I was thinking one day: why isn't there a "noticeboard" site in Neopia? I know there are the Neoboards, but what if you want to advertise your petpage, inform Neopia with useful information, or simply if you need to get a message out quickly? For this very reason, I decided to create my own noticeboard, Flare! You can post any type of message you like on the noticeboard, as long as it's neo-related and follows neopets rules.

You may be wondering, what does FLARE mean? The real meaning is a burst of flame or light, although I like to think of it like this: Facts, Links, Advertisements, Relevant information; and Enjoyment. I hope you enjoy Flare, and I hope it becomes of use to you.

How do I post on the noticeboard?

There are two ways to get your voice heard: You can create a new topic, or reply to one of the topics already on the noticeboard.

There are three different categories which you can choose to write your message about; Ask, where you can ask any questions for people to answer, or to get an opinion on anything; Answer, for giving help and supplying factual information; and Advertise, which can be either for complimenting others, or for advertising your site (must be on Neopets).

how to start off your own topic

To start off a new topic, fill out the form below and click the envelope to neomail it to me. Topics will be put up as soon as possible, and are currently running Quickish || Slowish

Unsure of what to write in the form? Below is my example:

Username: Purplepolkadotty (Please type your username, not your name)
Category: Advertise (Choose a category from the three I explained above: Ask, Answer or Advertise. You MUST choose a category.)
Topic title: Feel the Flare! (This is optional, I can choose the title of your message for you.)
Your message here: Flare is a noticeboard site which allows you to get a message out quickly. (Type whatever you like here, as long or as short as you like.)
Anything else? Please add 2 of Flare's buttons. (Want me to add one of your site's link back buttons? No problem, just let me know, but remember to give me the link to the page with your link back button on.)

There isn't a form for replying to a message; you simply need to click reply next to the new topic you want to reply to.

I'm really worrying because, yesterday Weapon, Nene, Emily and the HC told me that Flare wasn't working in any other browser than IE, I've tried to fix it now, so does it look okay in your browser? Thanks for anybody who bothers to post, it would be most appreciated.

After I false warning from TNT, I found out my petpage coding is gone. I forgot to save the coding after the huge revamp Elite, formally Alliance had. I notified TNT about this, and I'm still waiting for an answer. In the meantime please help me get Elites coding back If you were a contestant, affies, made a button or listed Elite, please neomail me or reply to this topic!

Hi, this is Umbra, or Kaz, as some of you might know, from Final Destination Designs. I would firstly like to thank everyone who expressed concern when they found out my account was frozen. For those who did not know how to contact me, and are wondering what happened - Umbra was frozen with the reason of 'account protection', as there was 'suspicious activities' on the account. If there is anything, please contact me at the username - 'incandescenced'. Final Destination Designs will be up again eventually, but its homepage will depend on whether or not I get Umbra back successfully. Thank you.

Confetti, by Star, gives neopians the opportunity to compliment other people and their sites, which they probably wouldn't have complimented them before! I think it's a really thoughtful and creative idea, something which I would never have thought of. Flare's other [still totally brilliant sister site, Firefly, is a gift button site by Kitty! I know I may be a bit over-protective over my ideas, but it's not exactly the best feeling in the world to see that somebody has taken something you created without even telling you.
