Welcome, guest to this brilliant guide to Sutek's Tomb!

I haven't gotten onto the scoreboards YET... however I have produced a guide for Sutek's Tomb to help an ordinary person (that's you, guest)* or even a weird and random person (that's me!) to achieve a 2000+ point score. When you send your score which is over 2000 (note: I said "WHEN" and not "IF"), you'll get a pop-up window (PLEASE, before you send you're score, allow pop-ups temporarily) saying that you've found a new avatar (and a spiffeh one at that!) for you to show off on the NeoBoards! It looks like this:

Now to the questions you are probably longing for the answers to:

How do I play?

In order to gain a 2000+ score, you'll OBVIOUSLY need to know how to play! Basically, you need to line 3 in a row of the same symbol by swapping tiles that are next to each other (or adjacent tiles). You can only do this horizontally (|) or vertically (-), however. Here's an example:

I'm sure you'll get the hang of it when you start to play!

What do all the funny-looking tiles do?
There are several "funny-looking tiles" as you put it… and I have listed all of their meanings here:

This is The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy (from TNT)! If you are lucky enough for him to grace you with his presence, and you can get him to the bottom of the board, the WHOLE BOARD WILL BE CLEARED!!!!!!! How cool?

This is the ankh! If you can make it reach the bottom, if will clear the WHOLE horizontal AND vertical line!

The picture above shows the scarab beetle! It works like the ankh, but it only clears the whole horizontal line it's on.

That's the bomb! If it drops more than two lines, it will explode and destroy all the symbols above it.

See that? That is the wild card and it can be used as any other tile!

How do I get a good score?

Practice makes perfect. (Then again, nobody's perfect… but we won't go into that…) I know it takes FOREVER and sounds corny… but it's true! (Kind of…) Also, ALWAYS play in Hard mode unless it's your first go. Hard mode gets you a LOT more points in less time! In time, you will get used to seeing and clicking tiles that create a match. I DO have some handy hints available... but that's in the next section!

Have you got any tips/cheats for me?

Yes, I certainly do! I've got loads so prepare yourself for a LOT of ideas...

Typing "plzsutekcanihavemoretime" gives you… more time… o.O You can only move this once per game though.

Typing "pyramibread" does NOT give you free Pyramibread! It tells you where your next move can be. You can use this as often as you like!

APPARENTLY, if you type "scarabaeus" you'll get more time, but this has never worked for me.

Look for combos at the bottom of the screen… you are more likely to set off a chain reaction there than right near the top.

I find playing on X-Large the easiest because you can see the icons much more clearly.

When typing "plzsutekcanihavemoretime", wait until RIGHT at the end of your time before typing it. I tend to type it all except the "e" and wait until the last possible moment.

Turn all MSN/AIM/Yahoo Messenger etc. windows off. I know you friends need to know about that fabulous party you had last night, but if you want to successfully master Sutek's Tomb, then you need as less distractions as possible.

Getting combos adds extra time on - and in this game, time is precious! So work as quickly as you can!

Eat carrots. (That was random… o.O) They… er… help you see in the dark????

Ok, I'm running out of ideas here...!

I need training!
Aha! Well, take a look at these screenies! I'll be adding more soon! (Hopefully…)

This one is EASY!!!!! I've even helped you! Find the best combo.

Yes, that's right! The orange splats in the second row could be linked!

This one is slightly harder! Find the combo that will make another combo.

If you chose joining the orange splats together (fourth row) to make the Gebs make a combo, then you were absolutely right! XD

I want to get rid of the two bombs. How do I do it in one move?

To get rid of them, all I have to do is move the wildcard down. It will turn into a bomb and they will make a combo! Easy, eh?

What is the BEST move here?

See those orange splats at the bottom on the left? They could be connected!

I'm bored! What do I do?
Firstly, STOP PLAYING. You will NOT get a good score if you're bored. Here are some tips on becoming… er… UNbored!

  • Take a break from the computer. Chances are, if you take a break, when you come back you'll feel loads better.
  • Read the Neopedia article about Sutek's Tomb! It's located HERE if you want to see it!
  • Do something else. If you don't want to come off the computer, then play something else! You could play a game, restock, do your dailies, chat on the NeoBoards, etc. When you feel better, go back to practicing Sutek's Tomb.
  • Eat carrots. THEY HELP YOU SEE IN THE DARK!!!! *gasp*

What happens if I run out of moves?
Don't worry - you won't lose. I thought I would lose if there were no more moves availible... but actually it's a good thing! This message will come up:

It's a good thing because the board will be scrambled, and there will be a LOT more moves (trust me) and it will be waaaaayyyyyy easier.

I hope you get your avatar soon!

*Note: As you can see, I like brackets! xD

YAY! First ever fan mail!!!
