DO NOT redistribute these in any way. Even if you put anything on this page on your graphics site and give me permission. That is NOT TOLERATED. These petpage codes/graphics can on be distributed on this page by me and no where else.

DO NOT steal my layouts or graphics. All graphics must link back here or have a little note that says where they came from. Do not claim these as your own or leave the credit off. Putting the credit on and not linking back also counts as stealing.

Weekly Events

Here at Achromatic we have weekly events! All events last all afternoon. So right as you come online feel free to participate in any event up until midnight that day.

Mondays;; The beginning of the week. There are no special events this day.

Tuesdays;; Tuesdays are author chat days. On Tuesdays all the writers of Achromatic are showcased. Here, they chat about their upcoming stories, and current stories or poems they're working on. The "authors" can also receive feedback, answer questions, and talk about what inspires them and how they get past their writers block and such.

Wednesdays;; Wednesdays are unique technique spotlights. Have a strange artistic talent? Such as doll making, bookbinding, comic book writing... or anything else? Well tonight is your night to shine. Feel free to get feedback on your work, talk about inspirations, and become famous yourself.

Thursdays;; Thursdays are visual art spotlight days. Its like a visit to the art gallery. Post your work on one of your pages, and then post the link. Get feedback, give feed back, tell what inspires you, what techniques you have, favorite medium and everything!

Fridays;; Fridays are Food Fight Fridays! On Fridays the guild board will be filled with mushed tomatoes, pies, cakes, pudding, and random bits of goo. Feel free to throw foods at each other. But make sure they aren't rotten and don't aim for the face!

There can be side conversations along side of this. It doesn't all have to be about the events. Its just posting guidelines and sets aside a time for us to critique and chat. Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays have no special events. In case you didn't notice.

How Icons Work

Oh what pretty icons! Well, how do you get one? There aren't text boxes under it. Well, to keep space and storage down you're going to have to have a little knowledge of urls. To use an icon right click on the icon then click properties, or copy image location, or copy image url... you'll find the url and then paste that code in the area where it says URL HERE. These MUST link back here, or if they don't say "Icon by Effervescence" and link back. These CANNOT be redistributed in any way. Cool? Yes.

How Mood Indicators Work

Mood Indicators are these nifty little images made so that you can easily change it to tell people what mood you're in. Changing the mood to happy, sad, angry, or sick doesn't take too much skill. In the url at the very end you will see either happy, sad, angry or sick in capital letters. To change the mood you change the emotion to what you want it to be. So if you want your mood to be sad and it says 'HAPPY' change the happy part to sad. And make sure its in all capital letters. Not sad but SAD.

Q: Can I request a layout?
A: No. I don't take layout requests... EVER. And that's nothing personal, I just don't feel I am good at meeting standards of what you envision or somesuch. But you can suggest a layout and it might show up here at some point.

Q: Can I request a graphic?
A: No. I don't take graphic requests either... EVER. And that's nothing personal, I just don't feel I am good at meeting standards of what you envision or somesuch. But you can suggest a graphic and it might show up here at some point. But no customs sorry.

Q: How did you learn to code?
A: Lots of practice and experimenting. Start with the basics of html/css and try putting it together. Studying premades helps too. Not to copy but to see how its put together and then try your hand at your own.

Q: Can you teach me to code?
A: No, I can't. I'm sorry. But I would love to answer any questions you have. Just not give you a code by code guide.

About Effervescence

Effervescence is the CSS (with a little graphics!) site created by Draven and officially opened on October 17, 2010. After many failed attempts at graphics sites and getting a whole lot better with her css, Draven decided to make a brand new site with a cool name too. Neat right?
