You enter a cold cave, entirely covered with ice. At least, it looks like it. Though the air is cold, the ground feels warm, and is not as slippery as real ice. As you reach out to touch an ice column, you notice a sparkle on your far left. A strange light silver kougra comes out from behind a huge ice pillar and stares at you with glowy purple eyes. She's wearing a black claw shaped pendant on a blue ribbon; that's what caught your eye.

Well, well... What do we have here ?
She smirks and tilts her head, not sure of what to do with you. She stares at you with slitted eyes, then snorts and disapears behind another ice pillar.
Hum...
then she mumbles something you cannot understand. She comes out behind you.
I guess you could stay for a while... But if you get lost, it'll be your problem. She smiles innocently... but gleaming fangs peak out as her smile widens.
The kougra walks without haste to the back of the shadowed cave. You decide you should follow her... it looks like a maze in here.
In a flash, you see a blue silhouette glaring with red eyes on your left. Well... you think you saw it. Better not stay to see what it was.
When she has reached the far end, the kougra gracefully leaps on a what seems to be a giant stump of ice, turns toward you and sits. And continues to stare at you.

I am Kushruneid.

I'm an ice kougra. A dark ice kougra.

I'm nomm's first... pet, she adopted me as a red kougra and later on (I can't remember when), she had me painted silver. I must say that when I got painted, there wasn't a large color choice for kougras... but this fits me oh so better than red. Red.She repeats the word with disdain in her lowered voice. She seems to sigh, then rolls her eyes.

Since then, my fur is shiny, light silver, she raises a paw near her face and wiggles her toes, showing her fur indeed shines, however I think I always had those gradient stripes. But who cares, really.
And yes, I have horns. Whoever mistakes me for a kau or ixi will get stabbed.

What's with the pendant", hum? That's good question. Don't you like how it shines? She takes it in her paw and turns it slightly, so you can see it reflect the icy light. It controls time. I have learned to master some of its powers, but I don't use it often. It can slow or fasten time, and let me see in the future or past. She vaguely points with her claw to a small pond of crystal clear water.

Yes, I am old. Older than most neopets will never be, though time hasn't diminished me yet. She smirks again. Old enough to have learned many things, old enough to have witnessed many changes, old enough to have seen many die.
Maybe it is my age that made me what I am... I have changed so many times but always stayed the same. Her eyes seem lost in space and time, glowing of a distant light. She pauses, then sighs and turns back to you. Again, she smiles, revealing her fangs.

I am one of those who like to hunt and fight, and will not turn away by the sight of blood. I am on of those who would give their life for a loved one, or kill for the same reason. I am one of those who maybe lost some sanity and should be considered dangerous. I am not a bad kougra, understand me well. I can be very caring and nice, and always will be loyal to my family, but often feel my blood boiling with anger and madness. I have claws and fangs, yes, but a heart too.

she's my owner, her real username is nomm_00, but forget about the numbers and just call her nomm. She's the one who gave me the black pendant a long time ago, and who also draws all my pictures. (steal them and I'll keep your head as a trophy). If you see a dark-haired human girl collecting little blocks of ice, it's nomm. Be polite and say hi.
But you didn't come her to hear about her, right?

Sokaris
he's my brother, a fire lupe. Technically, he's 15 days younger than me, but he acts more like a big brother. You know, kind of protective (though I really don't need it). He always has good words of advice and knows a lot about a lot.
As me and nomm, he likes to be alone, but people say he's nicer than me. When people get too near, he prefers to go away, rather than, as me, to snarl and bite. But don't get me wrong, he could if he wanted to.

Hatsushimo
a little bori I found lost in a snowstorm. The poor lil thing... he lost his family. I took him here so that bad wound he had on the wrist could heal faster. Unfortunatly, it left a broad scar - yes, he has blue blood.
He stayed here since that time, and since he seemed interested in magic, I'm trying to teach him. He getting good at it. For some reason, he's death-scared of Neser. I know he's a demon, but... anyway.
He seems to have changed lately. My little Frosbite... she pauses, visibly worried about him. But that's something I have no power over. Death.

Guntahr Tround Tklay
The kougra looks down on her left. Partially hidden in the shadow of the ice stump lies a dark form, slightly moving. You realize it's a petpet, curled up in sleep. As if he had felt his friend looking at him, he raises his head to look at her, and then at you. It's a ganuthor.
I have been told that his name was hard to pronounce. The first part is [goon-taahr], and the second is like 'round' with a 't' before it. The tricky part is the last one. It's a 'tt' sound, followed by 'clay'. Guntahr Tround Tklay. Got it? I usually call him Tklay.
The ganuthor tilts is head, looking at Rune, puzzled to hear his name so many times without her looking at him.

Magic

Yes, Magic. Not that magic... she snaps her claws, and a flash of white light and sparkles appear That's beginner magic. I mean real magic, like shapeshifting, turning invisible, reading through minds, making things dissapear and move. ... And curses too.

I've told you I had been blessed with the powers of Ice and Darkness... you're still listening, right? She stares at you and smiles again in that creepy way, clearly showing her fangs. Good. Well then I realized it'd be a shame not to consider all those other magics...
So, I went to Soki's library, which is, I must say, enormous, and started searching on the subject... and I found, yes I found... she flutters her wings, with a slight smile upon her face. Loads and loads of scrolls about magic, scrolls Soki said I could take, in fact I could take everything, as long as do not touch the scarab she mimics Sokaris telling so. The Ancient knew alot of interesting spells... she grins widely.
