The wind whispers. Softly, secretly, sorrowfully. As you bask in the cold light sifting through the ancient trees you wonder how you came to this silent place, and what tragedies have befallen this quiet land.

A short walk leads you to a still pool of gleaming cool water. It is lined with pale stones, cracked and broken. Wind shakes the long reeds and grasses that serve as a natural border to the edge of the pool. Only then do you notice the solemn statue; a wonderfully scultped angel, tears of sacrifice, and blade of undying justice. Though it is in disrepair, the shadows seem to highlight wispy energy in its cracks and fissures. A sentinel, and its forgotten dominion.

And through the tall grass comes a figure; a dragon. He is magnificent, with scales the faded blue of the deepest oceans and eyes of azure radiance. He exudes a sadness, ancient and powerful. He casts a long glance at the holy spring, until his eyes come to rest upon you. You feel no hostility, only respect.

Come, traveler" he sighs in a low, weary voice. "If you have found this place, then you have lost your way...Let me lead you back.

Intrigued by this powerful draik you eagerly ask "Who are you?" The draik smiles as he starts walking, "Would you like to hear my story on the way?

Chapter 1
Coming Soon. Shannon only has the old story...

Old Story
Well, Im in thoery, an eyrie, born into a clan of my kind in a field by a giant forest. As a young one, i always loved physical challenges, i would run through the forest and climb the hills in the east...My brother, a year older, loathed me for it, he hated his family and all of his clan. He wanted freedom and superiority, but because of his negative attitude, he was watched closely and confined within the village.

At the age of 15, i was considered old enough to hunt. Though i had to be wary becuase i could not fly yet. Even with my limited abilities i excelled. I hunted the forest for 3 days and nights. I retuned with a feastful of food, to find my village surrounded by a dark cloud with smoke billowing from below! People were screaming and running from something in the center of the town. I quickly walked to the center to find my mother and father bleeding and torn, I knew they were close to death and a single tear flowed from my cheek.

Who would do something like this? As soon as those words had left my mouth I heard a maddening laugh. Spinning around I saw a fleshless demon with spiked massive bones, fresh blood dripping from its claws and teeth. And as I looked in its eyes, I saw a flicker of hate, and I knew just who had done such a thing. The demon was my brother….

He lunged at me, holding back nothing. I felt his serrated fangs slice through my back. I screamed out in pain and slashed his face, though he was not harmed. I broke off into a run. The clouds seemed to burst open as rained fill the sky, wiping the blood from my wounds. I ran past everyone, not in fear, but betrayal. The landscape was a bloody blur of colors. I did not know where I was heading until I found myself on the top of a valley mountain cliff.

My vision passed before my eyes as I kept going. Shadowblade effortlessly ran behind me and as he got closer I felt his hot stagnant breath on my neck and I felt weak. Cornered on the rocky cliff, I did the only thing I could to rid myself of my evil brother. I jumped, I was beyond committed.

I remember the endless fall, time seemed to slow as my wings unfurled. They slowed my fall but not by much. Shadowblade roared loudly, asserting his victory. As the jagged rocks apon the bottom of the chasm loomed into view I decided I would not make it. Then suddenly an invincible rush of strength surged through me and I took control of my flight.

I spread my wings and flew away into the night. Never to return, or so I thought. My exodus carried me into the ancient forests to the east. I was surprised to find I was a fair flyer. Just as I was getting the hang of it, my back seared with pain and I plunged with the rain, from the skies, into the forest below. I remember the excruciating pain just as I slipped from the conscious world.

The next few minutes were like a long forgotten dream. I remember waking in the forest. Blood poured from my back as I forced myself to get up. I was on a stone alter with a statue of a crying angel. Sensing the solemness of the place as well as my own hopelessness, tears flooded from my eyes and soaked into the creases of the angel.

A brilliant light emancinated from the statue and engulfed my entire body. I heard a heavenly voice in my mind.

Do not lose hope surviver, Your time will come. One day you shall destroy the shadow. Arise anf fight the shadow!" At that moment I felt my wound heal, as well as my body being altered. My wings widened and I felt a thin membrane encase my feathers. My snout elongated and my beak disappeared. My feathers shaped into scales.

The light disappeared and I was left on the alter floor to ponder what had just happened. I suddenly felt tired and drifted off to sleep. It was still raining when I awoke. I felt refreshed and I leaped into the air, eager to try out my new wings. I glided casually through the air, and landed on the forsaken ledge I had jumped off. As I walked down the cliff it felt like ages had passed.

I saw faint spots of dried blood and followed them to the village, as well as abnormal footprints. The place was in shambles. I found the dead clutching their prized possessions as they had been slain while attempting to leave. The ground was littered with blood and debris.

There was no evidence of a previous inhabitance, as if the killer was a shadow. I came apon the center of town and fell to my kness as my fathers corpse. Around his neck he wore a simple black band, 7 pointed spikes hooked out from the fabric. I carefully untied it from his neck and placed it on my own. An angry hate filled my veins as I stood up.

I vowed to find the betrayer responsible for this, and restore what peace was left to find. I would fight the Shadow!

What did i do next? I trained day and night, everyday for three years. My adventures, my epieriences? you want to know what happaned after? Well, that is part of another story.

My Family

Shannon: My master, owner, mentor, whatever you humans call them. She adopted me as a neopet so we could train together. You wouldnt believe how many times she's saved my life, or mine hers. The adventures we have had are endless. I've never left her side since.
Shukiri: Great guy, a genetic experiment with a hard past, but dont we all have things that we regret in our lives? Overall, he's a carefree guy that has a sarcastic personality.
Kirazuki: A very silent brooding young eyrie. She knows a lot about the dark arts and helps me train with her illusionistic powers. A great person to talk to, youll find her personality very different.
Seftii:The so called king of the lost desert. Or so he says. Kicked out by coltzan for becoming corrupt with power, he spends his days plotting and scheming. Vain and intellegent, but a bit on the cruel side.
Spurn: He's complicated. Tasked with being the guardian of a souless, desolate land, he always seems so lonely and depressed. We get along well considering our similar personalities.

Friends

Zimby19Zimby: A fair friend, we met through our owners, we both fight the evil creatures of the night. Zimby's a samarai of a forest! A pretty cool guy!

SiriusNoir2
Sei: A true friend, while trainign with shannon, Sei and Rei joined us on an unsuspecting adventure where we met up with some wierd weather and my brother shadowblade. In a fierce battle we temporarily sealed him away. Thanks for your help!
