Jhude was born in León, Spain to Alita and Juan Vasquez. The Vasquez's moved to America shortly after the birth of their only child. Juan left Alita and Jhude when he was only 2. The reason was never clear. Alita suffered deep depression and worried about her son and how to make ends meet with his father's disappearance. She eventually let her untreated depression drive her to madness and thus at the age of thirteen Jhude, with no relatives to be found, was placed in a orphanage and she taken into custody.

Alita tried many times to kill her own son claiming him to be bad luck and possessed by demons. Jhude grew up in a mostly Americanized setting and learned little Spanish or much about his native country at all.

Jhude visited his psychotic mother in the ward from time to time until it became unbearable to see her that way. He was often picked on at the orphanage and in school and thus ended up in a lot of fights. Being the smaller kid he was usually pretty roughed up but could stand his ground.

Despite being targeted by high school bully Harvai Hawthorne, Jhude found a friend in a popular girl Jaime McComas. She lost her popular status and became regularly teased and taunted because of her befriending the "freak." The two continued to see and support each other throughout high school and even dated while continuing to college.

In Jhude's third year at the University of Mississippi, Jaime was killed and he was accused of her murder. Former high school enemy and bully Harvai Hawthorne a rookie defense attorney fresh from Harvard, took the case for redemption and the sake of saving an innocent client.
Thus the trial was fought with it nearly ending in Jhude's guilt but won nonetheless. The true culprit was caught and Jhude managed to continue his studies at the University of Mississippi with his name cleared. While still sore at the loss of Jaime, Jhude found closure in his new friendship with Harvai and now is preparing to graduate with a major in forensic science.

Personality

Despite having the absolute worst luck in the world, Jhude keeps a positive attitude. Every dog has his day right? His is around the corner. Somewhere... He's polite and rather quiet sometimes when first approached but he can be quick to anger. He's positively flustered by women unless said women are just brats. He has a thorough passion for forensics and an intelligent brain to boost it although he hasn't passed his test yet. He's a tad low on self-esteem sometimes but other times he can be quite confident. Overall Jhude believes in giving others the benefit of the doubt and being respectful until the other party disrespects. He's also extremely self-conscious about his scars.

Family
Alita - This is my charming mother. She resides in a hospital. She's not all there anymore. Allie's really gone downhill since dad left her. I don't think she even recognizes me. But I love her so much.

Juan - I don't know too much about my father. He left when I was really young. I hope I'll get to meet him some day...
