On this page, I shall try to guide you through your Neopets experience by providing the answers or solutions to many commonly asked questions. If there's anything not included which you'd like to see, please neomail jhowell18 with your request.
I usually find that one of the below sources has the answers I need.
To edit your userlookup go to User Preferences
To edit your shop, go to Create/Edit Shop
To edit your petpage, go to Petpage and click edit.
4) Where can I find out the information that I need to complete a Brain Tree quest?
You need to complete two Esophagor quests to obtain the information. It's the only way; the answers are random AND the game is rigged.
Be sure to write down the answers exactly, including capitalization and "The."
You can use the Shop Wizard yourself for the items. There is no penalty for not finishing the Quest, if the items are too expensive (2,000 NPs limit before it stops being worthwhile completing).
5)When does the Rainbow Fountain work?
You need to get a Fountain Faerie quest as a random event (very rare). If you complete it, you will have access to the Rainbow Fountain and may paint one pet any colour you choose (provided it's compatible with the species)

6) I want to have a cool userlookup! Where can I get the codes?
Once again, CSShelp's petpage can be of use for some things here, but if you want a premade lookup, I advise you go to www.google.co.uk (or another search engine) and type in the keywords 'Neopets Premade Userlookup' and a tonne of sites should show up. You can pick the one you like best.
Search engines are also great for finding premade guild layouts and on google, it has an image search option where you can look for images for your Shop Background
7) How do I get LOTS of Neopoints?
Hard work, I'm afraid, unless you're very lucky in the Stock Market, or Fruit Machine or suchlike. The most reliable way is by playing games (soup-faerie.com has lots of game hints). Restocks can also make you a good amount of money but it will take plenty of trial and error before you figure out what's worth buying to sell for a decent profit.
8) I want a spiffy Secret Avatar...how do I get one?
Swidler's Petpage has all the avatars and methods for obtaining them.
9) I want a cool font...who should I ask?
Try looking on mindlessinvalid.com for a DIY guide. Use Bubbles colour charts to choose your font colours.
Though please remember that TNT has disabled the 'glow' on fonts at the moment due to the fact that some users were unable to see fonts with this feature.
10) What's the Lab Ray and is it worth getting?
The Lab Ray is here and in order to access it, you must buy all 9 pieces of Secret Laboratory Map (expensive; about 400k) then go to the ray and submit them all. Then you may go there once a day and zap one of your pets. The ray can change the colour, gender, species, level and statistics of your pet, but these are random and there is no guaruntee you'll end up with the pet of your dreams. It IS fun though.
11) Where do I go to redeem the rare item code I got from Neopets merchandise?
You redeem codes in the Grundo Warehouse.
12) How do I raise my pets level/stats?
Train your pet in the Training School or the Academy. The prices vary for different levels of pets and you will find out on entering what that cost is. There is no way of knowing which codestone(s) you'll need for the training school until you enroll on a course.
Additionally, you can use the Deadly Dice (on which you may gain or lose a level) and coltzan's shrine which may or may not give you a level.
13) What are the names of all the codestones?
The normal ones are Bri, Eo, Har, Lu, Orn, Main, Mau, Tai-Kai, Vo, Zei. and they are used in the mystery island training school as payment for courses there (each time you sign up for a course, they'll ask for a random codestone...there's no way to tell which one you'll need)
The red codestones (used for training very high level pets) are Cui, Kew, Mag, Sho, Vux, Zed.
There IS a way of changing a collection of normal codestones into a red one, and for that, you'll need to go to the Mystery Island Volcano.
14) How do I get Dubloons?
Other than by buying them in users shops, or getting them in random events, you can sometimes get dubloons from Coltzan's Shrine, Buried Treasure and Black Pawkeet Slots (by certain combinations on the game, and randomly; I don't have any hints for this).
15) When is the Snowager asleep?
The Snowager sleeps at 2-3pm, 6-7am and 10-11pm NST. To find out what the NST is and thereby work out what times they'll be in your time zone, click here. The time is in the top right-hand corner.
16) What quests can I do?
There are lots of non-random event quests to choose from. These include Taelias (don't pay over 2,000NP; it's rarely worth it), Ednas (mostly a complete rip off, but on completion you may randomly get the secret avatar), Kitchen Quests (every one of these I've done has been a rip-off), Jhudora's and Illusen's (both will get you a secret avatar at level 20, and a GREAT expensive item at level 35, but are both expensive to get to those levels.)
17) When is the Turmaculus awake?
It's completely random, for 1 hour a day (when he's not been kidnapped by Lord Kass) and generally if you hang around on the chat boards, some kind person will post that he's up and about.
18) How can I get a Limited Edition pet (Koi, Poogle, Tonu, Cybunny etc)
These pets are available to be created from 'create a pet' on occasion. Keep an eye on the boards. Generally some nice person will make a topic letting everyone know they're available to be created.
Otherwise you can make one using a magical toy (when searching the shop wiz for one, remember to put in the colour as well, e.g. 'magical yellow poogle toy'), a morphing potion or a transmogrification potion or check in the Neopian Pound where limited edition pets occasionally get abandoned.
19) How do I get a Krawk?
Buy a krawk petpet, attatch it to your active pet, then go to the Fungus Cave on Krawk Island. The alternative is to buy a morphing/transmogrification potion.
20) How do I get a coconut Jubjub?
By having a jubjub and the labray, and by being lucky when zapping the jubjub
21) How do I get a draik?
Again, try the pound or a potion, or you can get a Draik Egg and go to the Draiks Nest.
22) How do I choose who contacts me?
To block individual users from Neomailing you, go to Neomail and select Block, then type in their username.
To allow only Neofriends to contact you, to block Guild invitations, battledome challenges, Neofriend requestsordisallow gifts from non-Neofriends, go to Site Preferences via the link, or via user preferences.
23) How can I send Neopoints to someone?
You need to get them to put a cheap item in their shop for the amount you want to give them, then buy it, OR get them to put a cheap item in their trades and you can bid on it the amount of NP you want to give them.
24) HELP! My pet is dying and I can't afford the cure!
Do NOT worry! Pets CANNOT die. If you can't afford the medicine for them (to see what cure they'll need go to the Hospital and if you want to try buying the remedy on restocks, hang out in the Pharmacy. The method most people prefer is to use the the Healing Springs, as they are FREE and you can go every half an hour until your pet gets healed.
IMPORTANT: Poisonous jelly gives pets Neomonia (which needs medicinal soap to heal); Poisonous Lollypop gives them bloaty tongue (which requires a tongue shrinker) so please don't feed these to your pets; Rotten Omelette gives them Ugga Ugga (needs Sporkle Syrup).
25) My Pet is miserable! What can I do to cheer it up?
It is important to keep your pets happy, otherwise they might get the dreaded 'Your pet feels blue' random event (turns your pet Blue). To cheer your pet up, play toys with them, or groom them. Many items can be found on the shop wiz, in the Toy Shop, or the Grooming Parlour.
26) Tell me about the Wheel of Monotony
The wheel is in the Tyrannian desert, and you may spin it once every 24 hours. It spins for AGES (reports of up to 6 hours waiting for it to stop.) There IS an icon in the bottom right hand corner you can click to turn the noise off. It's best to spin the wheel, then open up neopets again in another window, leaving the one with the wheel well alone. About halfway through the time, the image will zoom into the wheel, and it will start to slow down. When it eventually stops, you might get something great, or something rubbish, but there's no way to know at this stage. Good luck.
27) How do I attatch a petpetpet?
Make the pet and petpet you want it attatched to your active pets, then refresh your inventory like crazy (use the F5 button to make it easier) There have been reports of people refreshing for over an hour to get their petpetpet to attatch. Keep going and it WILL happen.
28) How do I get to Jellyworld?
In the address bar, after http://www.neopets.com you need to add a / and then the word 'jelly'
29) What do I put into the cooking pot?
www.soup-faerie.com has a list of recipes for the cooking pot.
30)How do I make a text box?
Copy the code below, paste it where you want, and alter the values and colour codes to customise it.
It's an insult for someone who is being an imbecile, usually intentionally, or because they're too dumb to figure things out/listen to others. Often n00bs wind other users up, they ALWAYS make a nuisance of themselves, and ruin the fun for other Neopets users. A n00b must NOT be confused with a newbie, who is merely a new user.

Items for faerie quests, you'll need to ask for help on unless you've got another account you can do a lookup on the wiz with. For the Cheeseroller game, use neoitems.net to look up a list of cheeses.
Go to Neohome main area click on add/create room and click on one of the little squares in the image below. Pop-up instruction boxes will take you from there.
Press prt scrn (at the right hand end of the F buttons) then open Paint and press paste. Then upload the picture to the internet and you can use it as an image on this site. Make sure your image hosting site is compatible with this one.
Music codes can go into your shop description or lookup. The best sites I've found are Use the code below, put in the name of the pet you want to adopt, then paste it into your address bar, and click go. If you are quick enough, it will hopefully work. The Dubloon-O-Matic is a very useful machine which lets you exchange your dubloons for other dubloon coins. HOWEVER it only changes coins upwards (which is why one and two dubloon coins have similar retail value)
SO.... Every Negg in Neopia is worth a certain amount of Negg Tokens (it says how many in the item description when you click it in your inventory). The Neggery is where you can go to save up Negg tokens and then exchange them for a Negg which is worth more tokens.
