This guide will be going through some tweaking until I'm completley satisfied with it. And I really hope that my image host holds up.

I know what you're here for. It's taunting you isn't it? Look at it there, flashing its pretty colours at you. Well after reading this maybe, just maybe you'll be able to get it. It's going to take a lot of practice and more patience than you can imagine, but if I can manage it so can you.

Well I could go through and explain what every bubble does, but I think that would be fairly pointless when the tutorial that comes with the game shows you much better than I could. And even without that, after five minutes playing I'm pretty sure you'll understand what all the different combos do anyway.

Always play the game in large screen mode

It helps to have the larger screen for aiming correctly. However anything bigger than this and it stretches the game.

The Irritating Dropping Roof of Doom and the Bubble Firing Bonus Scheme

Personally, I think that the single most important tip anybody needs to know about this game is that it is not timed in anyway. Sure, when you first start playing it, it may seem like it, but that big black block will only move after you've fired off a certain number of bubbles.
The amount of bubbles varies between each level, but averages out to five before the block moves.

The second single most important tip (hehe) is the fewer bubbles you fire off per round the more points you score for that round. You acquire a bonus for the number of bubbles fired. If you take a look at the scoring between rounds it'll all come clear to you.

This is level 1 before I have fired off any bubbles. It takes six bubbles to make the block move on this level.

The first screenshot is taken after six bubbles have been fired, I have highlighted them, badly, so you can get a slightly better understanding of how the block lowering works. The second image is taken after twelve shots have been fired, and you can see the block has lowered again.

The Piling Technique

This is an example of what you should do if you are left with two or three different types of bubble, you're near the end of the level and just can't seem to finish it off.

Assuming you have enough space left to manoeuvre just fire the bubbles on top of the other type. So very hard to explain hence the screenie.. Then just blast away the ones at the top. Sorted. No need for that annoying "I just need one more fire bubble, oh no I got another water", just stick the water onto the fire and you're done.

Weird Glitch

This occured when a rainbow bubble bounced off the side and hit nothingness and turned into a nova bubble. There's not a lot you can do unless you happen to get a random nova bubble or have your stardust code left. Sorry.

The Codes

There are four codes which can be used throughout the game, which do four different things.
Stardust changes the active bubble to a Nova bubble. The Nova Bubble will blast any bubbles it touches. Pop!

Faerieland changes the active bubble to a Rainbow bubble. This, after being fired, changes into the bubble it touches first. Or a random bubble if it hits nothing. Zoom!

Bubbles changes all the bubbles on screen to the same type. This can sometimes be bad if they change to all dark bubbles, but you can worry about that later in the game. Wow!

Slumberberry returns the black block to the top of the screen. I think you know what this looks like, so I'll credit you with not needing pictorial evidence.

The secret of getting a high score in this game and being awarded that oh so purdy avatar, is to use the codes at the optimum time. This is what I'm here to help you do, as well as offer a few other tips along the way.

Two quick ones which some people have pointed out to me and which I shall add now are to use a ruler or some kind of straight edge if you are not 100% confident with your aim and you're getting close to the end. The second would be that when you score 250 just for reaching the last level it doesn't show up on your current score. It will show when you come to send. So basically if you have 1750+ and then you die, that is enough.

Always double check that score before you quit and begin again, you might just already have the 2000 points you need.

Now read on!

Level 1

Easy as pie. If you need any help with this then I suggest playing another game. Get as few shots in as possible but make sure you get that top combo of fire.
If you start off with an air, dark or earth combo along the top, start again. Too many shots and not enough bonus points.

Level 2

A good level to practice your aiming skills on. Get that centre combo out of the way and then blast those two lots of two on either side. If you're very lucky this level can be completed in three shots.

Level 3

Easy as pie again, although the piling tecnique described earlier may be required. Get as few shots in as possible and get those combos. More good aim practice.

Level 4

Okay, I'm going to demonstrate a quick and easy way to get rid of those nasty dark bubbles.

The left image shows where you should aim the first fire bubble, and the right the second fire bubble. Boom, or rather burn, they're all gone. You're just left with those three on the right to get rid of. A lot fewer shots have been fired off and that's a few more points to add to your pot.

Level 5

This one too is decepitively simple. Some people suggest that you shoot a fire bubble onto the earth bubbles and then form a combo to burn the lot away. Personally I think this is down to your own judgement. It might take longer and more shots to do it that way. Whichever seems right with the upcoming shots and for your particular level. And besides you may not get this layout of bubbles!

In my attempt to show you exactly what I meant here, I fired off a lot more bubbles than I would have if I'd just done it normally! Like I said, judgement call.

Level 6

As you can see from my beautiful screenies levels 6 and 7 are pretty similar, they're just a mirror image of each other.
If you've been practicing you're aiming you should have no problems getting past these two. And as a side note I tend to work from one side to the other just in case i get a Nova bubble. That way I'm blasting away a lot instead of having to choose one side or the other.

Level 7

Well if you can't come up with a different level tnt, don't expect me to write more tips :p

Level 8

This is actually a very nasty example of this level and the best example I could find of the worse case scenario. They are definitely not all this bad. The dark bubbles aren't really that much of a problem, but the light and air are.
The light have a tendency to turn everything around them to air in my experience, so you may be just as well to blast the air bubbles first. You may have to use slumberberry if things get desperate, although if you can, save it for later in the game, you will be needing it then. Still, the further you get through the game the more practice you get, right?

If you get a luckier level than this with fire combos, make sure you use it to your advantage. Burn away the nasty combos and keep your fingers crossed.
I also tend to get rid of the one bubble in the middle, in this case the air one, so I can hit all the dark bubbles in one go. In my mind if you have to get them you might as well do them all at once.

Good luck, you're going to need it.

Level 9

This one is also pretty darn tricky. This is where you begin to understand the importance of pressing the up arrow to centralise your gun thingy.
Think hard before you fire each shot, unless you're uber confident. Don't try to build combos and aim very, very well.

And as a quick side, I always start from the middle and work my way out to the sides.

Level 10

Not too bad after those previous two nasty ones. Even if you get bad combos like here.

If you get fire at the sides with earth in the centre, as so often happens, aim well and burn the earth ones away.

Level 11

Level 11 can be very nice, like this example, or very very mean.
If you get a layout like this burn away the fire combos first, making sure you get the bubble in the gap inbetween the fire and the air and then the fire and the light.

If you get air and earth combos, or possibly even dark, don't hesitate. Activate the nasty combos straightaway, they're not going anywhere and the sooner you do them the more room you'll have to manovre before the black block comes down.

Level 12

The next two are very nice, and not nearly as challenging as they can look. Ignore the fact that there seems to be nasty combos stretching across the screen. The air bubbles will just fall away, thankfully, without bringing a whole new bunch as they usually do. The earth just adds another layer at the top, and I think you can live with that. The dark is nearly always followed by air bubbles, so once you activate it you should have very little trouble squeezing an air through into the next layer.

The only problem I have ever come across is a Nova bubble. Sometimes they pop up and you have nowhere to fire them but into a row of air bubbles, thus breaking the chain across the screen and messing up the whole air bubbles will just fall away theory.

Fortunately this happens rarely, so don't let it keep you awake at night.

Level 13

I just did this one didn't I?

Level 14

I highly recommend using the Stardust code here. As you can see it blasts away almost half the bubbles if aimed correctly and should make what is an essentially very difficult level much, much easier. Still difficult, but much, much easier than without.

Level 15

This level is your money maker, and you will not get passed it without the aid of the code bubbles. This will result in the beautiful screenies you see above. Then with the code faerieland you will truly be in the money.

If you happen to get dark bubbles don't panic. I have on many occasions gotten past here after getting dark. The one problem is you won't get the extra bonuses for clearing the board in one shot. The same goes if you get earth bubbles.
So when you type in that code cross your fingers and hope for a nice lot of purdy light, fire, air or water bubbles.

Level 16

This is what you've been practicing the aiming for, so you can get past this bunch of levels. Aim to get the bubbles which are higher up and the bottom will fall away easily.

Congratulations for getting here, it took me a very, very long time.

Level 17

A little harder than the previous level, and I have to admit I got stuck here for a while. Just be careful, think before you shoot and if absolutely necessary use the slumberberry code, although hold off on this for as long as possible unless you're going to die. I want to see you clear that last level.

Level 18

I love you tnt for this one. Just shoot the layers away, aiming for the uppermost ones first. You'll need to bounce the bubbles off the walls, and I will get you a screenie of exactly where you should place the shooter, I promise.

Told you I'd get a pic up. Thank you so much Neobru for this. It's much appreciated.

Incidentally I have died on this level before now. But with a little practice working out where to shoot, you'll get it.

Level 19

Evil *kicks tnt*. You need lucky shots, and you need to get through this level. Use everything you have left and keep your fingers and toes crossed. You must get the 250 from the next level unless you've managed somehow to rack up a massive score already.

Level 20

Okay, we're there, finally.
You earn 250 bonus just for getting here.

If you haven't gotten enough for the avatar don't fret. The fact that you've made it through to the end means that the 2000 score is just waiting for you. It may take another week before you manage quite that much, it may take a year but if you can get this far you can get it.

Giant congratulations. You've made it. Through this guide and the game!

A big thank you to Sam, Kaleena, Maggs and Tina for keeping me sane the past few weeks. I really needed it.
