SIMPLE CONCEPTS ON NEOPETS:
There are some basic rules of neopets that I will explain in this section.
Always feed your pet and at last option keep them at least above starving. If your pet or pets are in the state of dying for a month contaning 31 days, you will be suspended from neopets for at least 24 hours. I would suggest to you to avoid this.
Wondering how to avoid this? Well you can simply leave you pets in the care of a trusted friend. If you choose to do this please make sure that the friend is extremly trustworthy and you change certain things in your user preferences as soon as you are back. If you don't want to do that then you might want to consider the possibility of leaving them in a neolodge that is located in the main shops map. A neolodge is where you can pamper and take care of your pet all without doing it. This will cost a minimum of 5 neopoints a day for up to 28 days. If you were to spend 50 for better service and left it for all 28 days it would end up costing 1400 neopoints. There are many types of service so if you want to really pamper your pet and give them a good treat it would be at least 5000 for all 28 days.
My personal beliefs are that the whole idea of neopets was to get people to take care of animals without acctually having to be right there. You can support this by taking good care of your pet. You should treat your pet like a real one. It deserves the care of a true friend. You can buy it everything from pizza to home furniture. Your pet will not be real of course, but in pretending it is a real friend you will gain life values.
Do not break any neorules while on neopets! You WILL get reported and probably get expelled or suspended from neopets. Your account will be gone!!! I don't think this is a risk anyone should take. So please follow the neolaws. I am wanting to especially stress the scamming ones. if you want to protect yourself from scammers read the security advice by clicking here.
HELP ON EARNING BASIC NEOPOINTS:
A lot of peoples goals for neopets is to earn a certain amount of neopoints. It is suggested that you make a goal, too. I have noticed a lot of people want baby paintbrushes and set goal according to that. Well if you do that you will need 5000 neopoints a day for 20 days. That's not asking too much. Most baby paintbrushes cost 99,999 and are avalable at the shop wizard and at the hidden tower.
Once you have a goal figure out how much neopoints you need to earn a day and for how many days to get to your goal to help you out.
A good idea for raising neopoints is to open up a shop if you don't already have one. Put useful things in it for reasonable prices. Then advertise it though the boards and think of clever banners to advertise with in your store. If you would like me to put a link to your shop to advertise it on this page, you can neomail me. I will not accept everyone's request because i will look at how much you might need it. To get an idea of what prices things are selling for why not look for it in the auctions or for it through the shop wizard? This way you will get a fair price for it because if you sell an item for a lot less than what its worth then you are missing out on neopoints.
The best easiest and original way to earn neopoints is just to play games on neopets. Try playing all of the games and see which ones you are better at. Once you figure that out play those games on a daily basis. Even if the featured game is one you are rather bad at you should still play it because you will get double the actual neopoints for it! So don't forget to keep on playing because not only is it fun but you get neopoints, too. I also reccommend you play stockmarket which is located on the bottom of the games page.
BUDGETTING:
Spending neopoints is just like spending money so you must remember to budget it. I would buy things like neohomes and galleries unless I am sure I wanted to spend my neopoints that way. I also don't care too much about buying too many things for my neopets because I keep in mind that they are not real. I get food for them through the free food like pepsi and gaint ommlette. I will occasionaly buy them faerie bubbles and pizza. The same things goes along with toys, I don't buy unless they need. All toys do is make my neopets happier(well that's what it says on their profile) and get broken, so I don't rely on them. Things I do buy are battledome weapons and shields, medicine if my pet is sick,anything I need for a quest, and anything I can sell for a higher price or make a lot of profit out of. I think it might help you if you do the same.
If your want to acheive your goal by all means spend money for the goal, but keep in mind that if that isn't nessessary why should you do it? Make sure to budget your money though. It will save your a lot of money and get you a step closer to your goal.
