» Can we have Neohome 2.0 on our side accounts?
Neohomes can be made on side accounts as long as the Neopoints funding it come from your Main account.

TIP: According to the Neopian Times Editorial, if you enter the Neohome Spotlight, you can note the name of your main account in your entry so that the trophy/prize will be sent to your main account.

(I was informed by a user that TNT no longer sends the trophy earned on a side account to the main account.)

TIP: Remember raising and lowering an item means that you are changing its elevation, not its position. An item placed on another item may not appear to be in the same spot when the view of the room is rotated.

» I've looked at some Neohomes and they have items placed outside of space allotted for home. How do you create that illusion?

Neohome 2.0 Tip of the Week

Here you will find a selection of tips provided by our dedicated consultants. If there is something you would like to see covered, Neomail me. Or post it in this thread on the Neohomes Board with the subject as 'Tip of the week request' and your question.

.

Garden Layering

Step 1: Remove the items in question not only from garden but from shed & if you have more than one of that item remove any that are in shed.
Step 2: From inventory (or quicklist, I oftentimes use quicklist) whatever item you want on the bottom you need to place first in the shed, hit submit, THEN place your top item in shed afterwards.
Step 3: Go back to your v2 NH & place your bottom item in garden first, THEN place your top item afterwards.

Notes:

1 - If you have a LOT of items in neohome, just because you add an item in shed afterwards doesn't mean it will go on top, this technique works best if the items have been put in shed close together.
2 - Even with this technique, some items will still be problematic but a lot more items are cooperating now for me
3 - Sometimes certain items of the same type will cooperate to layer under & then you put more in of the same item at a later time (even though you haven't removed them from shed) & they refuse to layer on bottom when trying to put other items on top. Example to make clearer... I put in some blackberry rugs (my purple paving stones for pool area) in a few batches. I later put in simple bridge (diving board) but 1 rug was on top of the board & one rug was on bottom. The way I fixed it as removing a rug & putting it back in didn't work at this point... I took the diving board & placed it over my rugs until I found a rug that the board stayed on top of (game of peek-a-boo, I finally see you) I then traded spots with the rug that cooperated vs rug that didn't (it layered fine for other things just not the diving board).
4 - Lastly... even when layering cooperated after a while of revisiting home & working on it, it can happen that layering goes wonky still so there's no sure fire cure but it's working better for me with this insight.

Also, for those starting/redoing a v2 neohome inside, I suggest starting at the bottom corner & moving upwards to the right since items tend to layer better the 1st item you put in likes to be on top (for indoors)
