Before I begin, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this, I'd also like to thank you for giving me the wonderful oppertunity to apply for one of my dream pets!

This is the story for Reterio (Ret for short) That I have thought up to go along with his characer.

Rain slapped down on the muddy surface of the forest floor in sheets, mercilessly tearing at your clothes and face. Chilled to the bone, and desperate for cover, your eyes search the dark trees for any sign of shelter. But alas, there is nothing here to protect you from the numbing cold water pelting down on you. In a desperate attempt, you run, blindly through the trees, down the narrow trail, mud clinging to your worn shoes, slowing you down. The rains slows, and eventually stops, you can no longer feel it, yet you can still hear the thunderous drumming of rain meeting the ground. Confused, you raise your head, opening your eyes which had been shut tightly, only to find yourself at the edge of a small lake. Dense trees surround the lake, thicker and extremely massive compared to any tree you'd seen in the forest. Looking back down the trail, you can see the rain splattering viciously on the ground, yet not a single drop dare fall close to this strange lake. It had grown very dark, yet this small sheltered area remained lit, the waters of the pond gave off an extremely calming blue-green glow. Fireflies danced across the glassy surface, and you smile faintly at them. This place is so peaceful, you wonder what could possibly make this place this way. Suddenly, a small orb floats up out of the center of the lake, a huge blue crystal, the size of a basket ball. You blink in surprise, watching it intently as it sprouts two tiny wings, and floats effortlessly out of the water and into mid air. So memorized by the creature, you fail to notice the large dragon padding up behind you.

You freeze, whirling around to face the large beast. His long, purple body was accented with dark stripes, and a mane that cascaded down his slender neck. Two long whiskers protruded from either side of his slender face, curling slightly upward, and drooping down along his sides. His bright blue, pupiless eyes seem to be affixiated on your own. You swallow hard, opening your mouth to say something, but the words won't come out.

Hush, child. No need to fear me, I will not harm you. Besides, it seems Chirook has taken a liking to you.

He laughed softly, as the small blue crystal flew up along his side, brushing against his mane affectionately. You relax, taking the time now, to study the dragon. His body gives off a faint white glow, much like the lake, and the insides of his mouth and his pawpads, match the icy blue color of his eyes.

I'm sure you're wondering what all this is? Well, you see. I am Reterio, the forest spirit. This lake is my home, and is rarely entered by other creatures, aside from my friends, the fireflies.
