October 12, 2009: -grumble- The lovely TNT (yes I really do love you guys xD) Changed the coding again, so I was unable to update because I fail at coding. Luckily scifi_crazy helped me out so MIS is back in business! I have fixed the 'link me' section, the broken link in the 'neomail me' section, and have a list of mallows that I've collected over the past few days that I will be adding soon! & Thanks to a random stranger (lol) I was able to fix a wrong link, and they were feeling extra generous and made me a button! :*

Hello and welcome to *loud booming voice* MARSHMALLOWS IN SPACE! The newest and best Mallow Grundo directory around. Why did I choose Mallow Grundos? Easy, they just look so delicious and squishy, thats why! So sit back, relax, and let the Diddler show you the Mallows in their glory!

Marshmallows In Space was created on April 15, 2008. I had been wanting to make a pet directory for quite some time after i realized how unique and helpful they were. So I started thinking of some pet ideas. Every idea I thought of already had at least 2 or more directories! I kept thinking, I really wanted to do it about some unique, special, and rare pet. Then I thought of the Mallow Grundos! Perfect! I have only come across one other directory and it was just an idea that I could not resist! So i set to work and researched ALL the Mallows and information.NOTE; This is not an adoption agency. DO NOT neomail the owners of these Grundos asking to adopt them. Thank You.
Want a Mallow Grundo?
So you want a little marshmallow of your own? Well getting one isn't that easy. There isn't a marshmallow paint brush, or any food that will turn your pet mallow, not even a morphing potion. Well then how do i get one? Glad you asked! Here are the three ways you can have one of the cutest neopets out there;The Fountain Faerie
The Fountain Faerie is capable of giving a Faerie Quest (sometimes referred to as FFQ), which is rarer than normal Faerie Quests. Like other Faerie Quests, the only way to receive it is through a Random Event. The items she asks for are completely random, and have an item rarity between 94 - 96, making them usually expensive (depending on the item). As a reward for completing the quest, the Fountain Faerie will allow a user to paint one Neopet almost any colour (Ice, MSP, Quiguki, Robot, Royal, Sponge, and Usuki are not available). Until a Fountain Faerie quest is completed, the Rainbow Fountain will not work for the user, and once completed, the user can visit any time they wish, and the Rainbow Fountain will still work. Because of the rising cost of Paint Brushes, the Fountain Faerie is seen as a cheaper option to change the colour of a Neopet, making her quests highly desirable.
It has been confirmed that you are able to get a Mallow Grundo from a FFQ. So if you are lucky enough to get one of her quests and you really want a Mallow Grundo, go for it!
The Secret Laboratory Map

Somewhere on the outskirts of Neopia, a remote island hosts the crowning achievement of a brilliantly deranged mind. Since no one is really sure of his true name, most call him "the mad scientist." Every day, hundreds of Neopets form a queue for a chance to be zapped by his "Secret Laboratory Ray." Many of those who wait for a zap from the ray have paid hundreds of thousands of Neopoints for the privilege, in the belief that its powers could make them stronger or more beautiful. The Lab Ray (as it's called) is not all fun and games, though. Many a Neopet has fled in tears after being weakened, made hideous, or even gender-swapped. Depending on how you look at it, the Lab Ray is either a magnificent or horrific invention. So, if you've managed to piece together the Secret Laboratory map and unlock the island's hidden location, why not visit the Lab Ray the next time you're up for a bit of mysterious excitement? Remember though, just one zap per day; it's all a Neopet can really handle. The Lab currently costs around 800k. Although it may be a little bit cheaper is you buy the pieces separate in shops.
This is the most common way to get a Mallow Grundo. Although the lab is random. You could zap a Grundo (or any pet for that matter) for a year and it might not change into a Mallow. So your chance at getting a Mallow Grundo is unknown from the lab, all I can say is Good Luck!
Flask of Rainbow Fountain Water
It is unconfirmed if you are able to receive a Mallow Grundo by using the Flask. But why not try for yourself? How do I get this Flask you ask? By playing the Underwater Fishing Game. Your pet will be able to catch the Flask if his or her fishing skill is 78 or higher.
Caution; The flask is RANDOM. Meaning that you can only use it once and it does NOT guarantee a color change. Example; You could use the Flask on a Green Bruce, and he could be changed to a Green Bruce. Or it may turn into some color like pink or draigan. Also the Flask can change your pet *some* colors the Fountain Faerie cannot. On the trading post Flask costs around 800k. Beware that it is totally random and that you may only use it once. I suggest the Lab Ray, it is a much better investment. But if your adventurous and would like to help crack this "Mallow Flask Mystery" why not try?

Worthy Petpets
When choosing a petpet for your mallow you must be very careful... you wouldn't want a little monster who would be munching on your precious pet would you? So take a look at the below list when choosing your petpet:
A Mallowicious Craft!
I bet you were one of those kids who was drawing on the walls, going crazy with the glue and glitter, and making snowflakes like none other when you were a kid. No? Well even if not so this is a craft for everyone around! If you love neopets this craft is just for you. Now today kids we are going to make our very own... mallow grundo!
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 2 red-hot candies
- Mallow puff spread
- 2 large marshmallows
- 4 small marshmallows
- A small pulled off round slice of black licorice
In the mallow that I made above I didn't have any red-hot's or licorice. So instead I took a red and black sharpie and drew my face on. Please do not eat your mallow if you use markers!!
Step One
Get a plate out. Take your two large marshmallows. Get out your puff spread and spread a little bit across the top of one of the mallows. Then take your other marshmallow and stick it on top of the spread. You now have your body!
Step Two
Take your 4 small marshmallows and divide them into two groups of 2. Take your mallow spread and paste them together so they look as so in the picture. Then on the bottom of one end put more puff spread and stick to the head of your mallow! You are almost done!
Step Three
Use your puff spread to paste your red-hots on the face for the eyes and your licorice slice for the mouth. Now your mallow is complete! Sit down and enjoy this tastey little snack, that your mom didn't make for you, and be proud of your little mallow. :)
PLEASE NOTE:
NO REAL NEOPET MALLOW GRUNDOS WERE HURT, EATEN OR USED IN MAKING THIS SNACK. IF YOU ARE A MALLOW GRUNDO OWNER PLEASE SHIELD YOUR MALLOWS EYES WHEN EATING THE DESSERT.
The Types
So what is "Converted and Non-Converted" you ask? When neopets re-designed the site and pets in 2007, some of the pets were re-drawn. If you had a Mallow Grundo before the re-draws then your Mallow grundo is called "Non-Converted" meaning that is still looks like the old Mallow Grundos. If you have a Mallow Grundo zapped from the lab today it would be called "Converted" because it no longer looks like the old style. Both styles are creative and unique and still just as special. :)

A: I do not add "lab rats" into the directory, if you are to join please do not zap your pet. This will be easier for me to keep the directory all Mallows. :)
Q: May I submit someone else's Mallow if they are not already in the directory?
A: No. You may however neomail me their username so I may ask if they would like to join.
Q: How come some of the Mallows owners aren't/havent been active for quite some time?
A: Yes I know some of the Mallows owners no longer play neopets but that still doesn't mean that they shouldn't get recognition for being great pets, a Mallow is a Mallow after all!
Q: What made you chose Mallows?
A: Marshmallows are one of my favorite food. BUT please note that I have never eaten a Mallow Grundo and never will thank you very much!
