When I look at the pound, what do I see? Scores of pets with names that look as though someone named them blindfolded. Now, is there anything inherently wrong with these pets? No! They just happened to be created by an owner who decided to give them an "unfortunate" name. While this name could have a meaning behind it to the original owner, once these pets are released into the pound they are often scorned and looked down on simply because of their name. It is mysef and Meaghan's goal to lab these pets until they are beautifully painted, and then find them the perfect owner who will love them despite how they are named. Now, we know that pets shouldn't be judged by how they look, but some people need a little extra push to distinguish one pet from another. Oftentimes pets are distinguished by having "good" names, but those that don't have good names need a little extra help. That's where we come in. Meaghan always has at least three spots open on her account(s) to bring in foster pets. We heal them, feed them, play with them, and read to them. Finally, we bring them to the lab until they are blessed with a lovely colour to bring out their inner beauty. During this time, they are also usually trained by the lab - making many of our fosters into potential battle pets if the owner so chooses. Each foster pet stays with us no matter how long it takes - no pet is pounded because they are slow to get a colour zap. I truly believe that all pets are important no matter what their name or colour, and it just takes a little bit of work from their owner to let their true personality shine through. Looking down on a pet because of the way they look is snobby and elitist. Pets should not become trophies. This is why Meaghan and I do our absolute best to rehome our beloved fosters to people who love their pets, giving them each their own personalities and stories. Not only does this bring the owner and their pets closer together, it also lowers the chance of abandonment in the future because of the bond brought on through creativity. This is where I keep track of our current and former foster pets. It's a nice way to let these pets know that we haven't forgotten about them, and also a good way to keep notes about how the adoption turned out. Current Available Fosters:

So, in order for me to find my fosters the best possible home, I've decided to give you some tips - both on applying AND on adopting the actual pet. I have very few rules, so don't get worried that adopting my pets is a long process. It's not! Applying! So, the first thing that I look for in a potential owner are that they follow all of TNT's Terms and Conditions. I won't have rulebreakers adopt any of my fosters, as I would hate for them to end up in a frozen account. Please make sure you've read these Terms and are following them - this includes having a maximum of five accounts, having only one main account, not scamming or cheating, having an active shop on only ONE account (your main) and respecting the Neopets community. The second thing I look for in an owner is that they have room to adopt my foster and the account they want to adopt on is old enough. Remember: there are certain pets that can be adopted by accounts younger than four months, but as a general rule your account must be at least four months old in order to adopt a painted pet. To find out the exceptions to this rule, please go here. Yes, adopting my fosters on your side account is ok, just as long as you treat them as equally as you do to the pets on your main account. I understand that even if a pet is not on your main, you can still love it just as much! Look at me - I'm not on Meaghan's main account, but she sure adores me! When you neomail to apply for one of my fosters, a huge factor in whether or not your are chosen is if your pets have pet lookups. It does not take long to give your pets a personality and a lookup with a nice little blurb about them. If your pets don't have lookups, I will not consider you. It shows you don't take the time to get to know your pets. I'm not saying you don't still love them, but having at least a little something on their lookups shows that you took the time to learn a little more about them. Yes, I look at the pets on your side accounts as well. ;) So, now that you have the basics down pat, how do you apply? Well, it's not that hard at all! I DO NOT ask for petpages - a well written neomail is more than enough. You may send me a petpage application, of course, but I won't give it any more priority than I will to a nicely written neomail. It's up to you whether or not you want to spend the time - remember, I usually only have these fosters up for adoption for one week! You don't want to get overlooked because your petpage app took too much time. In a neomail, I would really love it if you could tell me the following things:
Your username This does not have to be a long neomail, only thoughtful and sincere. You may include poems/stories or send multiple neomails, but this is unnecessary. One neomail will do! Also, don't forget: Please don't call my foster by the wrong gender or name, please don't reuse applications, and please be certain you want to adopt my foster to a permanent home. Adopting! Congratulations! You've been chosen to adopt one of my beautiful foster pets! Wow, that's fantastic. :) But... now what? Thanks to the new transfer system, transferring my foster to you is a whole lot easier! Once I transfer the pet to you, you will receive a notification in the top left hand corner of the navigation bar. Hit the link that says "User-to-User Transfer Offer", and then all that is left to do is hit accept! Remember: you will be charged a small adoption fee, so make sure you have some neopoints on hand to adopt! Good luck! And thank you for choosing my foster! So, you're interested in the story behind my name? Are you sure? Positive? Alright then! Here it goes. TO BE CONTINUED [ Gwyneth Urania Ramira Lysanne ] Meanings of my name: Gwyneth is Welsh, and it means luck and happiness. I would prefer if you called me Gwyn, though. Mum always does, and it seems to fit me more. Urania is the Latin form of a Greek name, Ourania, which means heavenly. Ramira means wise and famous in Spanish. Lysanne has double meanings, since it is composed of two names. "Lys", meaning freer and liberator, and "Anne", which means favour and grace.
