You wake up on a cloud. It's so comfy that you start to go back to sleep, but you hear a girl's voice saying "May I help you?" You look up and see a girl sitting across from you at a large desk. You notice a machine next to her that has sparkly rainbow dust coming out of it. Wait a minute! The machine is attached to nothing! Then how is that dust coming out of a pipe into a large box? "Ahem." You hear the girl say. You turn your attention back to her thinking you'll investigate the machine later. She smiles once she knows she has your attention and says, "Hello, I'm Gaby. Owner of Dream Dust, a untaken name site. Looks like you've stumbled on our little operation here! Where we make your dreams come true with a wonderful & creative site, pet, or even a username!" "Go ahead and take a look around and then pick your name! Oh, and don't worry," she says smiling, "We'll pick up your Dream Dust."

Here is a little corner on Dream Dust that I put up a helpful guide to starting a site! If this guide helped you, I would love some feedback. Please do shoot me a neomail!
Site Name~ This is the very first step for site making! The name is what makes your site sometimes. Think of it, would you rather go to a pixel site named Crimson Thread, or a pixel site named Gaby's Pixels? I guessing you said Crimson Thread. It sounds WAY more interesting then Gaby's Pixels. So why not take a site name from Dream Dust? I mean that is what I created this site for! If you don't like any though, feel free to take one from one of the sites below as long as you read the rules. :)
Untaken names:
Content~ Before opening your site, you need to have TONS of content! I made that mistake when I opened Crimson Thread. (It was back when it was called Rainbow Star Pixels). My pixels also were horrible quality. If you want to make a pixel site, make sure to know how to SHADE & make many of them. If you want to have a button request site, make sure you actually know how to make high quality buttons! The better the content, the more requesters/visitors you will get!
Layout~ Now it's time to start on the layout! Make sure you know basic HTML before opening a site. I hate seeing people not knowing how to make a word bolded. Your layout can be made by you, a premade, or a custom from someone else! I personally am a horrible at CSS so I use customs. Feel free to use/request a layout from one of the sites below! Make sure to follow their rules. :D

Opening~ YAY! The moment you have been waiting for! :D THE GRAND OPENING! Make sure to get listed at some directories, requesting/making some link back buttons, and maybe even getting a sibling site. :) In the future when you feel pretty good, request a review to find out if you need to fix some things such as grammar etc. I also suggest advertising the opening of your site at Soroptimist, in the site news section. You get a LOT more visitors that way. I've listed some directories, button request sites, and even some review sites below to get you started! I hope this guide was helpful to you.
