About Me

Hello ^_^ My name is Natalie, and I am a 16 year old living in Vancouver.. Hm… I'll describe myself a weird and funny person. Actually, my friends describe me like that, I'm not all that good at describing myself XDD Anyway, more on what I like and dislike and stuff like that in the next paragraph.

I have green eyes, and brown hair, which has a little black in it. I hate jeans, period. My grades are pretty decent in school, I guess. I like to swim, and I'm a competitive swimmer. I love to play badminton as well, but just for fun with my friends. I love to wear belts. This may seem weird, but I have a different colored belt for each day of the week. ((Those were just some random facts XDD))

About me, Online Life

Well, I started neopets at around the age… 12? 13? Sometime there. I go on neopets almost every day, about an hour every time. I usually come to chat on boards and earn neopoints. I have also just started roleplaying my pets, and it was extremely interesting to do so with my pets. I have been playing for about 3 years, and have 3 accounts, natnatchyi (my old main), nantatchyi2 (my main), and _whispering_ (my side). I have happily, never been frozen. Or warned. Or anything like that. –has halo on head-

Why Merdrac?
Erm, yes, time for the part where I explain to you why I want -coughcough- I mean Flight_snake wants to be part of the Merdrac. Well, first of all, they're... cool =) I adore how they have the peaceful personality, and those frills. I just fell in love with them. Secondly, Flight always had a personality, design, things like that, except I never really found a place that suited her. I was on the verge of pounding her ((Yes, really)) before I found out about the Merdrac. I felt that everything fell in to place. The wingless part, her name, her story, design, personality.

Flight's Design
-nodnod- You can see from the layout that Flight //does// have a design. She is pale purple, with dark brown eyes. She has frills on her ears, back, and tail tip, which are bright-ish green, but the one on her tail tip is teal. There is a teal marking on her chest, and 3 black dots on both her left side and right side of her stomache. Flight also wears a blue glass bracelet on her tail, which she NEVER takes off.

The Personality
Flight's personality. She has two sides of her - depends on how close you are to her. An aquantince or stranger will get the quiet, and reserved type of personality. If you are one of those, then you have not reached the //good// side of her. If you are her best friend, known her for a long time, or is almost like family to Flight, then she is playful and outgoing. Sometimes, she even begins to seem crazy XDD

A Companion
When Flight first became a Merdrac, she helped a small tanizard that was injured. Later, she discovered that the tanizard had been lost, and could not find her family, or anyone she knew. So Flight offered the tanizard a home with her, and that's how she became Flight's companion. Her name is Shay.

Story
I was born wingless. Nobody knows why. My name is Flight_snake. Why, you ask, do I have the word 'Flight' in my name then? I was named before my parents gave birth to me. My name is a burden I carry, reminding me of something I never had, and will never have. But now I have something to make up for it. Being a part of the Merdrac.

My parents always treated me like I was normal, and not one without wings. But I would always miss out on the days they flew together, or when my classmates had flying contests at school.

Finally, on the day of my 16th birthday, my Ma took me to see the fortune teller off the coast of Mystery Island. It was traditional that all 16 year old girls would go see him on their birthday. I always expected my fortune to be special, but this one was more than I would ever had imagined. These were the exact words he told me. "Be one with the Merdrac."

My Ma fainted.

Later that night, my Pa explained to me that the Merdrac were a group of ancient draiks, whom were a mystic breed and very rare, and often used as shamans or healers.

When it was time to sleep, I lay awake, thinking of the fortune and Merdrac. 'Be one with the Merdrac'. I couldn't sleep at all. I soon made up my mind. I would see the Merdrac tonight. I left a note on my parent's desks, then left.

Slowly and quietly, I got out of the house, and on to the Mystery Island shores. In the moonlight, a figure of a draik emerged out of the waters, then popping back to the seas. The Merdrac indeed were beautiful creatures.

Taking a deep breath, I followed after, and in to the ocean, as if in a trance. But I had forgotten one important thing.
I didn't know how to swim.

Gasping for breath, I treaded in there, holding on to dear life. I probably didn't last very long. After all, you can't tread water for very long with out front arms or wings. I sunk, and blacked out.

The fresh scent of sea water was all around me. I blinked, and instantly remembered what had happened last night. But the question was, Where am I? I looked around my surroundings. It seemed that I was... on a coral bed of some sort, in the water.

WATER?!

Before I had a chance to do anything else, a group of maraquan draiks gathered around me, all of which had warm, smiling faces. "Welcome," They told me.

I smiled back. This would be my new life.
