My name is Cloud//Maggs//Juicer, and I am your host and a judge (that's just how awesome I am). You might know me from popular sites such as Cloudy Day Layouts, Irrevocably Twilight, Honors Lunch, and Forks' Phonebook. (I feel a little bit like Troy McClure... haha, oh the Simpsons =p)

The Challenge" is a reality game show... on neopets. It's based off of the popular TV Show, "Project Runway" the biggest difference is that it deals with graphics and layouts versus fashion. So, this whole thing is going to work like that.

There are 6 judges and 15 contestants. Each week/challenge a contestant will be voted out. The judges will make this vote. It will all be done fairly. What you, the "viewer", can do is copy the code from the textarea below, paste it in your browser and vote for who you want to win. Whenever someone gets kicked off, they're name will be taken off and you can vote for someone else. When it comes down to the last 2, the person with the most votes will probably win.

Prizes: errrr. Crap. I /knew/ that I was forgetting something. Well, the winner will get a spiffy trophy to post on their site... wherever, you know. And everyone will get a cool plaque saying, I participated in Project Graphics (note, these aren't like. PHYSICAL... they're made with pixels... haha) So, if anyone else has any ideas for what prizes could be... neomail me.

What you can do: Well, advertise it, durrr. So, you want to put it everywhere to vote for you too, because people can vote, which will help decide the winner in the end. Just let everyone know about it, that would be really awesome. If you want to make a link back button, you can do that too(: OH YEAH. Prize ideas... I just keep thinking of these randomly.

Rules

Gotta follow them

1. NO STEALING anyone else work. No copying. Be original. Please.

2. No harassing, bribing, or reporting the judges. They are being fair, and you need to be too.

3. If you don't have a graphic in on time, then you're automatically disqualified. Sorry.

4. If you can't make a layout or graphic, tough, I'm not changing the challenge.

5. If you're participating in anyway (judge or contestant) you have to have some sort of link back back to this page. You can use one of the nifty ones I have above... or you can make your own...

6. You have to have a page dedicated, or a portion of a page dedicated to your entries.

Grrr. I had more, but I completely forget them all now... so, I'll add them up when I remember. haha.

March 30, 2009 I am super sorry guys. I need to cancel the challenge. All of your graphics will stay up. I just don't have time right now to put into this.. at least to run it. I wish I could keep it going but I honestly can't, I'm really sorry this was just a big waste of time.

March 4, 2009 New challenge is up. I need to know who this person who made the white dog icon with the plus sign is.... so pleaseeee neomail me right away! Also, judges... DON'T FORGET TO NEOMAIL FOR ROUND 1!!! Sheesh... I need your results asap. Vote for who you think is 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. (Note, for this next challenge, also tell me your least favorite) - and... any comments you have on any of them. Thanks(:

February 28, 2009 Sorry for my past week inactiveness... I've gotten a little, errr... bored with neopets, so I've been avoiding getting on. I'm really sorry, seeing as how this has messed with the challenge, and then all of the fantastic people in my guilds. I will try to be better. ANYWHO, this is how this week is going to work. Anyone who has their entry in as of right now, or has an excuse for not doing it, is in, and anyone who hasn't completed it is out. So, judges, still judge this challenge, but no one who participated will be out.

ALSO, would the person who made the white dog icon with the plus sign and whatnot please neomail me, I can't quite remember which of you made it, and your name will be crossed off on the list to the right. So please neomail me so we can fix that, or you'll just be off anyway =/

What is it?

Create a Mini-Banner for your favorite celeb

The size should be 500px wide by 200px tall. It can be about a singer, an actress, and author, an athlete... whoever your favorite famous person is. It could even be about the president. Make it interesting... brushes, clever sayings, good use of pictures... just be creative. This time around, someone WILL be kicked out. Starting now 1:48 NST on March 4, 2009 you will have 5 days to complete this and neomail the link to me. I will once again send out a warning neomessage telling about this challenge for all remaining contestants. When the contest ends on the 9th, judges will have 2 days to get their results in to me... if they do not, then their votes will not be counted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this be a joint effort thing? Not really, it's more of a single thing. Unless you and the person (or people) that you're planning on doing it with sit down and make the graphic at the same time together. But I highly doubt that's the case with most of you...

What kind of graphics does this involve? Blends? Icons? Site/guild layouts? All of the above. It'll start out with easier things such as icons, and as more people are kicked out (nice way of putting it, eh?) it'll get harder, like... to blends, shields, and then layouts. I'll try to make the layouts to what everyone can make.

How much coding will there be? Again, not that much. Only once you get down to like, the top 5. So, chances are, you probably won't have to deal with it =p
