We've exceeded the character limit for coding on the guild, so we're using Poke Alerts to save some coding space. This will get the message out without taking up to much space. Most alerts will have more inf about them here on the webbie in the notices. So always check the webbie when you see a new Poke Alert up.The Signs

The Rules
Almost every guild has rules and we are no exception. These rules must be followed! If any of these rules are broken, you will be punished!! Suspension and banishment from the guild are among those punishments.The rules are separated by category.
General Rules

001: Follow all Neopets rules.
002: Be nice to everyone. We will not tolerate fighting in the guild. 003: Please stay active. If you are leaving the guild for a few days, post on the guild board, neomail a council member, and mark the dates you are leaving and will be returning on the guild calendar. 004: No contests or competitions will have prizes, whether they are NP or items. It is against Neopets rules! All competitions and contests are prize-free! 005: No newbie packs, birthday giveaways, or giveaways of any sort. These too are against Neopets rules. 006: Any member who is inactive for a month will receive a notice. After receiving the notice, the member in question must either become more active, offer an explanation, or (if they choose) leave the guild. If no good excuse is given, they will be deleted. |

If your font face is too small for anyone to read, please change it. If the color of your neoHTML(not your siggy) clash with the current layout, please change it to something legible. |

001: Only neomail a Council/Sub Council member if it's important. For example, if we miss something on the guild board that's important, neomail us.
002: DO NOT spam our inboxes! Some of us run sites and receive requests and messages regarding them. Application
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE APPLYING!So, as I said before, our guild is private. An application is required in order to join. The application must be done on a petpage. The link to the application will be neomailed to me, DarkenedSoul91. I will then send it to all the other Council members. Together, the Council members will decide if you can join Scarlet Memories or not. Note that it might take a while for us to give you an answer. We are all busy people and have live of our own.
Why are we so picky about our members?
We've learned from past experience that if we do not "handpick" our members carefully, we tend to have dead weight or rule breakers in our guild. We do not tolerate inactive members or rule breakers. We want to make sure that our members can follow our rules and stay active.Do it right!

Our Mascot!
Meet our wonderful mascot, Mr. Desk. Mr. Desk is our most beloved member because he lets us bang our heads on him! XD Mr. Desk has always been there for us in frustrating times and in times of utmost stupidity. Mr. Desk is also the core of most of our random conversations. Made of sturdy wood, Mr. Desk can endure many "headdesks", as we like to call them, and not suffer from an injury. We, on the other hand, have suffered from many head injuries. We love Mr. Desk with all our hearts and would die if anything were to happen to him.

Member Immunity
So you're probably wondering what "Immunity" is, right? Well it's kind of like the loyal user perks Neo has. The longer you stay in SM, the more you can do. And it also means that members with immunity cannot be kicked out of the guild. These members have proven their love for the guild and have deserved a permanent spot in our happy little home. To obtain immunity you must stay in the guild for at least a year or have earned Tina's trust. However, if a member with immunity were to do something terrible enough to tick Tina off, they would be kicked out regardless.There are several things members with immunity can do that other members cannot. More things will be added to the list as new opportunities open up.
Join the guild on side accounts, but they must be active.
Negotiate with Tina if she's being difficult and/or stubborn.
Freely add new events/activities to the guild provided they can host and maintain them. This means you don't have to ask Tina if you can do it unless you want to ask her.
Invite a friend to join the guild, no app required though they must be 13 or older. This is limited to once a month and will not count towards your number of recruited members.
Trade SM Avatars with other immune members.
Choose the SMC Room Spotlight winner and make the award. You can do this anytime you want. Just make sure you Neomail Tina or another council member so they can make the announcement on the homepage.
Steal ten points from another club's total and it to your club's total. You can only do this once every other month.
Guild Ranks

Members of this rank have proven their love of the guild by staying here long enough to obtain it. To obtain this rank, you must do the following:

002: You must have at least 400 non-spam posts on the guild board. 003: You must earn 300 Sparkle War points. 004: You must have a guild banner on your lookup, shop, gallery, ect. 005: You must contribute to the guild by either submitting graphics, guides, or come up with and run new activities. |
Shadow
Members of this rank are expected to know how things work in the guild. To obtain this rank, you must do the following:

Wanderers are the new members of the guild. To level up and become a Memory, each new member has one week(starting from the day they join) to do the following.

Council Positions
The Council is what keeps a guild running smoothly and SM's council is no different. A dedicated, select group of SM's members are responsible for keeping SM in tiptop shape.Ever wanted to be on council? Well here you can see just what positions are open and what they entail. Jobs can be added if a council member's talent exceeds their position. Some jobs are not listed as some council members take on responsibilities of their own, which is highly encouraged! Council members should be able to see what needs to be taken care of and have the ability to deal with it immediately.

Sub Council
Members of the Sub Council play an important role in the guild. Sub Council help the Council members run the guild. Sub Council members can be called on by any of the Council members at any time. Sub Council also hold authority on the guild and that authority should be respected.
Here you can learn the jobs the sub council does. If you would like to apply for a sub council position, fill out the application for the position you want post it on a petpage, no fancy layout required. Please try to elabortate. Job Description: Makes sure everything in the guild gets done on time. The manager can send guild mail to the entire guild to send out reminders. The manager can also send out individual neomails. The manager must keep me(Tina) informed of the progress of all projects in the guild.

Job Description: Reviews and edits all text on guild pages, including the home page. The editor must review all guild pages for errors in grammar/spelling. The editor can neomail the person in charge of any page in need of editing with the corrections that should be made. The editor can edit the guild homepage at any time if they find an error.

Sub Council Member 3 - Board Monitor

Job Description: Monitors the guild board. Makes sure all members do not spam and deletes inappropriate/unnecessary posts. The board monitor can issue warnings to anyone they see breaking the rules of the guild board.

Make The Advertisement Personal: Some people don't like to see list advertisements. It's not very welcoming. Try writing one directed towards the person you're trying to recruit. Remember to use their name.
Read Their Rules: Most people have rules on their boards. You must read the first post! Not everyone wants an anime guild. And if you post in a board that doesn't want an anime guild, you'll only end up annoying that person. Answer Their Questions: If you offer to answer their questions, stick around and answer them! Don't just say that and leave the board. If you have to leave, simply tell them to neomail you if they have any questions. Where To Post List Advertisements: Post any list advertisement in a Scarlet Memories board you or another member creates. Bump the board with that every now and then. Unless someone asks for a list, do not post it any other board. Creating A Scarlet Memories Board: If you're going to create a board for the guild, make sure to talk about the guild, even if no one's there. It will bump the board while you're telling Neopia about everything we have to offer. |

Mini Plots
Just like Neopets has their elaborate plots, SM does too! But they aren't as drawn out as Neo's. xD Instead, they are fun, short events that are easy enough for anyone to complete. Inspired by Cat's Room 13 on Halloween 2010, Mini Plots will now be a permanent part of SM.|

What are Mini Plots?
Like stated before, mini plots are easy to complete events. Though most are probably going to be very lengthy and will require a lot of reading to complete. They will be hosted by a council member on one of their spare petpages. For now, only the council are allowed to create these. In the future, sub council and normal members might be allowed to create their own mini plots.When do they take place?
Mini plots will happen on major, or not so major, holidays. Just depends on when inspiration hits. But most of the time these things are planned months in advance as it takes a lot of time, effort and coding to complete them. Not to mention all the revising that has to be done.Do we get prizes?
Material prizes, such as NP or items, are not given out as it is against both SM and Neopets rules. But graphic awards will be given out for your hard work.Planning a Mini Plot
If you are on council and you want to create a mini plot, please notify Tina in advance. You must tell her what holiday you plan to do it, how long it will run, and from what days it will run. The actual plot doesn't matter at that point. This is just to see if that holiday is available. It's best to reserve the days months in advance, that will give you enough time to work on the page.Our History
Founded on July 17, 2008We are a Anime/Manga/Japanese culture guild. We do not focus only on anime, manga, and all things Japanese. We also converse about video games, music, clothes, books, you name it! We are very diverse when it comes to conversation. The only reason we focus on anime, manga, and Japanese culture is because it is one of the many things we all have in common.
Now, I know what you're thinking, "Oh it's just another anime guild." Well, think about it. How many anime guilds are out there? Answer, a lot. How many are active? Answer, some. How many have you seen on the Guild Boards? Answer, not many. Anime guilds used to be highly popular a few years ago. There were tons of anime fans looking for a good guild to join. But now, there are only a few. Where did they all go? We don't know. Some think they died. Some think they left for other sites. Some think they only come out at night. Well, whatever the case, the ones that are still here are important to us! It's hard recruiting new members when you have to compete with Scribble guilds, NR guilds, Twilight guilds, and Role Play guilds. So if you are an anime fan, please consider our guild.
Before Scarlet Memories even existed, some of it's members belonged to another anime guild. Our old guild, which will remain nameless, was great! Until our leader left us for over a month. She was the only one with admin powers, none of the council had any. Nothing could be done! After a while, we got sick of waiting and started Scarlet Memories. Since then, we've lost some of our original members, but have gained several new ones!
We are a very active guild. We love to chat!! If you leave for one hour, your post will be buried!! Many of us have left for the night and returned the next day to find that our last post was pushed back several pages!
Scarlet Memories is a place to make new friends, chat, and have a good time. We would love to have you as a member and as a friend! ^_^
