The character design I have in mind for Jo is heavily based off of the idea of the Magical Hair Usuki Reject doll, but a bit deeper than that in applying it to society's image of a fashion 'reject' pulling heavily from the opposites of standards held for young women. She doesn't conform to the image of regular Magical Hair Usukis; slim yet posh stature, long dreamy hair that rivals the volume of Usuki's tails, and a large neck fluff to match.

Even though Jo doesn't physically resemble all of the other Usuki girls, she exhibits the confidence of all of them regardless and doesn't enjoy being judged on her appearance, therefore she still dons the fashion all of the other Usuki's wear whether it 'looks good' on her or not. She styles her hair and wears whatever she feels comfortable in.

Jo is an aspiring fashion model, and because most of the high end magazines and modeling contractors won't hire her because she doesn't fit the Usuki image, she has resorted to making her own fashion magazine blog featuring the photography of budding artists in Neopia.

When she's not modeling for her own blog, Jo is a barista at a local coffee shop and enjoys playing the ukulele. She likes watching Battledome matches and entering the BC.
