Kazzi's new design. Am going to be re-doing her entire petpage :D

THANK YOU NOCHI!!!!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!

Her legs were weak and tired and her back burned with the heat of the sun above...but she had to go on, she could not stop or else everything would end. Each step was laboured and with each breathes arousing new troubles. Where the desert ended was unknown and far off from any reach she had known before, it was a new frontier for her to explore and dutifully fulfill her task in peace. The sand dune before her loomed as if to mach her in promises of the dangerous climb it would require. With all sand dunes there was never a way around, up and over was the only way to go. With one more rattled breath she began to make her way up the sand dune, fighting against each slipping step caused by the shifting sands. After what felt like yet another eternity she found herself panting and heaving for breath but atop the sand dune none the less. Shock and relief now replaced fear and hopelessness as she looked out before her. There lay the Mediterranean Sea, A beauty encased in the tomb of sand. Kazzi had found her new home and with one last sigh began to make her way down to the beach awaiting her and her troubles.

I see you have stumbled across my petpage. Well pull up a seat and relax the time away for I promise to let your mind wander through words untold and your frantic typing fingers grow cold. (Yes, I like to rhyme :P)I welcome you to my humble aboard, and thank you for being here to experience all we have here new and old (told you :D).

Kazzi and Rahmee were settling in for the night as Rahmee gave a click of a yawn and settled deeper into the cradle of Kazzi's arms Kazzi began to hum. The tune was as familiar to her as the sand beneath her feet, it was her lullaby. Rahmee cocked his head at the strange sound and slowly began rhythmically rocking in her arms. Kazzi peered down at her little companion and asked if he would like to hear a story. Rahmee looked up into her sparkling blue eyes and squeaked with delight. Kazzi gave a small chuckle, cleared her throat, and began...

It was a long time ago when I was only young, about six, and my mother was just coming back from her dunetrader rout. I had been scouring the streets for some minute source of food when she had appeared out of the dusty alleyway. I quickly ran to her and threw my arms around her neck tears falling from my face. I had missed her greatly and always hated when her travels had to take so long. She brushed her tail against my cheek wiping away the tears and took my hand to lead me home.

When we arrived the moon was just cresting over the dunes beyond our doorstep. My mother had always loved the desert and so wanted to live as close to its vast open rolling landscape as possible. She ushered me inside and I found myself already drifting to sleep as she moved aside our pillow mansion of sorts and placed me on my bed. As heavy as my eyelids were I still keep them open and forced sleep away from my door for just a bit longer. I wanted to ask her of her travels on her trip and this was the only time I could. "Mom" I whispered, "What happened this time?..." She slowly turned around and came to sit by my side and then with a sigh began to weave her tale of her sand covered journey...

She told me how she had first set off to make her way to the surrounding smaller villages, a very normal route for her, but soon she received word from a desert carrier that she was desperately needed in the northern lands. They were on the brink of a huge sandstorm and supplies had long ago wasted away. So she was loaded up with every imaginable item and set forth to go to the north. It was a journey like no other and she narrowly missed being set upon by dune bandits but after seven days time she found herself being greeted as a queen in the land of the north. Her journey had taken twice as long as expected and so without a single wave she turned her back to the rejoicing villagers and made her way home.

My mouth hung open in awe and although sleep was rapidly approaching I threw myself into her arms and hugged her until we were both in a fit of laughter over my sudden power boost. I knew that she loved me dearly to turn away from the northern wonders just so that she could come back to me. Sleep was now winning its fight and as my eyelids grew heavy and my breathing grew relaxed her lullaby graced my ears. It was slow and serene and soon I was fast asleep with visions of her on her marvellous journey fluttering in my head...I always remember that night as the perfect moment between my mother and me.

As Kazzi finished her story she felt Rahmee almost purr in delight and slowly closed her eyelids as well. All the while humming her lullaby to her new child, like mother, like daughter.

Chapter 1:

There is no greater force to be reckoned with then that of the fury untold through hurtling grains of sand trapped in a vortex of a desert storm. Any who befall this trapped fate are sure to be found many moons later encased as statues of sand. But it is said that before one is caked in sand forever they are asked "the infinite" and if the answer given is correct and spoken with truth the victim will be spared, but for a price. Yes you may live if you answer correctly but you must then take on "a task" that is placed upon you. This is what befell Kazzi.

Kazzi was a dunetrader, meaning she was the traveling caravan who took items between the towns of the desertlands. She had taken on the job after her mother passed away and the duty fell upon her only daughter. Unlike in the other deserts it was always a woman's job to brave the wild sands and travel form town to town with traded goods in tow. It had always been that way, and most likely always would. It was a dunetrader's duty to complete their assigned route no-matter what, which may explain the reasoning behind the drastic number of dunetraders lost to the sandy tombs.

Kazzi knew there was a storm brewing, carried along by the westerly winds that had been ripping through the desert for the last two weeks. But Kazzi, being a dunetrader and bound by her deadline, ignored the fact that the storm promised to be bad and instead set out at once¦right into the middle of the growing frenzy. Kazzi was determined not to let the weather stop her from completing her route, but the storm, overpowering as it was, had another route for her to take. As Kazzi attempted to break her way through the shifting sands she realized that her actions had been foolish and so she forgot about her route and focussed on a more pressing matter; staying alive!

It did not matter how hard she tried though, for all her attempts were foiled by the crashing waves of sand that would cover up every protection hole she tried to dig or any shelter she tried to create. Her only option left was to curl up and hope that death would consume her soul quickly... that was when she heard the voice. It sounded like a whisper of the wind at first but soon she could hear the words forming upon the lips of the unknown "Don't let go" it was the voice of The Questioner. Suddenly the ravaging winds stopped and Kazzi felt once again only the heat of the rising sun and heard nothing but the slight shift of sand underneath her as she slowly began to release herself from the sheltered shape she had taken on. Hesitantly she opened one eye and looked around at the scene before her. She was no longer in the storm but rather surrounded by it... it just missed her completely, well her and the other sandy covered figure sitting atop the nearby sand dune staring down at her with hollow eyes. The Questioner had arrived to ask 'the infinite". Kazzi swallowed slowly knowing that the next few moments could define her destiny, and if she were to continue having one or be abruptly cut off.

The Questioner's lips parted and the same whispering grainy voice spoke once more, enchanting Kazzi, "Why" was the word to leave her parted lips and spin around Kazzi in a fashion that brought on the memories. Kazzi remembered having her mother come home one day and asking her why she had to go away so often, her mother had just replied with the same answer as always "Why not?" The words had escaped Kazzi's lips before she even realized what she had said and her "Why not" lingered in the air the same way The Questioner's "Why" had. A small smile spread across her sand covered face and The Questioner looked up above her at the stars still faintly visible in the morning sky, then she turned her head to Kazzi and whispered "Your task shall be stardust". Just then a shrill wind picked up and The Questioner was swept away taking the storm with her.

Kazzi had answered correctly and would live to love another night. But there was the task to be dealt with. In the place where The Questioner had sat now remained a book and a small black sack. Kazzi slowly approached the items and with ease lifted the sack onto her back and picked up the book, blowing away the sand that covered its title. The title read: Task: Creation of Stardust. Kazzi sighed and tucked the book into the sack that was filled with shimmering sand and then slowly gazed west to where the sun would once again set bringing with it the night sky that always remained slowly rising from the east. It seemed that everything ended in the west and as Kazzi's previous life had just ended she to would become part of the west. With her back to the rising night she started to make her way down the sand dune, following the course the sun would soon take as well.

Chapter 2:

The heat of the sun was much to intense for it to be shinning over Kazzi in the morning as she had suspected it was. Hesitantly she opened one eye enough to see that the sun was directly over her and not grazing the sand dunes as it did in the morning. "Darn it" she cussed as she unfolded herself from the uncomfortable sleeping position she had occupied. Would nothing go her way for once? It had certainly not been her plan to sleep so late, for now she had lost the best time to travel and had the furry of the sun to face now.

The going was tough but Kazzi knew that she had to press on. She had left too much behind to even think about going back. It just was not possible, not like this. Everything had been perfect but then her heard head had to get in the way and have her end up like this. She had absolutely no idea as to what or how she was supposed to complete her task. It just was not logical, and Kazzi certainly knew logical. For she had always been a book worm and even though she was now in the middle of the desert making her way towards the edge of the world she knew she was not about to forget reason and believe what she knew was impossible.

Of three things Kazzi was utterly certain. One, she had to get to the nearest town quickly or she would surly die by another means then the wrath of the sand. Two, She would not tell herself that everything was going to be all right when she was stuck in a mess as big as this. And finally three, She just did not want to carry on but knew that she had to. Everything was in such turmoil at the moment that Kazzi felt like she was riding a roller coaster that just wasn't going to do her the favour of stopping.

Each step become laboured and the most constant think about her, besides the sand, was the movement of wiping the droplets of sweat of her brow only to be replace by new ones. Her love for the desert always seemed to magically disappear once the sun hit high noon and began its exaggeratingly slow descent to the night. There had to be a town near by, there just had to. Kazzi knew these lands by heart but was growing closer and closer to the end of her navigational knowledge.

A large dune towards above her in mockery but Kazzi knew that her only option was to climb, and what a climb it was. The sand gave no mercy to her tired paws as she forced them to move one after the other digging deep into the sand to stop from falling to far. It was like for every two steps she took she only covered the distance of one step. Finally, with newly obtained shallow breathing, Kazzi reached the top of the dune and collapsed in exhaustion. She forced her limbs to work once more and slowly but surly secured her footing to stand on the precipice of the sand dune.

She felt like jumping up and down as soon as her gaze hit what was almost directly below her. It was a town! Quite small and hardly s town more then a collection of houses but none the less an actually settlement, her savoir in the middle of a sand filled wasteland. With renewed energy Kazzi made her way down the dune that had mocked her but was now in her mockery. The sand gave way under her frantic feet as she descended in mere seconds what had taken her the good half of an hour to climb. Finally she reached the bottom and skidded to a halt before crashing into the figure before her.

Chapter 3:

Sheepishly Kazzi looked up into the eyes of the stranger looming above her. She felt like some child you had just ran full force into a complete stranger and truthfully that was exactly what had happened. Her gaze had been averted after the initial collision but now she looked up again to see the stranger staring back at her with his iridescent ice blue eyes. "Are you okay?..." he asked in a tone with laughter clearly on its edge.

It took Kazzi a moment to regain herself but once she had she answered with a curt "Umm, I think, no I know that I am fine, I mean as fine as someone who just tumbled down a sand dune, but yes I am fine." Now she really was acting like a child, what was she doing? "Okay then" he replied with a small giggle and a grin. "Well, I'm Kartik. The one who you just tumbled into and you are?

She giggled at that and slowly got up onto her four paws. "I'm Kazzika, or Kazzi for short" she replied. His reply was a curt nod and then the motion of blocking her path from walking by him with his tail, which he then motioned with for her to sit back down. She paused and the plopped herself down with the beginning of a scowl plain upon her face. He laughed at her childish action and stated as he sat down beside her, "You certainly are one of the most different draiks I have ever met, Kazzi." Then he laughed again and turned towards her.

So now are you sure you are okay?" Karik asked, genuine worry spread across his face. Wow, Kazzi thought. He has the most beautiful eyes they were just so blue, ice blue. She had never seen eyes like his before and they fascinated her. He said that she was the most interesting draik that he had ever seen but Kazzi thought he was the most interesting draik she had ever seen. A flick of sand in front of her alerted her to his question and without really thinking she blurted out an incoherent answer. "Well, I'm a little scratched up, but you get used to these things living in the desert...

Well then, " he replied with a nod, "I do believe that since my presence caused you to come to such a *gritty* stop that you should come back with me, to my house that is." With that Kartik gave a big grin and Kazzi gave a small swoon of sorts and let out another timid giggle. "I really do appreciate your concern..." she began, "but you shouldn't have to continue to put up with the one who almost ran you over due to the falling and running sequence down a sand dune..." The last bit sort of trailed off but when she looked up again Kartik had a wide grin plastered upon his gorgeous face and answered. "Bur I would very much LIKE to remain in the company of the runner-overer and do insist that she come back, at least for a modest meal." The thought of food was so hard to resist after spending so many days flitting form one sand dune to the next in search of it and so her hunger ruled out her conscience and to her surprise Kazzi agreed to go with him. For a little while at least she thought as she lifted herself off the sand following him into the heart of the town.

Chapter 4:

His house was simple. Nothing to special yet at the same time so divers and different. Everything was organized in a plain matter but then there would be the presence of some exotic minute detail that would set everything into a spiral of contemporary difference. Kazzi's heart beat faster, for unknown reasons to her young mind, as Kartik went in and motioned for her to sit down in one of the hammocks that served as chairs and then his bedding when the two were strung together.

She could still smell the scent of spices lingering in the air that had been present in his so-called "mock" gourmet meal, which was better than any she had ever tasted. And they still tickled her tongue in a fancy of pleasure and contemptment. As she lounged in the hammock relishing in the forgotten zone of relaxation she began to notice other details about Kartik, rather than his stunning eyes and glistening smile. Unlike most draiks relative to the desert he had no trace of a sandy or even brown colour on him except for his desert garments of bracelets and his necklace that had seemed to have lost there original shine long ago. Kartik certainly was different, very different in deed.

His main colouring was a dark blue, almost the same as Kazzi, but darker still till it seemed almost black. But as soon as he would step into the light his blue colouring would ignite to take on a royal blue like no other Kazzi had ever witnessed. She could feel her jaws drop in awe as he passed through the shaft of sunlight and she experienced his wonderful phenomena, but quickly clamped it shut once she realized her actions, and carried on with her observations. Across his jaw came a white wring and under his eyes there were three smaller white dots. Kartik's paws were defiantly his most interested feature for they were black and ended in a spotted fashion just before the half way point of his legs and at the top the spots that were disconnected were white. He had frills for ears, which was once again an oddity among desert dwelling draiks, but Kazzi was beginning to feel that Kartik was not from the desert. Or anywhere near it for that matter.

Once again the sound of his voice made Kazzi jump inside and as she woke from her dream-like state she came back to her surroundings. He was trying to ask her a question but had repeated it several times and so had finally tapped her on the shoulder with his tail. This motion truly woke her up, for his touch was so alien, so icy, much to icy to be normal for one who lived in the desert. This time when Kartik asked his question Kazzi heard him. "So why exactly were you falling down that sand dune in the first place?...

She gave a tiny giggle at that and responded quite foolishly, "I wanted to get into town badly. I had just been traveling for so long and the sight of others was just such a relief." At this Kartik stared at her blankly, judging carefully what she had just said and then replied, "So you were out in the desert, all alone?" He paused for a second and continued after she nodded, "Where were you going?...Because by the way you described it you came upon this town by accident." It took Kazzi a moment to respond but once she met his gaze she knew she had to tell him and took a big breath as if she were ready to dive into deep water. "It's a long, long story and you may not understand it all but I'll try my best to explain...

Kazzi is like a typical desert draik, with her dark coloured scales and fur accompanied by her long shaggy hair that protects her eyes from the blazing sun constantly above. She has claws that are able to fold into her paws like a cat because claws in the desert have no use against the sand, they can only offer some form of protection if needed. The black spots that run down her back are specific to her and her alone. Each member of the Dunadras clan has their own set of black spots; they act as identification for each draik. There is another distinct mark that is specific to Kazzi and that is her symbol on her right leg, although she has painted it on her left leg as well, but always only one leg will have the marking on it. She hand-paints it on to her leg once a year using a special charcoal based paint. The paint will last up to two years without fading but Kazzi takes no chances and so paints it on every year. It has a meaning for her like no other, for it was the marking that her mother used when she had left for her trips as a dunetrader. That way Kazzi would know where she had gone and that she was on her own. It means allot to Kazzi...

The "Task" is a curious thing and it allows Kazzi to do things that others could never even begin to strive for, she has abilities that give her the foundation for what she is to do but with each time she whispers to the sand she seems to grow. And for what reason she just does not know...

Of course you already know about how Kazzi can whisper to the sand and create the stardust, which she then sends up to the "budding" stars (If you didn't, then congratulations now you do XP). Anyways that is not where her dusty path ends but rather where it just starts to begin. To find the "budding" stars Kazzi cannot just merely look up into the sky and spot them, no she needs a much better vantage point and that is from the moon. The stars begin to "bud" right before the full moon begins to wane and so Kazzi travels to the moon from it's fifth growing cycle until the full moon glistens in the sky. She does not just snap her fingers and pop herself to the moon but rather the power of the half moon allows her to drift up to the moon and have the ability to basically stroll among the skies. This may sound absurd but when you think about it, it does make sense. For how else could she observe the stars without getting closer to them? :P

There are many unknown things about Kazzi and until her life gradually expands and new friends are made and acquaintances, well acquainted, Kazzi and her abilities may grow some more. There is always uncertainty for every aspect of life, only one thing is certain. Only time can tell what is to come.

Ah young Boyow. I met him one night when I was making my way around the moon, surveying the stars that were about to "bud". He was certainly rambunctious and not at all shy, for it would seem that as soon as I came upon him he started to jump around my feet words flowing from his mouth faster then my ears could take in. Whenever I make my way to the moon I am sure to find him waiting for me with plenty of island stories to tell and a special island shell. *Rhyming spasm*

Pella is certainly a different sort, for she acts as the messenger between Poseidon and the Gods. She was charged with this task when she had become beached one day and Hermes found her almost at the edge of death itself. So he granted her, her "feathers" and so now she moves, well swims, through the skies carrying the messages from the depths of Atlantis to the top of Mount Olympus. I met her when she was making her way from the Caribbean to Greece and was blown over the Egyptian Desert by rough winds. She ended up sprawled out right in front of me. We eventually began talking and now whenever she is to pass by we always stop and chat for a while.

I met Ama when she came upon the sandy shores of the desert with Marie. At first I did not know who or what for that matter she was. With my first glimpse came the utter astonishment of finding her to be a dragon concealed in the curse of a plushie body. After a startled acquaintance we became good friends and bonded for the time that she was here with me. She is one of the ones who know my secret who is not a fellow task minder, and she was the first who I ever told. I miss her company dearly but at times know that when we least expect it we may meet again to share all our thoughts and unwind life's troublesome knots.

An earth spirit you say?...Well I know one of those :D Aly and I encountered each other when I was sitting atop a dune in the desert going about my stardust covered ways when I heard her footsteps fall franticly on the sand and saw her graze across the dunes. She was as fast as lightning and when I put my stuff away so as not to frighten her she was alerted to my presence and covered the immense distance between us in a mere minute. We got to talking and her, being rambunctious and the happy go lucky self she was promptly invited me to her oasis. Since then her and I have met often and we often find ourselves seeing if our powers toward the sand have any connection. So yes, she does know about my stardust task but as hyper as she is she can certainly keep a secret.

Rasconza, or Rasc as I refer to her, and I met on the sandy shores of the Mediterranean when her book got caught in a current and she followed it up onto my beach where I was just reaching down to see what in the written world had washed up beside me. Our interested to books soon became the foundation for a strong literate friendship and now we meet once in a while to exchange some reading material or just talk about the latest and greatest books that turn and captivate our ever expressing minds.

Kazzi met Kartik when she literally bumped into him after falling, I mean running ;) down a sand dune to the town that he lived in. After much persuading on his part he convinced Kazzi to come back with him to his "house" and they became very, VERY close "friends"! ;) Now Kazzi sees him all the time and never stops thinking about him. But you already know the bigger picture thanks to the story. So I don't think I need to go on...

There is one who follows Kazzi around the desert and who aids her in her dusty task. His name is Rahmee. Kazzi found him one day when out sand whispering. He had been buffeted by the storm that had just passed through and Kazzi almost tread on him for he was crusted with the pellets of sand. Quickly she took him back to her home and let him sit in a bath of water to extract the grit from his sides. Rahmee was weak and groggy for the first month that he remained with Kazzi by his side tending to him as mother would for child. This was back when Kazzi had only emerged from her life storm as well and so she was lonely and Rahmee provided the comfort that can only be obtained through the presence of another. As the days of the month passed Rahmee grew stronger and soon was able to communicate with Kazzi in little squeaks and clicks. Time flew by quickly for once and soon the two of them could be found outside the dune home frolicking in the sand. Kazzi fashioned a black necklace like the one she wore for him and placed it around his neck. Some would call it a collar of sorts but Kazzi just thought of it as a bonding tie between them. Now wherever Kazzi may wander Rahmee is sure to be found frolicking close behind. He aids her in all that she dutifully does and provides the comfort that is needed in times of lonely desert nights. Full of moon, and drenched in sand.

This is the RP between Ama (Karikinet) and Kazzi(Autumn - me). I would like to thank Karine for doing this RP with me and at the same time want to wish her luck with her Ama application! We decided to do something different with out RP and so we are doing it in chapters...in the end it will turn out quite long. ;).

Mirror Of Our Heart - Chapter 1:

A whisper of a wind stroked along her cheek, bringing with it the scents of the ocean swirling near by. She sat atop her sandy seat and watched as the waves lapped at the beach below. Everything was always so quiet here where many never set foot, but today there was an unfamiliar noise. Kazzi opened her eyes to the dawning world and noticed the girl making her way through the wave kissed sand to where Kazzi sat. Hopefully no trouble would arise Kazzi thought as she slowly sunk behind the shelter of her sand dune.

I was rocked by the sound of the waves, and the soft movement of the wind, comfortably in the arms of Marie. Finally we had arrived in Egypt! The spent in the boat was painful, but this really was worth the pain. My friend was to accompany her parents to a conference, and she took me along with her. We were benefiting from the only moment of freedom, which had been offered to us, because the poor child was to remain at the hotel with one controlling manager for the duration of her voyage. We benefited from this marvellous opportunity to lay down in the sun before saying our good-byes. We were to find each other in one week, when we were set out back hom. Of an attentive gesture, Marie put me on the ground so that I could carry out my quiet transformation. She deposited me a kiss on the face, and then promised to me that she would return to see me before the end of the tour. She left then to race towards the very close city, where the tour awaited her presence. Now, I will have to manage on my own. At this point in time I am left with only my solitary steps towards the infinite dunes the desert in front of me.

Kazzi watched carefully as the little girl left the beach skipping along back to the town. It puzzled Kazzi as to why the little girl left her plushie sitting alone on the beach and then promised it that she would return within a week's time. Yet as Kazzi pondered this odd situation she noticed that the plushie was growing and exchanging it's fluff and stitches for the scales and claws of a dragon. A slight pop echoed through the air and Kazzi ducked lower behind her sandy shield and realized that she has made the pop when her mouth dropped open in surprise. She was stuck between the instinct to flee and the overpowering curiosity to see what this creature was. She chanced one quick peek over the sand dune and found herself looking straight into the eyes of the creature that sat on the beach at perfect ease...

When I turned my head, I saw another head disappearing behind the dunes behind me. A mirage? No, its impossible...I had only just arrived. Not being able to resist the curiosity, I took flight, and I approached gently towards where the "illusion" was. When I flew over it, I saw that it was indeed real, in fact a she by the looks of things. She was looking really curious and on her guard for anything and everything...Did she see my transformation? Fear seized my heart, and without wasting time, I made a long dive towards her. I landed in a small swirl of sand behind her...

As her heart thumped in her chest Kazzi slunk back down the sand dune...the creature had seen her and now everything was invalid. Would it find out?...What was it like?...But most of all the question as to why it was here seized her. A sudden whip of wind pushed the sand up behind Kazzi and a slow and hesitant breath escaped her lungs...The creature was behind her, and she had no idea what to do about it. Kazzi calmed herself and turned around offering the creature before her a small nod of the head and a hesitant "hello" and a tentative smile.

The creature spoke to me! Curiously, we both speak the same language...I answered her politely, like Marie had taught me. "Hello. My name is Amanuet, and I come from France. I came here because my mistress must come with her parents for a trip in this country. And you...Who are you?" But curiosity overtook me so much that I forgot the rules of courtesy, and even before she could answer me, I launched the question that was burning my lips "Why do you look so frightened?" oops, so much for courtesy...

Kazzi took a deep breath as she realized the draik before her meant no harm...she was just, well, different..."My name is Kazzika or Kazzi for short and I live along these shores of the sea and for the longest time I have not seen any besides the humans...and when I finally see another of recognition, well...you turn out to be a plushie at one point and then a draik the next. I just didn't know what to make of it..." Kazzi cuts herself short before she can say all that she wanted to, there were questions best left to be answered in time.

So, she really saw my metamorphose? She knows my secret! I tried to look at Kazzika in the eyes, but my cheeks burned of shame, and I could not support her glance for longer then a second. I returned dreaming by fixing the silver sand under the moonbeams. I had the impression I was to be betrayed...Being unaware of this underhand pain, and taking my courage with two hands, I tried to explain my history to her. "You know, Kazzi...I don't know exactly what happens to me. Since my first breath, I was a simple cuddly toy each day, and come evening, when the sun fell, I found freedom in the form of my dragon transformation...And when the sun arrives in the morning, I find myself imprisoned in that body of rag...But, please, don't say this to anyone. Because this can put my life and the one who I deeply care for in danger...".

Kazzika couldn't help herself, she just had to let out a howl of a laugh. This creature, or rather dragon thought that Kazzi of all people would betray her. But no, rather, Kazzi would be someone who would understand Amanuet more then any other could...Kazzi knew the pain accompanied in secrets and knew what it meant to keep them secret. Kazzi put a paw onto Amanuet's shoulder and gave another chuckle "You thought I would betray you when you are the first who I have seen in who knows when?...I understand that we all have secrets and that some are more serious or extraordinary then other but none the less secrets that should be kept secret unless it is our will to share. Trust me, I understand more then you can know...Like i said we all have our secrets..." At this Kazzi trailed off, looking west to the setting sun and sighing like she always did with each end of a day.

It was strange. The sun falling, far away, in the infinite ocean, and the blue moon sharing the sky, creating an extremely beautiful light. Red and Blue. Hot and Cold. Happiness and Sadness...These two antipodes were in my heart. I was happy for finding someone that I could trust, who understood me, but sad that she looked so desperate. Kazzi seemed that she had hard times...The sky was reflecting what I was feeling. Then, I thought to what my new friend had said. "...we all have our secrets...". What could it mean? But our relationship was too young to ask this kind of question. I must wait. Without a word, I turned my head in the direction of the sky, and I continued to watch the beauty. Gently, stars were appearing. Yes...The sky is really a mirror of our heart...The billions of stars represent the infinite amount of questions without answers that were running around my head.

Kazzi followed her gaze up to the changing sky...this was always the beauty lost for many who were to distracted to give any the time of day, or notice the time and events themselves. Temptation burned in her throat as she desperately wanted to have someone to confide in but rather then truth unfamiliar words slipped from her cracked lips. "If you are here for a week, as I heard your friend say, then instead of sitting alone on the beach would you like to come back with me.... come to my, home if you would call it that? It isn't anything special but there you would not be alone..." The word alone cascaded through the skies as we sat there in silence. Kazzi did not know if what she had done was right but as a small smile appeared on her face she knew that something good would come as they sat on the sandy shores watching time stretch the skies into wonders know to only those who dared to sigh and see...

The New Friendship - Chapter 2:

This morning, when I woke up, it took at least 5 minutes to understand where I was, and what I was doing here. I was lost only because of the dream I had woken from: I was in France, with Marie, and I was flying in the bright sun, without turning into this ridiculous plushie form...Speaking of that, I lost all my freedom because I slept again tonight. I'm making some bad habits here! Because of my cotton legs, I was unable to walk, so I decided to look around me. I was lying on a comfortable pile of pillows of random colours and shapes. They looked like they came from different countries of the world. In a corner in front of me, there was a large bed, were I saw Kazzi still sleeping. In another part of the room, there were lots of plants taking sun bathes, because of the holes on the ceiling. The other part of the bedroom was occupied by a circular platform above. Sadly, I wasn't able of see much more, because of my handicap. The only option left was to wait for my friend to awaken...

Kazzi let hers eyes adjust to her comfortable abode and memories washed over her as she remembered she was not alone. Stretching her legs she slowly clambered out of bed and then promptly fell down again...what...what had happened?...In the place where Ama had settled down for the night there was now a plush figure sitting there starring at her....Everything came back in waves and soon Kazzi realized the meaning behind this curious situation. it saddened Kazzi but she knew that her friend would not arouse until the sun set once more and she would turn to her dragon form once again. Her sigh echoed through the room as Kazzi pondered what to do...

Finally, when Kazzi woke up, I wasn't surprised to see depression plain upon her face. It's not really interesting to have a friend who can't speak, I understand that. Marie is used to my perpetual mutes, but my new friend might find it hard...And since we can't do anything together the only thing I can do is sleep...But I'm even not tired! Usually, Marie takes me everywhere she goes, even at school, or during dance lessons. Kazzi can't do that! But...Maybe she can find a solution?

Kazzi paced the room back and forth trying to figure out the puzzle of a situation she was in. She had a task that needed completing but couldn't do that with Ama there...Not yet! "Stuck in the middle" a perfect phrase to understand the situation she was now in. Only one idea could come to mind and that was to ignore anything and instead try to let Ama see how everything was ordinary, or was at least supposed to be ordinary, she would show her around...But there was just the slight problem as to how she was to go about this. Kazzi slowly made her way over to Ama and lifted her carefully into her arms, then started to make her way around her home, pointing out all that was there to see in her little sand castle as she called it from time to time.

I was really surprised when Kazzi picked me up. I really dislike being in the arms of another person, with the exceptions of Marie and Antoine, but I believe in my friend, and I knew that she would not intentionally throw me at the wall or put me in the garbage. Only thinking about that made me remind dolorous memories of Marie's father doing this. But I knew it would be different with Kazzi. Trying to fight my fear, I started to listen to Kazzi. She carried me to every little corner of her " sand castle", showing me all the objects, the books...But one thing started to annoy me. It was this object, in the middle of the upper platform. A cloth was covering it, I was unable to see what it was, but when I saw Kazzi speaking with so much passion for all of her books, I knew that the mysterious object was one. This is surely really precious if she puts it in evidence like that...

She couldn't help herself, once she got going with the 'tour" all she could preen about were her books. Where she got them, what she had to go through, and of course what they were about. It was odd holding her friend and taking her around the room but as time passed it felt normal and effortless. Kazzi still knew what she had to avoid, at all costs, but when she had to pass by it she knew there would be plenty of question to come that night. The rest of the day went on like this until Kazzi took Ama down to the beach to watch the sun dip into the ocean. She set her down beside her and watched with careful eyes as her friend returned to true form.

I knew that she didn't want to talk to me about it. I could feel it. Every time would pass by this book, I felt her become nervous, and quickly move on to something else. I could feel, and can feel, that she has something to hide. But it's not right for me to ask the question. Not yet...Right now, I am morphing back to my proud Dragon form. With loads of happiness, I spread my wing and I fly a few meters into the air. It's good to feel free again. I returned to sit next to my friend, and we started to talk. I tried to talk about this mysterious thing, but every time, she would change the subject by attracting my attention to another point. I think it's really hopeless. Tired of this game, I looked straight in Kazzi's eyes, and I proposed something. "Kazzi...Instead of talking about things to do? Why don't we go out and do something?...I am sure you would know of something we could do...

The questions weren't what Kazzi had expected...she had been preparing herself to bite the bullet and tell Ama everything. Now that she thought about it that was her greatest desire right then and there. If she was to only be able to be with Ama for a weeks time then she couldn't let this secret ruin everything. Kazzi had made her decision she had to tell Ama and the sooner the better. "Yes, I know something that we can do. Follow me" With that Kazzi rose and started to make her way back to her "sand castle". Ama followed close behind keep pace over Kazzi perfectly as she flew through the desert winds. As soon as Kazzi was inside she came to stand before the enclosed bookshelf, waiting for Ama to come. Waiting to reveal the secret that no-one had ever learned before...the meaning of her existence.

I was really surprised when Kazzi lead me next to the hidden book. I think she felt my curiosity, and she knew that one day, she would be forced to tell me everything. She waited next to the pedestal. The book sat there looking extremely precious. More than anything in this world could be. It's almost the same relation with Marie and Me...We are connected each other, with an invisible link. Each needs the existence of the other. It's a deep dependence...And Kazzi is ready to share with me her most precious secret...

With one swift motion she ripped the cloth off of the book revealing the sand covered text that was hidden on its surface. "Task - Creation of Stardust" The words hung in the air like one strong quivering note, then there was silence. The words rushed out of her mouth faster then Kazzi could recall them and her whole story as to how she came to be here, all alone, soon unravelled. Finally when she felt she would burst with all that she had just said she looked up at Ama. Curiosity was plain across her friend's face and so Kazzi reached for a handful of sand that lay on the floor and slowly started to whisper to it in the tongue of sand. Sparkles of white and gold began to line the edges of her hands and soon she was no longer holding a handful of meaningless sand but rather a handful of glimmering stardust. With ease she blew the stardust out of her hands and watched it floats up and out through the holes in the ceiling, making its way to a waiting new star above.

I don't believe it! She created stardust in front of my very eyes... and...her task...she...had a dramatic story too...Kazzi is really similar to myself...With my blind egoism, I always thought that I had the worst existence ever...And now, I realise that others can have hard times, that they can have a miserable life as well...Now, I know how lucky I am to have Marie and Kazzi! They're both the most wonderful people ever. They believe in me. Kazzi, especially, because she revealed to me her most precious secret. And the stardust was so...amazing! Tears flowed to my eyes and I realized that this was the start of a very strong friendship.

A Gift Like No Other - Chapter 3:

There are no possible boundaries to life when there are no secret to line the walls. One is able to stretch their arms and fly to the moon if desired, nothing may stand in their way. Kazzi had never felt a friendship like this...it was absolutely wonderful! Her and Ama could do as they please every single moon cast moment, and best of all Kazzi could show her the way of the stars. Each star had a tale to tell and with each tale came some relation to when it was first born by the activation of stardust. All of this information about the skies came from within Kazzi for she had never known it all beforehand. Sharing it with Ama was probably, no defiantly, the best thing Kazzi had ever done. She always found her time with Ama to be perfect and never-ending...that is until morning would creep it's way up and around the corner of the sand dunes far to the east. Then Ama would return to her plush form and the two of them would become saddened and deeply separated...

The more time I spent passing with Kazzi, the more I began to feel the separation that was soon to come. The time when I will return to my home, thousand of miles away from my friend. Endless oceans and barren lands will be between us... Its why, for the moment, we are taking all the time that's given to us, we want to make the absolute most of this magical week. Now, each evening, we sit talking outside, and we look at the stars. She explains to me all that she knows about them...And I'm just fascinated by all that she knows. I see passion burning in her eyes when she teaches me all that...Now...I really need to do something for her. An object that she can keep with her, to help her never forgets me. A precious gift...

With only three nights left Kazzi tried desperately to think of how to say goodbye. It has never been one of her talents and for good reasons never should. But still she can't help the fact that sooner then later it will come. Then Ama will be thousands of miles away of their friendship may die with each horrid rise of the sun. There is however a spark of hope, one that could gain the two friends more time together and the key to it is stardust. Kazzi had noticed that one evening when she sprinkled stardust on Ama out of play just before sunrise Ama lasted in her dragon form for an extra 5 minuets. Both of them were amazed and perplexed but now Kazzi has a reason to believe that like all things in her life, stardust is the key.

Kazzi started to become more distant when I turn into a plushie. She tends to put me on a pile of cushions, and then goes upstairs doing mysterious experiences. So I'm rotting here...At least, I have the time to think of what I can give to her. I looked around me. Everything was from different part of the world. Cushions form Asia, jewels from tombs of the Desert, wood statues from the Pacific, even some boxes of delicious chocolates! Maybe...This could be a really nice idea. I just need her help...

To not be able to communicate is only the biggest issue amongst Kazzi and Ama. It bugged her so that she could not waste away all time with her friend just doing every little wonder of the day. But no, Ama was stuck to her plushie form and as hard as Kazzi tried to think of a solution nothing would ever work. That is when she got the idea of the necklace. Hmm...She thought to herself, what if?...Would it work properly?...So many questions and yet so little time. These conclusions lead to her trailing away from the plushie Ama and instead retreating to the world of sand above. She would need to find a containment unit and a way to create enough to last Ama forever and beyond. But was it enough to turn against the sun and time itself?...

This is the RP between Aly (Diane - okami_chan390) and Kazzi(Autumn - me). For this RP Diane and I had Aly and Kazzi meet for the first time and, well, get acquainted. But if you would like to know all the sandy, gritty details then just go ahead and read on. It may be short but you'll get the just of things pretty quickly :D
Status: Complete

Night was setting in. A cool breeze blustered into the oasis, carrying little sand flurries with it as Aly sat at the edge of the fertile area, right where the scattered grasses met with barren sand. Most any other creature might have seen the endless scapes of dry, grainy sand as a wasteland, good for little more than burning one's toes on during the summer, or perhaps burying a friend in (all in good spirit, of course) during the cooler seasons. Not so for Aly. This was her haven, her homeland. Nothing in all the world could be as beautiful as those miles upon miles of golden sand, sparkling ever so faintly under the rising moon. Smiling, the little black and white dragon stood from her resting place, letting her soft, white underbelly fur get caught up in the same breeze that plucked the sand up into pleasant little swirls around her. The night wind felt lovely against her face. How could she resist? Scooty and Lupio had already retreated off to bed; what harm could there be in one last little run across the dunes before she joined them? She braced herself, letting the grainy particles engulf her senses, and off she dashed, her light body filling with joy as she pranced through the cool desert night like the gentle swirls of sand she adored so much.

Kazzi watched patiently as the stranger treaded her way through the sandy enclosure that was the desert. Her tail flicked in it's nervous fashion and she continued on with her work for the stars. With the crisp ring of dusk still looming in the air it was the perfect time for stardust and soon her whispers to the bed of sand around her took action. But she stopped immediately when her ears detected the shifting of sand that alerted her that the stranger had taken a new course directed towards her. Why did curiosity always have to get the better of the desert dwellers...it only seemed to bring trouble Kazzi thought as she scooped up her belongings into her petite black sack and then settled herself atop a sand dune waiting for the stranger to make her way towards her and her untold secrets. Kazzi's gaze traveled up to the stars that were awaiting he aid and let out a reluctant sigh that ruffled the hair that hung down in her face. The stars would have to wait just a little bit longer she thought as she returned her gaze back to the stranger that was now almost atop the sand dune opposite Kazzi's.

A sudden movement ahead of her snapped Aly out of her blitheful daze, back to a reality containing more than just herself an the beautiful, whirring sands around her. Her pace slackened for a moment as she tried to catch a better glance at whatever had moved in the distance, but whatever it was seemed to be too dark in color to see from so far away, so she quickly regained her speed in a dash towards the mysterious being perched atop a nearby sand dune. At last, the little sand spirit reached her destination and, to her slight surprise, came face to face with another dragon! She skidded to a halt, sending a wall of sand flying into the air and showering down over both their heads, and plopped comfortably down before this prospective companion, a playful yet serene smile still planted on her face from her run. "Well, hello there!" Aly chirped, practically nose to nose with the nervous-looking dragon before her. She sized her up... Another female, not too far from her own size. She looked young, although Aly couldn't be sure. Such things weren't to be judged by appearance, this Aly knew. She herself looked young, as well, but in actuality she was nearly as old as the planet itself. Nevertheless, this new dragon looked to be a great deal of fun, and Aly pondered whether she might be able to invite her over to stay at the oasis for a while. Now was not the time to get ahead of herself, though. An invitation shouldn't come before a proper introduction; everyone knows this. Unless of course the invitee happens to be dying of hunger, at which point both an initiation and a meal ought to come before proper introductions... but this was of no matter, as the little dragon before her showed no signs of starvation, so Aly decided to quiet her thoughts and wait for a reply.

Kazzi couldn't help herself and let out her signature little hiccup of a chuckles escape her from her always parched throat. This little dragon had just come right up to her and plopped herself down only inches away. It was certainly a funny scene in Kazzi's mind but now was the time for introductions and not rambunctious giggle fits. "The name is Kazzika or Kazzi for short, and hello there to you too." She gave a smile as she introduced herself to the hyper dragon before her and then continued, "What pray tell brings you out to run about the desert like this?...Are you looking for someone or are you just full of much to much energy?..." With another slight laugh Kazzi extended her gave to look over the dragon. She was a series of white and black and was quite furry, her only clothing was a green bandana that was tightly secured to her neck...other then that her only remaining feature was the pair of white angel wings that adorned her back. A curious creature to be about in the desert but none the less there anyways.

The good humour of the situation brought a series of giggles bubbling out of Aly's throat as well, "It's very nice to meet you, Kazzi! My name is Aluhio, but you can call my Aly. I'm here in the desert because I live here; It's my favourite place in all the world, except maybe the canyon when I'm in the mood to skip stones. I'm an earth spirit, see?" The black and white dragon raised her hand-like front paws over the loose sand, willing it to raise from the ground until a good-sized orb of it was swirling and revolving between her two paws, "I can control the sand... and rocks, too. Anything made from the earth, really... rocks, sand, dirt, mountains, riverbeds... but of course, I can't just go moving a mountains around just because I want to or anything like that. That would mess up how everything works, and then what would we all do? It's a very important job, but it's a lot of fun; especially after the first few millennia, once you really get the hang of it," she nodded enthusiastically for emphasis, then released her hold of the sand swirl and sent it fluttering to the ground in a series of intricate whirls and flurries.

Hmm and earth spirit Kazzi thought...well that certainly explained her speed and love for sand. It was quite intriguing to see another whose fate was intertwined with the sands that many carelessly tread upon. " Oh...well then I guess that explains a bit about you" Kazzi added with a laugh, "But you are not the only one who is linked to the sand around us...just watch at what my connection is." With that Kazzi picked up a handful of sand and began to whisper to it, all the while watching the -disallowed_word-XP) Then Diane and I shall continue. In the future we would like to RP allot with Kazzi and Diane's desert crew but we'll see what happens ;)

One last RP for you know to read XD But it is of a side of Kazzi that could be associated with darkness or greed. But not to that extreme of course. This RP is between Sebastian and Shiyah (Dire - dire18) and Kazzi (Autumn - Me) It is certainly the most interesting meeting of character in a RP but I like how things seem to turn out.
Status: In Process

It was night in the Lost Desert. Stars glinted like diamond dust in the vast indigo sky; no clouds were present to obscure the ethereal light. A cool breeze scattered sand from the tops of the dunes to the barren valleys below. It was a typical evening in the desert, just as all evenings were typical in the desert. It was an unchanging place.
At least, that's what the male lupe found himself thinking rather cynically to himself as he trudged through the sand. Sebastian occasionally wondered if it wasn't too much to ask for just something different; a tree here and there maybe or even, Coltzan forbid, a little rain. It wasn't a sentiment he'd share with Shiyah. Sebastian had long since discovered that whining about the desert fell on deaf ears when he was travelling with the older female. If Shi had any qualms with the desert, she kept them to herself.
The pair had been moving since dusk, the taller orange male trailing a few feet behind the white and grey female. Both Sebastian wondered where they were going. Shiyah remained as taciturn as ever.

Her gaze drifted down from the shimmering heavens of stars to the two lone travelers making their way along the dune edge. Her midnight eyes blended to the sky and Kazzi inhaled the sent of the drifting sands, bitten by flakes of frost. It was a cold night, a silent night, but that was how she liked them.
A swish of her tail sent the sparkles of sand up into the air and Kazzi continued on whispering in her low hums and sighs to the sand that she cupped in her paws letting each grain float free once her work was done. But she needed to be evermore careful for she could hear the figure at the front of the lone pair whispering to herself about something being out so place and so it was best for Kazzi to remain that way. Out of sight, out of mind.
The gaze of the figure trailing behind hit Kazzi like a dart and she soon froze in her act, grains of sand falling between her hands. Quick as a flash she ducked behind the dune and made her way around to the other side of the dune the two travelers were pacing upon. She popped up a little ways away and sat back again watching the one from behind catch up and explain maddeningly to the one in front of his sight...

Sebastian was mulling over the frost when something moved in the darkness nearby to his left. The lupe immediately halted and squinted toward where he had thought he'd seen something moving. Unfortunately, he hadn't been paying any sort of attention to his surroundings and was partially wondering if he had hallucinated something in his desire for excitement.
Up ahead, Shiyah noticed the sudden silence behind her and glanced over one shoulder. Looking up at her, than back to the spot in question, Sebastian trotted to catch up with the other canine. "I swear that I saw something-" he pointed a paw over at the dune "-right there.
Shi shook her head woefully, the gold and silver cloth framing her mask fluttering at the motion. "Sebastian, you're too young for senility." And that was that. The grey female continued walking again, her bone-white eyes focused on the barren desert ahead.
Sebastian began to follow, glaring balefully at the offending ruin. "I'm not senile," he muttered balefully under his breath to himself. Stupid hallucination.

A slight chuckle emanated from Kazzi's throat, only head be her ears, as she heard the last comment made by Sebastian. These two were certainly an odd couple. Kazzi concentrated her gaze on the heavens again looking with her searching eyes to find the budding star she had been providing stardust for, but as soon as she found it and regained concentration she peeked over at the two strangers walking the dune and lost track of everything once again.
With a sigh she plopped down into the sand and watched with a content full rocking tail the Sebastian and the other walking along in perfect silence. It was odd at how with each word the female said Sebastian would follow her will and go along with everything she said. Flashes of a master dragging his newly won slave behind him shot through Kazzi's memory and with that she understood.
Sebastian did what he was told because he was bound by price and property to do so. This saddened Kazzi and so she decided to play a little trick on the "master" to show her what the desert could bring her, and that she should trust what was told to her by others. Not continue to ignore it with the swish of a tail. Kazzi lethally sat herself up, not even disturbing on grain of sand and disappeared behind the dune in a blur. Her plan was in motion...

Silence had fallen between the pair again, though a distinctly pouty-looking -disallowed_word-as much as one can stagger while stuck in a sand trap with two other people) in between the two. "What! What in blazes! Did you[i] dig this?" It was all so absurd that poor Sebastian couldn't make sense of anything.
Shiyah had settled back down herself, as surprised as Sebastian though it didn't show beneath the ebon mask. She kept her composure better than her companion, remonstrating softly, "Sebastian, don't yell at her. I'm sure there's a good reason for what's going on. Or [i]a reason, at least." The bone-white eyes started at the draik, calm now.
I wasn't yelling at her," Sebastian replied, a little sullenly. "But she calling you names. I thought I was the only one that got to do that." Whatever their technical status--Shi as master and Sebastian as slave--the two didn't behave entirely orthodox, as Shi smiled at Sebastian's remark, obviously not offended.

Kazzi lives on the edge of the desert's edge before the cresting hills sprawl out in front of the sea. It is her favourite place in the world and she has made herself quite content to be there. You would not be able to find her home at first glance for it is hidden in the largest sand dune only a few meters away from the churning waves. To enter one must slip though the hole that acts as a passageway before plopping onto a pile of pillows.

Once inside her sandy abode it can be plain to see that Kazzi has an eye for detail that does not miss anything. In her house she has "two stories" if you want to call them that. The highest story is just a large square rim that surrounds the outline of her home. On this layer one can look around and see on every wall bookshelves pilled high with books on every subject, thing, and just plain everything!

Once you step down onto the lower level you can see that it is organized into three "sections". Kazzi's bedroom is in the South West corner and contains her bed, a pile of pillows from every place in the world of various shapes and sizes and another book shelf with the books that she is currently reading - it gets restocked when she finishes them all. Along the East wall is her kitchen and dining area, it is nothing special but does contain every desert ingredients for Kazzi to experiment with. On the North wall and half of the West wall resides Kazzi's lounge of sorts. There you can find many more piles of worldly pillows accompanied by lots of plants that are just ripe with colour. These plants are able to stay healthy in their sandy tomb thanks to the "sky holes" that are placed in the ceiling at different intervals to allow streams of sunlight to flow onto the plants.

Kazzi very much enjoys her life in her sandy home and it suits her and Rahmee well for all that they do. She is content to live in a world where company is little and friends are most commonly found amongst the books of old and the little petpet friend who curls up by her side day in and day out.

Yay's Kazzi got a perfect score! Thanks Joey!

Her rattled breath had become a thing of the long forgotten past and as she sat atop the edge of the dune leaning against Kartik she realized that the so-called balance of life was actually right for once. Her luck was not some figment of her imagination, always out to get her, but rather her own regard for all that she had done.
