You walk through the darkness, eerily aware of the quiet chirping of crickets in the long-bladed grass field. You begin to regret travelling this way.

Just as you paused in your scurrying, you trip over a large lump of fur. Eyes widening, you start to see the lump of fur rising, unravelling itself. Piercing golden eyes meet your own. They narrow.

More of you, huh? Just as I was drifting off.."

The lump, more visible as a gelert now, shook his head and yawned. "C'mon you..." he muttered with a touch of anoyance in his voice. "Get this over with quick...then I can finally get some peace..

Me, Myself, and I

This probably isn't out of any particular interest to you, but I'm one of the few gelerts whom have been with Nikufei, our human slave thing... our kind, generous owner, from the beginning.

And now, you're thinking up multiple little day dreams about how I got these flames. Perhaps a curse from the almightly guy up there? A disaster gone wrong with the fire paint brush? Some guy beat me up and I suddenly was engulfed by super powered flames to help me?

HAH.

I was Nikufei's little toy. She wanted to keep me a red gelert, but she also wanted to experiment with a paint brush, the little newbie she was back then. And my markings haven't changed since, making me the original outta Nikufei's olden days.

One day, Nikufei dragged me and Speedy along for shopping. (she and I were the only ones with her at the time so we were forced to T_T) Speedy was a blue gelert by then and I, a red gelert. Nikufei got her a striped scarf (which I find horribly tacky, btw) and she got me a two set collar. (the other collar, a cloud charmed one, was given to Hikory eventually)

We always passed by this shop with paintbrushes on display and Nikufei would always spend ten minutes drooling window-shopping over there. IT WAS SO ANNOYING LIKE OMG. So Speedy and I would have to literally drag her away.

One day, the owner of that shop came out with a bunch of golden paint on his apron(?! I know, I was disturbed too) and Nikufei asked what happened. It turned out one of his pteris flew into his paintbrush display and knocked the golden paintbrush into his brand new apron.

Seeing as this guy was extremely rich, he was going to throw away his apron in favour for a new one, but Nikufei, somehow, convinced him to give the apron to her. (I have yet to find out how she did it coz I do not believe at all it was her charm's and wit's doing=__=)

I suppose you can figure out where that golden paint residue went. She really was and still is a crazy Neopian. She ran all the way home where she kept the paint wet in a small jar and begged to paint me so much until my ears were about to fall off, so I said yes. I don't really regret it though, I suppose. She didn't do a horrible job as I thought she would've, though if you ask her now, being slightly more mature, she might respond that being hasty wasn't the best idea.

If anything, I think she feels sorry for me. o__o; For being the victim of her newbie attack. Which explains buying me a random earring, which I terribly adore. Which makes it all worth while in the end.

Fortunately, you'll only read about the few who've actually gotten on my really good side, or BAD SIDE.
