Story

Emery grew up in a small town right near the ocean. Many boats docked there for food and to rest. The whole town was inhabited by Skeiths. All of different colors and shapes and sizes. And Almost all were related.

When at age the children of the residents would move to another town get married, then eventually move back. It was an odd tradition, but the large family were all very close. Elk's father was the town's fisherman. He showed his only child how to fish, steer a ship (although he never let Emery do this on his own), and many other tricks of the sea.

The tragedy happened around age seven for the lad. A large odd vessel pulled up to their docks. Many men and women with swords and knives flooded into the streets. They pillaged, and killed all who came near them.

Looking back on it Emery has not the faintest idea of how he managed to live. But just as the pirate ship was docking off he ran to it and jumped. Landing near the opening for a cannon and crawled through. Later the night he stole from them and jumped onto a passing by ship.

This was how his life continued, Jumping from ship to ship. He used his wings to glide between them.He went by his initials E-L-K, Elk. He didn't wish to have anyone connect him to the small port town that was destroyed all those years ago. In his life of 'ship hopping' he's been beaten, stabbed, cut and more. Eventually He was forced to retire after his wings were ruined.
Elk now lives on Krawk Island in a dinky little room under an abandon old knick-knack store. he works for a Krawk named Admixes in his sea bar, doing odd jobs such as; a waiter, fishing, moving things and trying new recipes (free food!). Nothing else of importance really happens now. Occasionally he'll try to still hop onto a ship and steal-and obtain a few more injuries-
It's about as normal of a life he'll lead now.

Petpet

Salty the slorg is Elk's beloved companion. He found her in the food supplies at work. He figured he'd just sell her for a bit of cash. Though the slorg oddly loved him, like had raised her since she was little or something like that.
Not only that but not many people really wanted her, in the end he decided to keep her for a companion. Though it took weeks to actually name her. This was done by accidently spilling salt on the poor thing. Even though it did sting, and her own master did this to her, Salty couldn't love Elk any more. She is very faithful to him, and will bite anyone who tries to do him harm.
