All about...ME!

My name is Jemma, but everyone calls me Jemz or Jem. I also didn't need to tell you that, because one would hope that since you're here you already know my name!

My mother was lucky enough to give birth to me on 25th July 1991, making me 19 (nearly 20!) years old. Sadly, it's all downhill from here.

I come from the UK! That's right, I'm another one of those Brits! Contrary to popular belief, we do not all wear bowler hats and monocles, drinking tea all day (though I do love me a good brew!).

I've just finished my 2nd year of university, where I have been studying Musical Theatre. I absolutely love it!

I have a beautiful dog! If I told you the breed (rough collie) you probably wouldn't have a clue. However, if I were to mention a little pup called Lassie... ring any bells?!

My Experience

I have been playing Neopets for roughly 6 years (or so my profile tells me, it's not like I keep a diary of things like this!). I vaguely remember playing from as young as 11 years old, but there's no proof of that so we'll just forget it :P Due to being such an old, old, OLD Neopets player, I have been in many guilds - some successful, some not so much - and have a few tricks up my sleeve!

On the same note, I have been leader/co-owner/council in several successful guilds, which have sadly died, due to other highly-ranked people not being able to commit. Because of this fact, I have lots of experience being in a position of high responsibility, and would use that power to the best of my ability to ensure a fun, friendly guild to be a part of.

I am rather skilled with my digits. And by that, I mean my fingers, not numbers. I have access to photoshop when at home over the holidays, but the rest of year I still have access to GIMP (sadly, paint shop pro doesn't work on my computer anymore -sadface-). I have a few examples below all this confounded text for you to peruse at your leisure :)

My little blonde brain is always learning! I am pretty good at coding petpages, as I used to run a site of premades. However, due to lack of decent software (this was before we got photoshop!) and also time constraints due to silly little things called exams, I had to stop. I used to be good at the whole "coding guild layouts" thing. But apparently my brain's forgotten how to do that :( I would, however, be willing to re-learn, were this be a duty on the off chance I get picked.

I can use imagemaps. This is something I've always found useful in creating petpages and guild layouts.

I have soooo many pets up for adoption, it is unreal! Due to this, I would be happy to run some form of adoption agency page for members to list their pets in and adopt pets from. If this wasn't something the guild wanted to invest in, however, obviously I wouldn't do it! :3

On a similar note, I am completely happy to host/run/update guild pages :)

Obviously, I'm not expecting you to take my word for it when I tell you I can do graphics! Here are some examples, however they are in no particular order. These are mostly old (except the banner!), whereas this page layout is a more accurate representation of my skills. Just drag and drop to the address bar to see them full-size :)

N.B. Though I said I don't really do guild layouts anymore, I found an old one that I made/coded for a guild I was part of ages ago. Again, as neopets coding has recently changed, the background and layout don't quite match up (it took me ages to get it right to start with as well!), so please bear that in mind! If I were required to make a layout, and someone else wanted to code, that would be fiiiine by me :3 I'm not the biggest fan of guild coding, not gonna lie...
