Hello and welcome my friend!

Neopia can be a lonely place at times, and there are many mature Neopians needing somewhere to go. With this issue out there, we here at Velcro said we will help fill part of this need by providing a friendly environment for those who play Neopets to just escape their real lives.

Do you find yourself drawn to Neopets after a long day of real life? OR even after a hiatus you decided to take? Well, you are not the only one, and Velcro recognizes that. This guild is dedicated to those like our founder Suz, who have always came back to Neopia even when life is hectic.

Velcro, is all about sticking together. The meaning of sticking together can mean different things to different neopians. What we mean for this guild is two things:

1. Neopians who have been on Neopets for years, even after taking breaks, and dealing with busy lives.
2. And, a place where neopians can gather as friends, and start to consider each other family.

If you feel like sticking to Velcro then this is the place for you! Please read on and discover how to apply!

Also we do have a member cap of 80, which could be changed as we grow, and this means we do have to complete member sweeps on occassion. :(. 80 seems high but activeness of adult guilds can be low depending on how busy some members lives are, but we try to make sure someone is always on to chat to if we can!

Note:// We understand you cannot be on 24hrs, so we don't expect you to post everyday!

Pet Spotlight

Just about every guild has a pet Spotlight or a member spotlight, but it is all usually internal. We thought we should honor our family's pets with a chance to be our Mascot for our Recruitment page! Just look at our Neopets gallery on the sidebar, those are our pets of the month for the last 3 months!

What You Can Except Within The Guild

I know the one question many wonder about any guild they consider is: "What does this guild offer me?" Well here is our simple list of offers.

• Chance to be on Council - (There are guidelines for what we are looking for in council members though.)
• Friendly Members. - Members who don't mind giving advice and encouragement towards completing your goals.
• Sticker Books - A way for us to reward our members achievements
• Monthly Activities - Such as MOTM, POTM, and other spotlights
• Chance to Host/Create Guild Events/Activities.
• Cook Book
• Activities
• Avatar Lending
• Goals Directory - post your goals, so other members can easily see them to help encourage you to complete them!

Ideas we are still working on:

• Adoption Agency - This one will not be just advertised to guild members only, but there will be a section for those who wish to only let guild members adopt.
• Guild Auctions
• List of Guides (Habi, KQ, avatar(lending as well), Easy Trophies, NP Earning.)
• Etc. as we are always ready to listen and discuss ideas with our guild members!

Rules to follow

Even though we are an adult guild, everyone needs some rules. So the following are something we just ask our members to do for all of us to get along together. If you have an idea or have a problem with anything you see here then please let us know by contacting any of the council members.

• Be Friendly: Treat your guild members the way you would want to someone to treat you.
• Be mature and polite: Here is a few things we ask
  • Turn off your caps lock key and capitalize proper nouns and the beginnings of sentences.
  • Use complete sentences.
  • Go easy on abbreviations ("ur," "LOL"), slang, and emoticons. A sprinkling of these in an informal setting can add color. Too many can make it incomprehensible.
  • Avoid speaking 1337 when not necessary . This is an annoying habit most people do without thinking. It is when numbers are used to replace letters in certain words. such as: 1 h4v3 l0t5 0f fr13nd5. Over abuse of 1337, or using it at all can make your post or message difficult to read.
• Be honest: Please don't say things that are not true.
• Be Respectful: Please try to respect fellow members by keeping the guild drama free. Take arguments to neomail, or ask council for help to solve the issue.
• Don't just disappear!: Please let someone know if you won't be on for a long time!
• Do try to Post!: You don't have to post everyday, but why join a guild if you have no intentions to get to know your guild mates!

• If someone leaves complete a follow-up neomail. (basically hep us find ways to improve the guild).
• Basically anything member related help we need for the guild.

Important Note://This position is one we'd like to fill soon, but please remember if we feel you cannot be active enough you will not be picked for the position. Also we wish the person been in the guild a few days first so we can get a feel of whether he/she is a good fit for the guild council or not.

Graphics Designer

Position Entails

• Helping with keeping graphics in the guild up to date.
• Make Banners, guild layouts, petpage layouts, etc. for the guild
• Basically anything related to graphics making related to the guild

What We are Seeking

• An active member of the guild
  • Posts often
  • Good graphics maker. (Examples required.)
• Friendly
• Able to get on neo often.

Affixosaur	1500+ posts & 8 Stickers (or 1500+ posts, Host pages) (or 2000+ posts)	Wow you're ancient! You been such a big help to the guild, and have been here so long that you have become a Dinosaur!

We do make exceptions these are more or less guidelines to help us make sure we recruit active-ish members. (Active-ish: Means we want members that come on to chat often, but don't have to be every day and they do not have to participate in activities, even if we post about them often on the board!)
