Welcome guest to Dame's Mop 'n' Bop help page.
PLAY NOW!!
Jester seems to get hypnotized by this game. *looks at Jester strangely* So, I
decided to put up this page to help those who have a more normal response to it.
This is no time to be squimish --- those petpets are D I R T Y! They need to be
cleaned up so they will look their best while they tour the Hall of Heroes. So,
grab your mop and bucket and let's get them cleaned up!
The object of the game is to get all the dirt off the petpets by bopping them with
your mop or tossing water from your bucket on them. Different petpets require
harder hits to get clean. And sometimes, they drop coins that help you out. To bop
the petpets, you have to charge your power meter by pressing and holding your left
mouse button. To bop just release it. If your power meter is full, you will swing
your mop in a mighty arch that will really clean those petpets. Just keep reading
for more detailed strategy.
You need to keep your cursor about an inch in front of you. When a petpet is
directly beneath it, release your mouse button. This will allow you to bop the
petpet in the optimal place. Once you release your mouse button be sure to
immediately press it down again to start refilling your power meter.
You should upgrade your mop and handle as the upgrades become available. You get 4
upgrades total. The first is at the beginning of Lap 2. The second is at the
beginning of Lap 3. The third is at the beginning of Lap 4. The final one is at
the beginning of Lap 5. Upgrade head, handle, head, handle to keep your mop as
balanced as possible between strength and cleaning area.
Always use the fastest mophead and handle. The rate that you can bop the petpets
becomes critical later on. In the first 5 Laps, you can experiment but after that
you really need the fastest head and handle. The smaller faster mop head will
leave some dirt behind occassionally but the gold coins will help you keep this
under control.
Hope for lots of the feather, sun, gold and plain coins. The plain coins add 50
point to your score. The feathers make you go faster and recover faster, and sun
coins increase your strength when you bop the pets. The gold coins increase the
cleaning area of your mop head.
You can hit the same petpets twice to get them completely clean if one bop isn't
enough. How do you double bop? Well immediately when your mop comes to rest after
your first bop, release and press your mouse button again. Simple enough? You have
to watch when you get later into the game because the petpets come in big bunches.
When this happens, you can bop more than one petpet at once if you time it right.
Keep an eye on your Dirt Meter. You really want to keep under half full. When you
need to clean up your dirt meter a bit throw your water when there are several
minitheus and you have a feather so you can have them clean and just walk through
them without bopping them. This allows you to move more quickly to the previously
missed dirt and clean it up.
One final thing, if you are going to try for a trophy, patience is very important.
It took Jester over 3 or 4 hours (it is quite possible it was longer because he
lost track of time) to get his high score. Who knew he had that much patience. If
you need to take a break for some reason, you can click on the upgrade menu to
pause your game. I hope you find this guide helpful in your efforts to improve
your Mop 'n' Bop score.

Ohh!! Lookie!! Shiny things.
In the image above the first coin is the gold coin. It increases the cleaning area
of the mophead allowing you to leave less dirt behind when you are using the
smaller faster mophead.
The second coin is the feather coin. It increases your movement speed and also the
recovery rate of you power meter. It will allow you cover ground quickly.
The third coin is the sun coin. It will increase the strength of your bop by 5
points. Which means when using the fastest mophead and handle you can bop those
pesky petpets with a strength of 30. Cool huh?
The fouth coin is the plain coin. It will add 50 points to your score. That's
enough points to make you wish every coin was a plain coin.

Ok, first off it takes 3 water drops to fill your bucket completely. This does not
mean you must wait until it is filled to throw your water. You must just be
selective when you throw it. One drop of water will clean with 7 strength points.
That is enough to clean the Minitheus but nothing else. Two drops of water will
clean with a strength of 14 which is enough to clean both Minitheus and Altachuck.
Finally a full bucket will clean with a strength of 20 and is enough to clean the
Minitheus, Altachuck, and the Alabriss completely. You can see why you must choose
carefully when to throw your water. I highly recommend you save your water until
you have a group of petpets that will be cleaned completely and also that you have
a feather before throwing.
To throw your water, click the bucket at the top between the power meter and the
mop upgrades menu.

For those who either don't like or have trouble with moving the mouse around, you
can use the shift key to open and close the upgrade menu. And the Space Bar to
throw your water. -- Thank you jenna_j_one.
To speed up the game, you can set the game size to small and the game quality to low or medium. WARNING on low you cannot see your score but you can on medium. -- Thank you menoke.
If you have a feather and can double bop with a full swing on the same petpet you will get extra points. So, if you have the chance in the early laps I recommend you do it. -- Thank you menoke.
As an alternative to holding your mouse button down, double click after the first petpet and the power meter will refill itself. Then when the next petpet comes along just double click again. -- Thank you kawaiiiyen.

Well, I'm 42524 hours old. I would tell you what that means in days but Neopets
is funny and doesn't give that option. I read some, and train some but I don't
battle. I just train to keep fit for my flights. Mostly I just like to fly around
Neopia and explore. I discovered this game recently and hey, my owner turned out
to be good at it. Who knew he was that good at anything but Codebreaker. Ahem.
Well, I suppose if you have any questions, tips or anything, you can neomail
coconutdreams147.
I suppose if you want to link to me you can. Here is a small banner.
