Somewhere on the outskirts of Neopia, a remote island hosts the crowning achievement of a brilliantly deranged mind. Since no one is really sure of his true name, most call him "the mad scientist." Every day, hundreds of Neopets form a queue for a chance to be zapped by his "Secret Laboratory Ray." Many of those who wait for a zap from the ray have paid hundreds of thousands of Neopoints for the privilege, in the belief that its powers could make them stronger or more beautiful.

The Lab Ray (as it's called) is not all fun and games, though. Many a Neopet has fled in tears after being weakened, made hideous, or even gender-swapped. Depending on how you look at it, the Lab Ray is either a magnificent or horrific invention.

So, if you've managed to piece together the Secret Laboratory map and unlock the island's hidden location, why not visit the Lab Ray the next time you're up for a bit of mysterious excitement? Remember though, just one zap per day; it's all a Neopet can really handle.

My name is Flintmica and I will be your host for the rest of your visit. Welcome to Lab Sector 23, Rica's fancy Labray Log (yes, quiet an introduction, no?). Twisted, you may think, but our one step to beautifying Neopia. Because of our efforts, we have helped less than fortunate Neopets find a warm home after a hopeless stay at the Pound.



Our Purpose

We want the whole of Neopia to open their eyes and realize the hundreds of Neopets that get dumped into the Pound each day-and that everyone can help out by adopting a pet. You don't necessarily need the Lab Ray to make a Neopet feel right at home; all they need is the thought that someone cares for them.

We also like to showcase what wondrous (and not so fabulous) things the LabRay can do, but fortunately for me, I won't have to suffer the thought of an unsuccessful trip. But seeing that not everyday is a happy day, I am proud to host the Lab Sector 23 on my petpage.



Statistics

Paco has access to the lab ray on princisee and surfersider.

Paco first released our Labray Log on March 18, 2007, in the very early hours.

The old formation with tons of useless information was replaced by simple images of what the lab had luckily zapped a pet! No more names, no more confusion.

The last update was December 11th, 2011.

Current successful Neopet count: 55.

Our goal of 50 successful neopets has been reached July 2nd, 2011!

I originally created her to be a Faerie Xweetok (or was it Pteri? I don't remember which one came first ;p). Obviously I had no idea how to earn neopoints, which is why she is a lab rat today. Most converted Faerie pets are ugly anyways haha
