About Us

The Burrow is the home of the Weasley family. Located on the outskirts of Ottery St. Catchpole in Devon, England, it was a magical dwelling that became a second home to Harry Potter, and we hope the same goes for you. The Burrow is held up with magic, and is very warm and welcoming, just like our guild. We were created on May 12, 2011 byHayley and Janelle, and are a private, semi-literate guild, revolving around the Harry Potter series.

Sadly, Hayley has decided that she no longer wants to be Headmistress, so now Janelle's sister, Brianna, is Headmistress. This is so that Janelle can still be Slytherin HoH. We are unsure at this time if Hayley will be coming back, but we sure hope so!

Rules and Requirements

Firstly, the rules:

1. Follow the rules set by TNT.

2. Be semi-literate, at least! Try your best to use proper grammar, spelling, etc. Smileys are alright, though.

3. When filling out the application, post your favorite food where it says, "10. Did you read the rules?:" So we know you actually read them.

4. Be respectful! Listen to the Headmistress and all Heads of House. What they say goes. But if you feel that someone on the council is being unfair, please report it to the Headmistress or a different HoH.

5. Don't get too competitive with the House Points. Its okay to get in the spirit of winning, but don't get mean or obnoxious about it.

As for the requirements:

1. You must be active on Neopets, and on the guild, at least two or three times each week. We understand that you'll sometimes have issues in real life that will keep you away. If this is the case, and you get deleted on account of not being active, just Neomail the Headmistress or a HoH why you weren't on, and you'll be sent another invite. Also, if you know beforehand that you'll be gone for a while, please let the Headmistress or another HoH know about it.

2. You have to participate in at least one activity per round. This does not include private activities for each house, only the activities for everyone. Your HoH will determine how many private activities, if any, that you have to participate in.

3. You must have read all of the Harry Potter books, or have watched all of the Harry Potter movies. We will probably talk about them, and no one wants to have to worry about giving away spoilers.

Here at The Burrow, we prefer quality over quantity! So in our members, we are looking for you to be active, enthusiastic, and friendly. If you don't at least try to be those things, please don't apply. We prefer that our members have read the Harry Potter books because the majority of members have, and we wouldn't want to accidentally spoil something for those who haven't. We also don't want to be restricted and not be able to talk about exciting moments because of members who haven't read them. That makes sense, right?
Overall, we're pretty easy-going people and would love to have you be a part of our guild!

Requirements for any HoH position are that you must run your houses common room, and it must have some activities. You are expected to also contribute in any other way you can, and by doing things that Janelle or Brianna asks you (unless you can not).
