How did the agency get started?
I'd read one too many scammer boards, and I decided that, having received a great color zap from my now-unused lab ray, I would use it to help others get their dream pets. I posted a request board that night, and got about thirty requests. The next day, I recruited my very first zapper. Then, my second zapper made me the first happy zapper homepage. Things kind of took off from there! 5 days after I posted that first board, I had to make a guild to communicate with all of the zappers. Now, not even a year later, the agency is extremely successful, with around 50 zappers and over 750 requests!
What does the agency do?
My zappers and I surf the pound for very well named pets, which we adopt and zap until the color and/or species is changed by the lab ray to match the requests you guys give us. Then, we give you the pet! It's that simple!
So how do I request my dream pet?
I put up a few boards a week in the Neopian Pound boards around 7 NST. This is the preferred way to make a request. If your schedule does not allow you to make it to one of my boards, then neomail your request to happy_zapper with Zappy Happy in the subject line. Remember, no matter where you make your request, the rules still apply: no draiks, krawks, lutaris, ice boris, royals, babies, plushies, pirates, usukis, or quigukis. Also, only one SPECIFIC request per person!
Will my pet come with a petpet?
While not an official service of the agency, many zappers have begun zapping petpets to go with the pets we're zapping. It probably won't match your pet, but at least it won't be an altachuck or pile of soot!

How long will it take to get my dream pet??
It depends. Zaps are totally random, so there's no guarantee that we will ever zap your pet. Of course, the odds say that at least one of us will zap your dream pet. Also, if you request a popular pet like a faerie Xweetok, MSPP Poogle, or chocolate Cybunny, it will take a long time to get your pet, as we run on a first come first serve basis. Some people have gotten their dream pet only minutes after making their request, others have waited months. It just depends. The only way to affect your chances is to take good care of your accounts- we remove extremely inactive users, as well as ones with miserable pets, from our list, and will not grant to such accounts.
Why won't you take stat, name, gender, or UC requests?
Stats are a side effect of zapping for a long period- your pet's stats will likely be decent. Nevertheless, we really don't believe that someone's dream pet is a fighter. Sorry!
Gender can only be controlled through the lab ray or fighting the lab scientist. We can't try for a gender change with the lab ray, due to the risk of the color or species changing, and not all of our zappers have the scientist as a challenger. You're welcome to experiment with either of these once you get your pet, but we will not take gender requests. You MAY have the option, when we contact you, to switch the gender- if the zapper is willing and able.
Every pet we zap is VWN, in Xxxxx format. Occasionally, we may have found your dream pet in the pound, or may even already have your dream pet UFA. In those cases, the name may not be perfect. You don't have to accept a pet whose name you don't like, but please keep in mind, another pet may not come around for a while.
Finally, it is currently impossible to get a UC pet from the lab ray.
Can you zap my pet for me?
No. According to Editorials 363 and 344, this is explicitly against the rules. Also, we will not adopt your pet to be a lab rat, even if you will never get it back.
Can I still request a pet I'm not old enough to adopt?
Sure! Since you might not be getting your pet for a while, you can request any pet at any age. However, if we zap your request before you're old enough to adopt, we'll keep you on the list, but grant the request after yours, unless you're only a few weeks away from being old enough.
If I become a zapper, can I still make a request?
Of course! Zappers not only can make requests, but are bumped up to the top of their lists. Fortunately, most zappers already have acheived their dreamies, so it will likely not affect your chances of getting your pet.
How are pets transferred?
Transfers are ultimately up to you and the zapper granting your dream. If you are set on a transfer, ask the zapper if they have their transfers open or are willing to hold the pet until another time.
