Hello and welcome to my lab diary!. I started this diary in 2005 with just one lab account and have expanded to 5. I take pets from the pound, paint them and return them to the pound to increase the chances of them finding a home! You will find information about pets I've labbed in the past and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the lab and petpet lab. Lab Ray FAQ

Q: Can I adopt a pet?
A:If you find it in the pound then yes. I take pets out to lab and then return them when they are painted to give everyone a fair chance to adopt, not just those on the boards or even those who speak english. I wil, however, I will transfer pets with paintbrush clothes. If you're interested click here to see my pets up for adoption and read about how you can get one.

Q:I really want a spotted gelert, will you neomail me when you get one?
A: Yes and no, I have a partnership with an agency that fills requests, check out the adoption link for more information. good resource for you

Q:Will you lab my pet for me?
A:No. Not only is that against the rules as per the NP Editorial, I also do not want to do it. I lab because I enjoy the randomness which means that I saved and earned the NP to purchase my lab maps and you can do the same.

Q:How often do you get a color change?
A: The lab ray is random, but I would say I see at least color change between all my lab accounts about once a week.

Q: Should I buy a lab map?
A: Depends. Do you want a specific color? If so then you should just purchase a paint brush. If you are open to any color or species then the lab is a great way to paint all of your pets.

Q:How much does the lab cost? Should I buy it piece by piece or all together?
A: Currently, you can expect to pay anywhere between 890k to 1 million np for the entire set. Some pieces are still buyable, while some are worth 200k. You can also find pieces randomly throughout the site. There should be no price difference either way, but sometimes you might be able to work a deal with someone selling the full set. So if you can afford it, buy it all at once.

Q: Is it possible to get a Draik, Kwark, Cybunny, or other LE and restricted pets?
A:You can't get a krawk or Draik from the lab anymore, but LE pets like Cybunnies, Poogles, Lutaris, Kikos, and Chombies are possible

Q:What colors can I not get from the lab? A: Colors the lab cannot give you are: Plushie, Baby, Pirate, Uski, Quigi,Royal.

Q:How do I change my pet's gender back?

A: You can change your pet's gender back by using a strange potion (most expensive) or you can battle the lab scientist in the battledome and he will use an ability that will change your pet's gender.

Q:How can I get better results?
A: You can't. The lab is completely random

Q:Does being a premium member increase the chances of getting a LE or painted pet?
A:No, premium has no influence on the lab ray results.

Q:Whenever I go to lab my pets, they are upest. Does the lab effect their mood?
A:No, it's only a graphic. The lab does not change a pet's mood.

Q:If my pet is happy, does it increase the chances of getting a good zap?
A:No, your pet's mood does not effect lab results.

Q:How much can my pet's stats change in one zap?
A: You pet can gain or lose up to 2 levels (unless you get "your pet's level goes down to zero"), stats can change up to 3 points in either direction, and you pet can gain up to 5 hit points.

Q:Can my pet lose faerie abilities?
A:You pet will not lose any faerie abilities; however, abilities like bezerker can be lost if your pet drops below level 50, but you can get it back by increasing it's level.

Q: Can I paint/morph a labbed pet?
A:Yes, there is no difference between a pet that has been painted by a brush or FFQ and a pet that has been labbed.

Q:Where do you get your lab rats?
A:I normally search the pound for pets that have names with no numbers or underscores in their names. On rare occasions when I have a pet that must be traded to keep it's clothes, I will trade for a well named pet. Please do not ask me about this, I will post on the pound boards when I am seeking

Q:Can my pet change in to a painted color and get a species change in the same zap?
A:No. Whenever you get a species change, the pet's color will always be a basic color. For example: A red usul cannot change into a MSP Poogle in one zap, it would first have to zap into a poogle one day and then (with luck) zap MSP on another day.

Q:I've been trying for a while and I still can't get a MSP poogle, is there a trick to it?
A: I know a few users who have gotten a MSP poogle and despite one lucky person, everyone has had to invest millions into magical poogle toys/mps to change their poogles back after a species change. There is no day, time of day, food, or mood that will help you zap msp; just luck.
