Just Let Go...
You are traveling across a large plain when you see the tips of a few pine trees ahead. You instictively walk toward them and soon break into a run because rain is now pouring down from the heavans. You arrive at the pines and notice their colors seem very faded and grey. You realize you have stumbled upon the fabled grey forest. In the myth, there was also supposed to be some kind of guardian that lived in these woods. As you mull over this information, you are oblivious to the fact that someone is leaning over your left shoulder. You see the steam from her breath and immedietly turn on the spot to come nose to nose with a lupess of unrealistic beauty. She just stares at you for a moment then asks " Who the heck are you?" Her voice sounds to be no more than a young adult yet the myth states the being that lives in the forest is eons old! You stutter a reply anf fall silent again. "I'm Eliesta, welcome to my forest. A bit drafty and grey but you'll get used to it." she said. "Come, I'll take you someplace dryer." You follow her until she reaches two pine trees that had leaned inward into each other, creating a small cavern. "I love to watch the rain from in there" she commented as she walked into the cavern. You follow hesitantly. She hands you a bowl of soup and a cup of...rain water. "So, you're probably wondering what I'm doing here, right? Well, I'm sure you've heard of the myth of the Grey Forest and the creature that Guards it. Well, your looking at her. I am an immortal and I've lived here for so long that I can't even remeber what it's like outside these trees. Of course, I can always fly up and survey my surroundings but I'm not to leave. Now, in the fable there are quite a few untrue facts. I can tell you the TRUE version if you like?" You nod your head eagerly and prepare for a long tale...
In a time of mist and fear, shadow and anger, dwelled a small family of lupes and lupesses. They were known as the original RainFlay Clan. They dwelled in a huge, thriving pine forest. Here they were protected from harm. However, there were two lupes called Emiest and Gravar. They were a young couple and carried the hope of the future to keep their clan living. A baby. The emtire clan would protect Emiest with their lives for this baby. Gravar was always at Emiest's side, making sure she was okay. These were hard times, and before long, attackers came. Scavengers looking for food, young, tender food. At this time, Emiest was ready to have her baby and everyone was oblivious to the fact there was an attack coming. The baby came, a glorious baby lupess with startling crystal eyes. They named her Eliesta. Then came the attackers. They arrived in great numbers, killing all who tried to stand in their way. They had a mage as well who bagan to burn the sacred trees. This greatly angered Gravar who lunged at the mage, only to be struck down by the fire that came from it's hands. Emiest watched as her husband fell and gave a terrible, throat ripping howl. She lunged at the nearest figure, killing it instantly. But not before the mage came over to her and felled her with a single stoke. However, he was deceived for after they left, with the forest still burning, Emiest moved. She crawled painfully over to her daughter who was silently watching, her tiny wings still limp and unuseable. "My dearest daughter" Emiest bagan, barely whispering "It is now your duty to avenge the killers of your father and protect these forests. Please forgive us. In out foolishness, we cost you a normal childhood. Goodbye, my little Eliesta." With that she faded. After her last words were spoken, a strange thing happened. Lights from the entire pack rose up in little balls and gathered to Eliesta. They seeped into her little body giving her the immortal life and understanding of a spirit of nature. She became a rain spirit, also known as the Grey Vixen. She was half wolf, half vixen, and half rain spirit from then on. As this happened, the earth swallowed up the dead pack and rain clouds began to gather. It rained for hours until the fire was put out. But it kept raining, and the remaining trees all became dull and grey. The rain never stopped and little Eliesta grew, training herself to fight, fly, hide, and even to move the trees and rain at her bidding. It was a lonely life and where the trees burned so many years ago, came a meadow. Beuatiful and gold against the Grey Forest. Many travellers who came to the Grey Forest saw tiny glimpses of Eliesta as she darted through the trees. Very rarely did she talk to anyone, so myths bagan to form about her. They were all wrong. This was the beginning of Eliesta and the Grey Forest...

is a lupess who lives by an oasis with an Orchid tree by it. She says the tree is sacred so I take her word for it. She has a rather interesting ability to grow wings made of Stardust at night.

is an under-water lupess with a love for the sea. She rather shy so don't expect to spot her at first unless you can sneak up on her...and trust me, you don't want to do that.
Ciara
