Screenie Guide

Welcome to my screenie guide. I'm an screenie-obsessed neopian and I have my own screenie page ^^ Visit it or else...I mean if you want to o.o Yeah, let's go with that. I guess you came here to learn how to screenie, not to hear me babble.

First find the perfect screnie that is either funny or you just really want other ppl to see it =) Then search on your key board till you find a key with "Print Screen" on it. mine is on the top row above the arrow keys.

Now go to an image editing pro gram such as paint and press paste below the edit tab. then your screenie is pasted on to that program.

after you have done that, you see a bunch of buttons on the left of the screen, right? if you've used mspaint before you probably already know what they do so you can start editing. Such as putting text, bodering and drawing pictures. If you don't know what they do, I've made a guide for just that. (lucky you!)

Now save it once you are done editing. Go on an search engine like g00gle or something and search 'free image hosting'. Or go to the sites on this screenie:

You are now almost done! copy the html url and paste it on one of your petpages like the one you are reading. Make a nice layout and background to attract fans. Remember to make them nice and funny =P Now you are done. If you started screening using this guide, nm me and I'll give you some tips ;) Congrats, you are now a screenie maker!!

Update: I've gotten a question about how to remove the link back on the coding. Who ppl who know html, this should be very simple, other wise, this screenie should explain everything.

NQII Guide

Here's my short yet helpful guide to NQII, filled with tips and walkthroughs! It has taken a long time for me to type all this so PLEASE, PLEASE don't copy the guide or a part of it claim it as your own. *note that this guide does not include maps of all the areas, go to: http://www.digifort.com/idnq for them.

Ok, lets start with the basics:

  • Characters
  • Skill points
  • Training grounds
  • Monsters
  • Bosses
  • Extra Tips ;)

  • Characters:

When you first start, you will only control Rohane, he may not seem strong at first but he'll be the lead attacker at later acts. He is also the main character of the game. His best action is melee atacks, damage potions also pack a good punch.

After defeating Zombom, the bridge at White River will open up and there you will find a really strong spel caster at earlier acts, Mipsy! She's famous for her Direct Damage, Obliterate, which can destory a monster with one attack instantly.

The third character in the game is Talinia, found on act 2. She's an archer with arrows that are lighting fast and acurrate. Without Skill points, her attacks are quite weak compared to Rohane but if you train her well, watch out!

The last character, velm, doesn't pack a powerful punch but without him, your healing potion supply would run out instantly! I almost never use melee for him, he'd be better off stnning or healing.

  • Skill Points:

    I'll start with rohane:
I would recommend only raising up his Critical Attacks until lv 8, then a mix of Damage Increase and Innate Melee Haste. It's good to have a few points of Innate Magic Resistance at the end of act 1. Stunning is a good skill but I don't feel the need for it until act 2. Don't bother with Combat Focus, Rohane has a nice amount of hp so he won't get nailed really fast. And he really needs to attack enimies instead of focusing. It's best to max out on Critical Attacks and Damage increase at the end of act 4 because you'll need all the strengh you can get from Rohane. No need to max out on Innate Magic Resistance but it's good to have about 5-8 points. You might want to max out on Innate Melee Haste in act 5. Stunning is nice skill for later acts...also nice to have a few points^^ Taunting is optional because I have made it through evil mode without a single point but if you are afraid of mipsy collapsing, try a few points =)

    Mipsy:
I've asked around the neoboards and there were a mix of seggestions between Direct Damage and Group Direct Damage, GDD is great for normal monster battles but if you have Multiple Targets for Talinia, there's not much of a need for it...instead you should concentrate on DD. DD is quite easy to to miss but GDD does not offer as nearly as the damage DD does in boss battles. I have tried both and they are almost equally useful. It's your choice but be sure to max out on one of them as soon as you meet Mipsy. Also be sure to max out Innate Melee Defense as soon as possible, as mipsy's hitpoints are the lowest in the group. Again, Innate Casting Haste is a nice skill to have, you might want to max it out on the last act. Lastly, Group Haste is also something to consider, it avoids the need for 4 hasting potions and turns when maxed. Forget about Slowing and Damage Shields.

    Talinia:
For Talina to hit affectively, max out on Increased Bow Damage. Shcokwave an AWSOME skill to have, I can't begin to count the times it has saved mipsy from dieing. I have maxed it out as always but some ppl don't and they still make it through the game fine, it's your choise but I LOVE this skill! xD Max out on Multiple Targets when having Increased Bow Damage maxed out is a really powerful combination! Ranged Attacks, I'm not sure about this one but it seems pretty useful though I have never tried it so I do not know for sure. I have beaten the game on evil without it so it can't be that awsome, but then again...it's your chioce. Again, you might want to max out on Innate Melee Haste in the later acts, and Innate Magic Resistance is good for defence so spend 6-9 points on that. Forget about slowing.

    Velm:

I really need to stress that velm's main mission is to heal! So max out on Group healing first, not melee!! Here's my rule: if a group member is down by 40+ hitpoints, velm will heal. Trust me, don't use velm to stun thinking with a member down to 20 hitpoints and one monster left, you'll end the round more quickly. These monsters are smart and if that stun misses, you'll be one member down. That means using a resurrect potion when you could have saved it for more harder battles or worse, going back to your last inn! (which wastes a lot more time then fighting a few more minutes with that monster. Other than that, spread the points around the other skilles. But Healing is the most important. Try to stun when your party is all at no danger at all instead of melee attacks. Just face it, velm, you just weren't meant for melee xD Forget about direct healing, group healing saves time and is more effective!

  • Training grounds:

Ok, I must say the most imporntant thing next to staying alive of course, is training. I will list the top 10 training grounds, which means you might want to stay and battle around there. (this is in count down mode so the last is the best and the names of the areas are from digifort)

    10. Ramtor's Tower (act 1)

    9. Dark Cave (act 1)

    8. Cave of Dark Things (act 4)

    7. Eastern Pass- sectors 1-4 (act 2)

    6. Mountain Top (act 2)

    5. Faerieland, Map 1 (act 5)

    4. -creator was too lazy in include xD-

    3. Lost Desert South (act 3)

    2. Akhten-Ka (act 3)

    1...drum roll please...Caves of Terror!! (act 2)

Note* This is only from my experience, it also depends on which skill of play you are on and where you spend your skill points.
