I was born like any other lupe, of a mother and father, though I was raised without their love. They left me the minute I was born for maybe I was unwanted, unplanned, or for some other reason unknown to me. My pelt was red and my eyes a sapphire blue and there was nothing wrong with me. Maybe my parents were just cruel.
I do not remember how exactly I survived my first moments alone in the world but the thing I clearly remember is being out in the woods, I was about a year or so old, and I stepped in a trap and was taken to the pound by some human. I was thrown into one of those cages, small with food and water in the corner and some newspaper down on the floor. It wasn't the best place to live but I found it better than the cold outside world of forests and plains.
While living in the pound I saw many a human child walk by and stare into the cages of the other pets. The high squeals of joy still ring through my ears of the children's pure happiness at adopting their 'perfect pet' from the pound. Most days I didn't even dare walk up to the front of the cage like all the others and I just sat in the back watching. I really didn't want to be adopted. I was fine by myself or at least I thought.
It was a Saturday, around noon or so, when something startled me awake. When I opened my eyes I was looking straight into the face of a young girl around twelve or so who was peering into my cage at me. I got up, stretched, and walked over to her and sniffed her hand through the cage. Then she smiled at me and I poked my tongue through the bars and licked her face. It was an odd moment. I felt connected to her somehow. She walked away from me for a moment and then the next thing I knew I was on a leash out in the fresh air. She named me Flash and bought me a spiked collar. Then she took me home.
I later learned her name was Aya and I was a replacement pet for her. Before she had me she had a Starry Shoyru named Flashmaster that was taken from her and frozen. She got me to start over and try to forget about what was lost. That was why she named me what she did, in memory of her Shoyru.
Maybe a week later after I was adopted Aya took me back to the pound and told me I needed a companion, a female lupe. We searched the cages and finally found the one we were looking for; a beautiful yellow lupess brought in from the Lost Desert. She was in pretty bad shape, couldn't walk a step, and was abused by her previous owner. She was a bit quiet but we took her home and I raised her as if she was my own flesh and blood. Her name was Desert Yoko or Dy.
It wasn't long until more members of the family were adopted. Aya just couldn't help but get another Shoyru named Hidden Beauty from Terror Mountain, as well as a Kougra, Copper Kitsune, from Mystery Island. We were a strange bunch, one from the deserts, the mountains, the forests, and the ocean. Strangely Aya gave her Shoyru up to another owner and got a flightless Eyrie named Fire Falcon.
I never stayed around the house too long. I loved Aya and all but I liked having my space so I roamed the forests outside her house. While roaming the forests I met a lovely lupess named Vixen who then became my mate. Dy also got herself a mate, Vixen's brother Mono.
When all of us under Aya's watch reached a good age we all seemed to go our own ways. Dy and Fire fled to the Lost Desert where they could feel the sand beneath their feet. Copper returned to Mystery Island. I stayed with Aya and she trained me for the battledome. While staying with Aya she obtained two new pets. The first was a haughty gelert named Daggers and the second was a mutant lupe of purple hue named Rein. I grew attached to Rein instantly. We were like brothers.
Rein and I disappeared into the forests one day away from the city, the pound, Aya, and the others. We decided to make our own pack and rule over a territory though it never worked out and only the two of us hung together. We made our own territory though, just big enough for the two of us.
The more years went by I noticed my body was not aging. Rein was growing from a young pup to a mature adult but my body remained the same. I have never figured out why my body refuses to age but I do not question it anymore. I am probably the only lupe who has reached the fountain of youth and drank from it..that's the reason..yes. Maybe my waterfall home is the fountain of youth...That will have to be pondered another day.
I never got to actually know my mother. I was taken away from her at birth and adopted by the lovely Aya. Mother is probably long gone by now and I do not desire to have a foster mother. Even if I did have a foster mother it would probably turn out that I'm older than her and that would be..odd.
Father deserted me the minute I was born so like Mother I never got to know him. I would probably have to guess that he's the one I got my strength and speed from and my will to fight. I do not wish to have a foster father so don't ask.
Sister: Yoko
Yoko is my younger sister by one day exactly. She's gone through several different transformations over the years but I think she's going to stay like this now. She has not a single drop of Egyptian blood in her but she likes people to think otherwise. She used to stay with me always until we suddenly broke apart and she went to stay with her mate. Now we hardly talk but still we remain close by blood. Someday she wishes to be Desert or Island.
Rein and I are inseparable. Truthfully he's not my blood brother but more like an adopted sibling but we do everything together. He stays by my side always and I can trust him with anything. I don't know what I could ever do without him. He always seems to have his head in the clouds, dreaming of one day traveling to Tyrannia and being painted Tyrannian to match his current looks with the tusks and everything. He's young so maybe one day he'll get his dream.
My love and the most beautiful lupess in the world. We met a long time ago, when I was just a red lupe and it was love at first sight. She used to have a demon living inside of her but it is now gone. When we first met she also only had three legs but she died and was reborn with all four. Together we gave forth four beautiful pups yet only one remains. The others have left us and we don't know why.
My only remaining child and second born, this is Lunar. She can talk to the stars and predict fate. When she was first born she was blue with yellow star markings but as she got older her pelt changed to green with red markings. She found herself a mate and had children of her own. After things turned grim with her relationship, like her mother, she was reborn and her pelt was black and orange. She now wears a christmas style cape like her mother. Though she is still not happy I wish all well to her and I'll love her forever more.
Jab was adopted by Lunar making her my adopted grandchild. She's a good friend of my mate and her owner. She isn't your average skeith, she's a wind-lupe skeith. She's really interesting if you get to know her. She also has the ability to turn into a human as well as walk around like a skeith. I've heard of pets with this ability but I have yet to see it myself. She's also won a few trophies in the Beauty Contest and I'm a bit jealous. She's the most amazing and beautiful skeith I know. Go check her out sometime.
Mbwa was an African lupess who during the day was a mix of several different paint brush experimentations but during the night was black and gold. She was Lunar's first pup and the only one I got to meet personally. She was unfairly frozen and I will never see her again. It's a shame.
I never knew Fazzo nor of what he looked like. I suppose he looked like his father, Tyler, but I'm not all that sure. He was the second born to Lunar and Tyler but was unfairly frozen.
Like Fazzo, I never knew Xenako, though I do know she mated and had pups before she was frozen. She was the last and final pup of Lunar and Tyler. I will never know why my grandchildren were taken away from me, and their parents, but it was unjust and they will never again walk the forests of Neopia.
This is Luyete. She's changed a bunch since I last saw her. Last time we talked she was a plain green lupe but now look at her. She's beautiful and I am proud to be related to her.
I feel there is hope for me getting to know Wolf and his siblings. They are alive and well and hopefully they'll be here soon so we can talk. There is much I could learn from their generation and I am all up to learning and listening to what they have to say. I am really excited about meeting them.
Like Wolf, hopefully I'm going to get my chance soon to meet Aluna. Until then I cannot say what she is like or anything of that sort.
Valentine is my amazing great granddaughter who shares my ability to disobey time. Her body has stopped aging now that she's reached maturity and she thinks it's just the coolest thing ever. She died once searching for all that she lost when her mother died but oddly enough her soul found another body exactly like the one Valentine used to have but younger. I'm really happy she's alive and well now and I can't wait to meet her someday.
Like most of my family now, Chae is alive and well. She's currently staying with Luyete and I was so relieved when I found out that they were both okay due to the rumors that they were frozen. I have not seen Chae so I lack a full understanding of her personality and how she looks.
Copper is one awesome Kougra. He started off as a yellow Kougra and then was painted Christmas. When he was painted Christmas he lost his legs and gained a Maraquan look. He now lives around Mystery Island though swims back to the mainland to be with his four cubs and his mate, Grizz. We've been though a lot, me and Copper. I have to say I'm almost as close with him as me and Rein. He comes and visit me sometimes and I take him swimming in the waterfall, though he beats me at all the swimming races. I could never believe that I could befriend a feline but he proved me wrong. There's nothing wrong with cats. It's just I prefer wolves and other canines.
Whynde is a battle partner of mine and a bit like my rival though I manage to kick her butt everytime we fight. Right now she's going through some hard times. Her mate left her and she's all depressed and the like. I wish I could cheer her up but there's nothing I could really say that could make things better for her. I might even make things worse so I've kept my mouth shut. If you know any gelerts looking for mates and are willing to roleplay please contact her owner. I'd really appreciate it.
I'm not sure if I could call Daggers my friend but he resides within Aya's home so I must put up with him. He's a haughty royal pain in the butt if you ask me. He lives in a desert kingdom called Zephyr, which is Sakhmet's rival city. He lives his life smothered in riches and servents and to put it lightly he's a spoiled brat. He'd seriously hurt me if he could hear me saying all this about him. What he lacks in strength and size he makes up in dark magic which even I'm not sure I could take him on and win. Go check him out sometime.
Puppy has been though a lot. I was at her side when she died yet here she is back alive again. We've known each other a good year or so and we've competed in the battledome against each other a time or two, me winning of course, and she's just a very good friend. I'm really happy I met her and that she's walking the earth once more.
Hyenas are moderately large terrestrial carnivores native to Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. Although hyenas look like rather large wild dogs, they make up a separate biological family which is most closely related to the family of mongooses and meerkats.
The hyena has one of the strongest jaws in the animal kingdom and an adult of the species has only large cats to fear. An adult hyena's bite pressure is so strong it can crush bone.
The Spotted Hyena is the largest and best-known member of the hyena family. Adult females weigh as much as about 158 pounds; they are heavier than the males, which are typically 22 pounds lighter.
The spotted hyena is primarily a predator, not a scavenger. Individuals have been clocked at over 34 mph, and when hunting in packs are capable of taking down the largest of prey. The hyena's distinctive laughing call, used to disorient prey and gather the pack, has resulted in their nickname "laughing hyena".
Spotted Hyenas live in the savannas and deserts of Africa, in clans averaging 40 individuals - with some as large as 100. Female Spotted Hyenas socially dominant over their male counterparts. Males leave their natal group on reaching maturity, while females remain in it; the society is highly structured, with dominance relationship between the groups of females descended from a single mother that endure for generations.
Like many social carnivores, spotted hyenas are playful, especially when young. In captivity they can become very tame, and Europeans living in Africa have sometimes successfully made pets of them.
Hyenas are the most misunderstood of all the African carnivores so I hope you see them in a better light now. They are a very amazing species.
The Red Fox is most commonly a rusty red, with white underbelly, black ear tips and legs, and a bushy tail with a distinctive white tip. The "red" tone can vary from crimson to golden, and in fact can be brindled or agouti, with bands of red, brown, black and white on each individual hair when seen close up.
In the wild, two other color phases are also seen. The first is silver or black, comprising 10% of the wild population and most of the farmed. Approximately 30% of wild individuals have additional black patterning, which usually manifests as a stripe across the shoulders and down the center of the back. This pattern forms a "cross" over the shoulders, hence the term "cross fox". "Domesticated" or farmed stock may be almost any color, including spotted, or "marbled", varieties.
The fox's eyes are gold to yellow and have distinctive vertically slit pupils, similar to those of a feline. They can see just as well too, and combined with their extreme agility for a canid the Red Fox has been referred to as "the cat-like canid". Its long bushy tail with distinctive white tip provides balance for acrobatic leaps and bounds. Its strong legs allow it to reach speeds of 45 miles per hour. That amazing speed makes it easy for them to catch their prey or to outrun their predators.
The Red Fox may reach an adult weight of 6–15 pounds but this varies from region to region; European individuals being larger, on average, than those in North America.
During the autumn and winter, the Red Fox will grow more fur. This so-called 'winter fur' keeps the animal warm in the colder environment. The fox sheds this fur at the onset of spring, reverting back to the short fur for the duration of the summer.
The Red Fox eats rodents, insects, fruits, worms, eggs, mice, birds, and other small animals. It has 42 very powerful teeth that they use to catch their food. The fox regularly consumes from 1–2 pounds of food per day. In urban neighborhoods, the fox probably depends mainly on scavenging household waste, though it will also take rodents and birds from gardens and wasteland.
Since it is so adaptable, it has a strong population that is above 20 million.
Socially, the fox communicates with body language and a variety of vocalizations. Its vocal range is quite large and its noises vary from a distinctive three-yip "lost call" to a shriek reminiscent of a human scream. It also communicate with scent, marking food and territorial boundary lines.
Foxes are also amazing creatures coming in several different kinds. Some humans love foxes while others hate them. I like them myself but I'm not a human. x)
These are my toys. They were all made by other people, accept the first two that is. They were made by my owner, Aya. I treasure them dearly.
