Important!!

My adoption agency is currently closed until further notice, due to real life events. I am not accepting any applications for my foster pets at present.

Introduction

Hi there!
All my foster pets were adopted from the pound as a plain coloured pet, and zapped with the intention of finding them a new home as soon as they turned a good colour. While in my care I look after them, but they really need a permanent owner to help them blossom and grow.

I don't require fancy applications - I'm quite happy to base my decision on the state of your accounts and how you come across over neomail. I have a short questionnaire that confirms that you understand my rules and gives me the information I need in order to see what kind of owner you are for your existing pets. If you really want to make sure that you impress me, take the time to give one of your existing pets some extra attention - a well-loved pet, with a detailed description and a gorgeous petpage will really get my attention!

Since I've been asked this a few times now - no, I don't mind in the slightest if you want to change the personality I've given to one of my fosterlings. If you do have a different personality in mind, please take the time to tell me a little about it along with the questionnaire. I genuinely enjoy reading them!

I reply to all neomails and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, but it may sometimes take me up to a week to do so if I am busy in real life. If you have not heard back from me, please do not try sending that same neomail again until at least a week has passed (or the day before the deadline!). I don't tend to penalize applicants for sending me lots of messages, but it can get annoying, and it really does slow down my answers for everyone. ^__^;

The Rules

1: You must have been playing Neopets for at least 4 months before you can adopt one of my pets. Neopets rule, not mine. If your account is younger than this, you won't be able to adopt my fosterlings, though for the right owner, I may be willing to hold a foster and wait until your account is aged. Ask if this is an issue.

2: You must understand that there is no guarantee I will choose you to be the new owner of my fosterling. I frequently get a lot of applications, so someone is going to lose out. Sorry!

3: You must have a space for my fosterling on your accounts. Even if you have foster pets on your accounts. Please do not apply unless you already have a space for my fosterling.

4: You must only apply if you are interested in keeping my foster pet, for yourself. I have seen pets adopted from one adoption agency, purely to be listed in another, and I have seen people apply purely so they could use the foster to trade for some other pet entirely.
Keep in mind, I'm doing something nice here - giving away painted pets. Don't abuse that; only apply if you're sincere in wanting to keep this foster.

5: You must agree that if, for any reason, you found yourself unable to take care of a fosterling adopted from me, you would contact me, either to return the pet to my care, or to allow me to be involved in selecting a new owner, if that's what you wish to do.

6: You must take the Pledge of Good Ownership. It's also nice to pet the pledge up in your lookup, but it's not a rule that you must do so.

7: I only use the transfer facility to move my fosterlings - please do not even ask to have them moved through the pound where anyone could grab them.

Currently Zapping

These pets are currently still undergoing lab treatment in search of their perfect form. If you're interested in adopting one despite this, neomail me on my main account, evie_fae immediately so I can stop zapping, but be warned - I may not feel that the foster is ready to find the kind of home I have in mind for them, even if someone is interested. ^^;

How to Apply

Please make sure you read both the lookup and petpage of any pet you wish to apply for. Although 99% of the time the rules and questionnaire will be just the same as they are here, the deadline, any finalists, and any special rules will only be found there. It's a good idea to check it out!

To apply, please complete the following details and send them to my evie_fae account only (It's long, so more than one neomail is fine) using the subject line "PETNAME Questionnaire".

Anywhere you see PETNAME in the questionnaire, please replace PETNAME with the name of the pet you're applying for. If you don't, be warned, I'll giggle at you, and probably have to ask who you're applying for. ^__~

You may place my questionnaire on a petpage, if that's more convenient for you, and you may 'pretty it up' a little. Please don't go all out and create masses of art and roleplaying samples and poetry and goodness-knows what else. I'm not interested, really. If you do go ahead and put the questionnaire on a petpage, please make the names of your accounts and pets for those answers clickable links. Just because it makes it easier for me! ^__~
