Hello, my name is Eockan, the blue gnorbu (though now Laura has the lab map I'm probably something quite different). Eockan pronounced correctly is a toast to a long and prosperous life.
I am here to help you live out the prosperous part of this n_n
If you are anything like my lazy owner Laura, you cannot restock to save your life (and don't want to practice and get good), you aren't too good at games, and don't understand stocks. You are basically waiting for a fountain faerie quest, or for Dr Sloth to hand you a Draik transmog potion.

Sadly, with that attitude, you're gonna have 359np until you quit.

But, if you read this guide, and follow it, your financial situation will change for the better.

This guide is different from others in the way that most guides are set in a programme that will help you make a certain amount of np in a day.
This guide is about finding out whats right for you, and sticking to it. It's about changing your attitude on making neopoints.
Still keen? I hope so!

The first step you want to do is decide your goal, whether it be to paint your pet rainbow, to get a lab map, or to make 10 million neopoints.

Next, decide the time frame that you are going to earn that in, and how you are going to achieve this.
Lets start off with the basics.

Dailies are great, because all they take is a few clicks and you might get some money/items out of it. The free ones are:

Giant Ommlette
This will give you a piece of ommllete that is worth three feedings for your pet. You might even get a rare kind that is worth LOTS of np!

Island Mystic
This guy will give you an avatar if he says kyrri in his prediction.

Meteor Crash Site
This is a new one, will randomly give away items.

Bank
If you have saved up, you can earn interest.

Deserted Tomb
Can get np and items, but you are at risk of your pet getting hurt in a trap.

Healing Springs
If your pet is sick, go there every 30 min and she will heal your pet for free

Shop of Offers
You will automatically get 50-100np

Snowager
Between times 6-7am, 2-3pm, and 10-11pm NST snowager will be asleep and you can get goodies.

Soup Faerie
If you have under 3k, you can feed your pets here for free

Symol Hole
You need a petpet for this, but once you do you can randomly get prizes and on occassion, the symol avatar.

Turmaculus
Same as symol hole =) only, petpet may get eaten.

Monthly Freebies
Once a month you can get 2k and one food item for each of your pets.

Scarab givaway
This gives you the chance at FREE NC money!

Tombola
You can win np, codestones, and bottled faeries.

Underwater Fishing
At first this is useless, but get your pets fishing level high, and you can fish up items worth millions of np.

Giant Jelly
Free jelly thats worth two servings of food.

Fruit Machine If you get a lucky spin you can win muffins, np, petpets, and even paint brushes.

Lunar Temple
Solve the puzzle, and get a prize =) (guide)

Coltzan's Shrine
Visit every 12 hours, Coltzan may raise your pets stats, give you np, or items.

Wheel of slime
Once every eight hours, grab the oppertunity to win 100-2000np

The thing to remember about dailies is, although they are great, you will not earn np off them. They are just a bonus, that you shouldn't depend on.

Games are a great way to earn np, and don't require any np to start with.
Most guides fall short in this area, because they make assumptions on how much you can earn for certain games. Whenever Laura tried these guides she was not good enough to earn as much as expected, and therefore was fustraited and left without the amount promised to earn.
Personally, I think users should find the games that suit them, rather than click to a list.
I know its easy to assume that after playing one game for 30 seconds you are useless at all games and should never try again, but all it takes is time =)
Here are some tips to getting over the initial troubles:

  • Play a wide variety of games, you may not be good at one, but great at another!
  • Don't give up on a game after one go, give it at least three tries before declaring yourself hopeless. Most games et a bit of getting used to.
  • Read the instructions! and if you favourite the game* see if there is a guide for the game, as these contain 'cheats' and helpful hints.
  • An ideal game is one that you can earn lots of np on, and does not take too long (under 4 minutes per game). Most games are enjoyable, so don't put all bias on that.
  • *If you do find a great game, save it to your favourites, that way you will have all your favourite games in one place as a checklist.
  • Once you have your set favourites, and feel like you have browsed enough games, play the featured game, this changes everyday, and will earn you double np. You might find a game that should be on your favourites that you overlooked!
  • So, what are Laura's favourites?

  • Bouncy Supreme
  • Attack of the Revenge
  • Turmac Roll
  • Whack-A-Kass
  • Fashion Fever
  • Meerca Chase II
  • Crisis Courier
  • Shenkuu Warrior
  • The Search for Princess Lunara
  • Petpet Cannonball

  • All her favourite games are action. There are different catagories that suit different people. You might be good at puzzles, or card games. Make sure you try different catagories to see where your skills lie!
Laura changes her favourites often. She used to play hassee bounce and faerie cloud racers, but these were taken off as they took too long.

Remember that you are playing games to earn neopoints, so quit the second you have earnt enough for 1k to save yourself time.
Games have different ratios of nepoints earned, which makes sense, but can be annoying when 12000 points is worth 24np. So here is a table of ratios to neopoints!
ie. If the ratio is 1.35, you need to earn 741 points to earn 1000np.

Click on me to go to
    the stock market!
Stocks are something that is a lot easier than most people realise. To find it, go to games, then search stock, there you will find the stock market link. Save it to your favourite games for easy access.

Stocks are a long term investment, it could take weeks or months before it pays off, but when it does, you are getting neopoints for doing virtually nothing.

Buy 1000 of a stock thats got a current value of 15np everyday, and keep an eye on them. The value of a stock will go up and down, so sell when the stock has increased by an amount that makes you happy.

I would suggest waiting till a stock has increased by 100%, but thats just me. Some may want to wait longer and get a higher amount, and others may just want a 70% increase. It's all about your patience level.

Easy. A little boring, but easy.
I think the hardest thing about stocks is just the fact that they make it seem like you have less np than you really have. In a way this is a good thing, as having your money invested in stocks means you won't waste it, as you shouldn't be spending neopoints untill you have reached your goal.

Restocking is buying an item and selling it for a profit. This does not mean selling your item for more than it's worth, but buying it at a cheaper price. You can buy through the neopet shops, or the shop wizard.
Restocking is something that is great, because although it takes practise, you can start restocking right away.
This is providing that you have already earnt some neopoints through games, but I trust you've done that.
It pays to read a guide on restocking, I suggest

  • Restocking Guide
  • The wizing hour sniping guide
  • The Restockopedia

  • Restocking is one of the most advanced ways of earning neopoints. It is the most popular way for all the people that you see owning plushie and royal draiks.
But once you get used to it, its rather easy.
The biggest thing to remember about restocking is to keep trying. Soon enough you will be making millions in profits!

So thats all! You are now equipped to go out into Neopia and make some serious neopoints.
Well done for reading this guide, I hope to hear from you. Remember to stick with your plan, and achieve it!
