets move on....

Now you need to head back to the Altadorian Archives and visit Fineus (the blue lenny) again:

The archivist says, "Yes, that button in the Hall of Heroes... the janitor has spoken to me about it. I'm not sure what it's supposed to do, either, or how to fix it... perhaps there's a book here in the archives that might tell me something."
You notice a book holding up the table:

Click on the book!
Now Fineus (the lenny) says:
"Yes, I'm using that book to stabilise this table. The bottom of the table leg is perfectly flat, but it's exactly three inches short. If only I had something to replace it..."
Right! So we now need to find something to replace the book! Lets move on...

Go back to the Altador Main Map. On the map you can see many little tree's dotted around. To get to the Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry you need to click on the tree at the very bottom edge (see the arrow below):

Now you should be at the Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry and will see an image like this:
Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry
This quarry, on the edge of Altador, seems to be filled with nothing but perfectly flat rocks.

Two quarry workers argue in the quarry. "It's a perfectly flat rock quarry!" one shouts. "No, it's a perfectly flat rock quarry!" shouts the other.
Remember that Fineus said he needed a 3 inch object to replace the book? We need to find a 3 inch perfectly flat rock!
Click on the rock where the white arrow is pointing on the above image!

You find a Perfectly Flat Three-Inch Rock. How extraordinary!

Now we have our lovely rock, head back to see Fineus in the Altadorian Archives:

Click on the book again!

You replace the book with the Perfectly Flat Three-Inch Rock. It's an exact fit, and the table is completely stable!

The archivist says, "What a fascinating book. It appears to be completely blank, except for a prologue! Why would someone print a mostly blank book?"
Notice above that the book has now been placed on the desk for examination? Click on the book (see above image!).
Now you can read the book:

You will see this image! By clicking on the top of the pages (the white arrows on the image above) you can turn pages! Click the arrow on the LEFT:

This is the front of the book - the image is just like that button in the Hall of Heroes!! Click the top right hand corner or click 'Back' in your browser to go back!

Now click the top RIGHT of the book!

This is the Prologue - You should read it!
All of the other pages are blank! (There are 53 pages all together)

Page 2 reads:
Long ago, before the building of our great city, twelve heroes arose. Each was famous for different deeds of varying natures. The greatest of these heroes is the one whom we now know as King Altador. He, with the aid of the other heroes, founded our illustrious city by the sea.
This chapter refers to the 12 statues in the Hall of Heroes. Also to King Altador:

King Altador
Page 3 reads:
Before the Great Betrayal, the kingdom of Altador was one of the most glorious places in all Neopia. It was a centre of culture and greatly admired for its dignified citizens. Those blessed times were nearly lost when one of our own, who once called herself an ally and friend to the heroes, turned her heart to darkness and attempted to destroy the city. Only by Jerdana's magic were we saved, though our future remains uncertain.
Within this tome you will find the recorded history of the twelve heroes and how they came to form the Kingdom of Altador. Protect this knowledge well, for it may be all that is left if Jerdana's magic fails and the betrayer succeeds....
If we look at this page it refers to a 'Great Betrayal'. Also notice "Those blessed times were nearly lost when one of our own, who once called herself an ally and friend to the heroes, turned her heart to darkness and attempted to destroy the city." - This refers to The darkest Faerie who was once a protector of Altador. She was banished for her greed and turned to stone because of her evil. She now seeks revenge against Fyora, Altador, and Neopia.
It also refers to Jerdana who saved the city from The Darkest faerie - Jerdana is a powerful Aisha sorceress who may be the queen of Altador. She enveloped Altador in a time bubble to protect it against the Darkest Faerie. Jerdana's orb was used to turn the Darkest Faerie into stone by Queen Fyora. Jerdana is also one of the 12 protectors mentioned on page 2 above and also the 12 statues!
The page then say's that the book ("tome") will have the recorded history of the 12 heroes, yet we know that all the other pages are empty!!
Will the book be filled in as the plot goes on - considering there are 53 pages, it may be a long plot indeed!

Okay - let's head back over to the Hall of Heroes and look at the statues. Notice that you are able to click on all of the statues?
On each statue you can also click at the top to look at the ceiling:

At the VERY top of the image - hover around, you will find it! Remember you can do this on ALL 12 statues.
Once you do this you will look at the ceiling:

Hmm! - Nothing there so far. Let's move on...
Now you need to find the oil. The position of the oil changes for each person - but it will be found at the bottom of the statues (on the base):

You need to click the bottom of the statues - like the arrow shows abov. It is a little tricky and may take a few go's. Keep trying!
You should now find the Oil:
Behind the statue's base, you notice a jar of oil and a rag.

Take the oil to the Janitor will say:

"Oh, you found the oil I use to polish the plaques! Good idea! Maybe it can free up the gears. Go ahead and put some on the button mechanism, and we'll see what happens."
Click On The Button Again!
You push the button.

Suddenly, gears begin to grind, and the great ceiling above you opens up, admitting much more light to the room!

"Argh! Now it's light, and I'll have to go back to mopping instead of guarding this button! Curse you!" But you think he means "curse you" in a friendly way.
Oops - we ticked him off again. Why is he getting so angry about everything? And why does it say "But you think he means "curse you" in a friendly way." Hmm - Let's move on...

When we clicked the button we also opened up a set of stairs in the Hall of Heroes (the white arrow below):

You now need to climb these stairs!

After climbing hundreds of stairs, you find yourself in some kind of dome-shaped room atop the Hall of Heroes.
There is nothing in here so far! So let's check out something else...

Go back to the Hall of Heroes and click on the statues to look at the ceiling again:

Remember! - You have to click at the very top of the image (not the top of the statue).
Now when you look at the ceiling you see gems. Each statue has different gems above it.
Here is a full list of all statues and their gems:
