Guilds: The first guild I was ever fully a part of was The Neo Project (May 2011 - October 2012). A lot of what I have accomplished since then has been thanks to TNP. Some time after that, I joined the Hunger Games-themed guild, Avox (July 2012 - now), on my side and couldn't have made a better choice. Got in on July 5, 2012!} For so long I've feared those grounds so wicked...
I awoke from sleep rather discouraged,
I'd rather this day go unacknowledged;
I breathe in and sigh, "No, I must face it!

Today is the day; I know it for sure!
For months I have trained, so many long days
Running far and long, lifting heavy weights.
Today is the day I'm not a failure.

I rise from my bed, now motivated.
I hop up and down for stimulation;
Blood starts pumping, I'm ready for action.
I'm tired of being underrated.

I walk the distance—my nerves awaken
With each step I take, the day dims to grey.
I walk through the woods, I enter the gate;
I follow the path, my body shaken.

I approach Arnold as he smirks and scoffs.
My palms all sweaty, I take my weapon,

Arnold raises an eyebrow as he coughs.

Why Avox? I've always admired Hunger Games guilds from afar, and I'd check out the OPs of their boards and stalk their webbies. ;) I remember seeing Avox and thinking how unique this particular HG guild was. But I remained an admirer from afar for quite a while; that is, until Kain (whom I've known for a while) came onto my main's guild's GC board inviting anyone to join a game of mafia. I've played mafia before and joined right in, and since that game I've been hanging out at Avox's GC board the past few days. It was great how at home I felt with everyone on the board; I've literally felt like I've been right along with them for weeks rather than just a few days now. I really feel like I've made some really good friends already...and I'm not even in the guild (yet)! ^.^
Do you have what it takes? Why? Yes. Because I'm a ninja.

Who is your favorite citizen of Panem? Why? I'd have to say Cinna. He was a Capitol citizen and yet he supported Katniss the entire way at a completely different level than what would be expected of a Capitol citizen. I really think that without Cinna, Katniss would not have been able to become the symbol of rebellion for the districts. Without him, someone could have just covered her in coal dust at the opening ceremony and given her up to the whims of chance and fate. Instead, Cinna guided her masterfully, making her into the symbol that Panem needed--he was the spark to her fire.
Tell me about yourself: On neo, I like earning and saving neopoints, collecting avatars, drawing my pets, writing characters for my pets, drawing comics for the NT, training my BD pet, etc. I keep track of all my goals and projects on my portfolio (/~o0sunrise0o). Off neo, I am a recent college graduate that needs to get her Master's in order to work with her degree...rawr. :K I love to read manga and watch shows like Doctor Who, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, How I Met Your Mother, etc. I'm married and about to celebrate our first anniversary come September 2! I also own a cute puppy, a maltese/poodle mix, named Pierre.

A few random facts:
☆ I love fire--not only am I working on making a fire gallery on my main (as well as make my entire account fiery at some point), I always carry around my flamethrower and will randomly torch things. Be careful, I've accidentally set someone's hair on fire before... o.o
☆ I am addicted to candy. I could eat an entire bag of candy in one sitting if I really wanted to.
☆ I am really shy and awkward in real life.
☆ I am moving 700+ miles away on July 28/29.
☆ I rarely ever dislike anyone. Unless they are a trollface that is mean to any of my friends. Then I bring out my /angryface/. And flamethrower. x)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST. I read The Hunger Games rather recently, back at the end of January/beginning of February, after hearing so much about it. I immediately became obsessed and read all three books in the matter of 4 days: I bought the first book from the bookstore and read it within 24 hours (having attended school during that time), then I had to wait in agony for the next books to come in the mail; but impatient as I was, after a day of waiting, I found them online to read, and managed to finish the next two books soon after that. Then the books arrived in the mail xD But of course I own them now so I can re-read them five billion times because I love them so much!

Interview

Now, how was it growing up in your district? Is there a specific memory you have that might tug on the heartstrings of the Capitol?
I grew up almost like any other citizen in District 7--around lots of lumber and lumberjacks...and logs! My father was a carpenter whereas my uncle was a lumberjack. I'd sometimes help both of them with their harvesting and woodwork, respectively. But my favorite thing about being around so much wood is the fact that wood burns into smoldering embers so beautifully.... *gazes fondly into the distance*

*recollects herself* Oh, and a memory... Ah yes. One time my uncle caught himself in the leg with an axe while cutting down a tree. It was a huge deal, everyone working with him in that part of the forest freaked since it was very deep. Blood everywhere. But he just kept going with his job, saying, "It's just a flesh wound." Such determination in his eyes as his face paled from lack of blood. Such drive he exhibited while he languidly forced his weakening arms to swing the axe deeper into the tree. Such tenacity in his voice while he whispered hoarsely, "'Tis but a scraaaatch," as he slumped to the ground, unconscious. He inspired me, this uncle. *teary eyes*
*audience awes*

How do you feel about the other tribute from your district?
Eden? I've never met her or her family; but from the looks of it, she seems to be the quiet type. I won't let my guard down for a moment just because she looks innocent and helpless, though. You know how the Games work. People won't always show their true colors until they are in the arena. And just because we are both from the same District, doesn't mean I won't watch my back where she's concerned.

What are you most afraid of going forward?
Going into the unknown is one of the most terrifying things you can experience. It makes me think back to the first time I ever unintentionally ventured deep within my District's forest, where the leaves create the most dense canopy, darkening my surroundings. I never knew what would lie ahead of me, so far removed from the known territory. I was five years old and had gotten lost; I had nearly soiled myself at every rustling sound I heard in the brush. Not knowing what could have been hiding behind the trees, not knowing what could have been in the branches... *shivers* It's frightening at first. But it's not something to keep me from going forward.

What do you think your strengths are?
My uncle's unfortunate accident was not uncommon among the lumberjacks in District 7. I've grown up witnessing such events, so I'm not one to have a weak stomach. I am also very adaptive, so whatever the arena will be like this year, I'm ready for it.

Is there anyone in particular you'll be gunning for? Why?
No, not in particular. This is my first Games, so I'm just going to play this thing by ear while keeping my eyes sharp to everything around me.

And finally, give us one last take-home message! What do you want to say to the Capitol and any potential sponsor?
I may be rather new, but I'm not one to be underestimated. I won't play this lying down. Just like my uncle, I have determination and will not cease my efforts just from being afraid of the unknown or from a mere flesh wound.
