So you want to adopt a pet from me? Well, here's the list of rules that you should read before even considering it. Make sure you fully understand my requirements before you get started applying for any of these wonderful creatures.

1. Send ALL messages via Neomail to the account "Starry_eyed1329" with the foster's name in the message title.
2. Be sure to explain any nickname(s) you're giving them and how to pronounce the nickname(s).
3. NEVER ask for a pet that isn't up for adoption. If you do this you will be permanently blacklisted and never allowed to adopt any of my fosters.
4. Spell-check! I won't disqualify you if there are just a few typos, but if there are a lot of them, then I might have to reject you.
5. Please list any and all accounts you currently have on Neopets, as well as specifying which account the foster would reside on if you're chosen
6. I will respond to tell you how your application went. If it becomes a finalist, then congratulations! If it's rejected, work on it and feel free to try again :) But if I disqualify you, then please do not apply for this pet again.
7. IF MAKING A LONGER APPLICATION: Please notify me that you're applying for the pet before you start. You can do this by Neomailing the account "Starry_eyed1329
8. ALWAYS follow any pet specific application rules :) These rules will be listed with the pet's Unique Notes.
9. I will not accept people who plan on selling/trading away/pounding a pet in order to take in my foster. It's just not cool.

Do you really want to make a good impression on me? If so, then here's some suggestions on how to make your application stand out from all the rest!

1. Make sure to use the pet's proper name AND gender when you refer to them. Changing a pet's gender is perfectly okay and possible, just let me know in the application.
2. Personality is key! No, really, it is! A unique personality that's well thought out will score major points towards uniting you with your prospective pet.
3. I'm a writer, and as such I love to see and read stories, poem, songs, or anything else you can think up to write for the pet.
4. Make a history for the pet. Match the mind to the time and make it as real as you can!
5. Art is wonderful in all sorts of shapes and forms. From full drawings, to pixel art, from graphic images, to adoptables, even the artistically challenged can come up with some way to get their visions onto the screen.
6. Roleplaying and story writing are just a step beyond other forms of writing in my opinion as they show that you really know the character and have invested yourself into it quite a bit.
7. Show me how your other pets are treated! If your current pets are happy and healthy, then it'll put my mind at ease as to what awaits my foster. This is a HUGE part of how I pick owners.
8. Have a collection on Neopets that you're proud of! From stamps to petpets, a collection proves that you're dedicated! But please remember that Pets are NOT items, and should NOT be considered a collection in any way, shape or form.



9. All in all, just be creative, show me who you are and what will happen the months and years after you've adopted my foster.

1. No, I do not require that applications be in the form of a petpage, but they are allowed.
2. If you decide that you'd like to make a petpage application, please put in the standard disclaimer saying that I didn't force you to do it.
3. Rules are subject to change at any time. But if you have already notified me I will tell you about the change.
4. I am in NO way selling, trading, or lending ANY of these pets!
5. It is up to you, the applicant, whether you'd like to use the transfer option or not (unless otherwise specified in the pet's Unique Notes)
6. If you decide against waiting for the transfer option, then once the pet is in the pound, ANYONE can get it! No guarantees!
7. If, at ANY time, you no longer want the adopted pet for ANY reason, PLEASE contact me about returning them before giving/trading/adopting them away yourself.
