Welcome to the activities page! Here there are competitions for you to enter, games to play and events for you to take part in. Taking part in activities and events helps you to earn points that let you progress up the ranks and earn other rewards. Don't forget that there are activities on our other pages as well!

If you wish to enter any of these activities, please neomail creative_therapy with your entry, or a link to a petpage containing your entry. You can also mail me any ideas you may have for activities.

Monday 19th Sept is International Talk Like a Pirate Day! You may have noticed that TNT has a bit of fun this day, making things you post on the boards automatically come out in pirate speak. This handy guide will explain more about the neopets event. To celebrate we are holding our own pirate-themed activities that you can start entering from Sat 17th Sept and which close at midnight on Sun 25th Sept. Please send all entries to creative_therapy. Treasure Hunt

Look around the guild pages and member's userlookups and sites to discover clues that will lead you to the treasure chest, where you will be able to pick a prize! If you do find the treasure chest please keep the location to yourself so you don't spoil the fun for everyone else, though.

Pet Fancy Dress Competition

Dress up your neopet as a salty seadog, buckanneer or wench and take a screenshot. Send it in for your chance to win a cool badge and some 20 guild points!

Pirate Art Competition

For this contest you must make or draw a piece of art using any medium you like, as long as it has a piratey theme. All entries will recieve 20 points but the winner gets an extra 20 points and a nifty badge.

Pirate Writing Competition

Do you have a watery tale to tell about the seven seas? Or perhaps you fancy yourself as a pirate poet? Maybe you even want to write an informative article about pirates and their culture. Whatever your preference, send in your writing to earn 20 points for each piece. The best piece will win an additional 20 points and a badge for their lookup.

Halloween is on the 31st October. It is the time when the boundaries between dimensions are torn apart and ghosts, demons, vampires and evil spirits run amock! To celebrate this terrifying occasion we have a number of scary activities for you to take part in. Please send all your entries to Phoenix (creative_therapy).

Make Your Own Jack O'Lanern

For this activity you have to send in a jack o'lantern. It can be a hand drawing, a piece of digital artwork or a photograph of a pumkin that you have carved yourself. Each one gets 20 points, and the best one gets 30.

Do you think you could tell a story so terrifying that it made the hairs on the back of Phoenix's neck stand up? Then send in your spooky story. Each one wins 20 points and the best one gets 30.

Campfire Tales

Gather on the guild board to join in with telling scary stories and jokes and talking about wacky costumes.

Trick or Treat?

Neomail Phoenix asking 'trick or treat?' and she will either give you something good like guild points or an item, or something rather less pleasant! Do you dare to find out?

Pet Fancy Dress

Dress up your neopet in a scary outfit like a vampire or ghost costume. You don't have to buy the outfit, you could just try the items on at the NC mall and take a screenshot of how your pet looks with them on. Send in your screenshot or link to your pet's lookup and you will win 20 points. The best one will win 30.

Apple Bobbing

Each apple in this bowl is worth a different number of guild points. Neomail Phoenix to pick an apple and see how much you will win. But beware- there are 3 rotten apples in the bowl that will take away 10 points from you! So choose carefully. Maximum of 3 goes per person.

The results from last month's guild prom are now in! I'd like to thank everyone who entered the competitions or helped out with running and advertising the prom activities. There were some fantastic entries this year so the competitions were really hard to judge, but I've done my best. Here goes....

Prom Queen

We asked guild members to vote for someone who had contributed a lot to the guild, is a good friend to everyone in the guild, is active and is admired for their artistic talent. The person who got the most votes and is therfore crowned CT Prom Queen 2011 is......*drumroll*....

• I would like to nominate Chelsea because she is sweet, talented, helpful, and very active in the guild.

Your brief for this activity is to create a piece of digital or traditional artwork, a craft piece, photography or a poem or story that is inspired by a song lyric.

Who am I?

Whose perspective is the following piece of writing written from? Guess the name of the object, place or person it's about to win 10 points.
I am drawn every night, but there's not a single picture of me. By night I stare out at the stars, but I rarely see the sun. I'm pulled apart almost every day but I remain intact.

Calligrams

Pirate Day-Sept 19th

Today is National Talk-like-a-pirate Day, so join us on the guild board for lots of swashuckling fun including a treasure hunt, pet fancy dress competition, pirate art and writing competitions and name the pirate song/character competitions as well as playing neopets pirate related games and trying to beat each other's scores.

Halloween- Oct

At Halloween the boundaries between dimensions are torn apart and ghosts, demons, vampires and evil spirits run amock! To celebrate this terrifying occasion we have a number of activities including make your own pumpkin, spooky story competition, trick or treat (neomail Phoenix saying trick or treat and she will either give you something good like guild points, or something rather less pleasant!). There is also a pet fancy dress competition and apple bobbing.

Bonfire Night- 5th Nov

Come to the guild board to toast marshamallows around a cosy bonfire. Decorate a picture of a starry night sky with your own firework design made on paint or photoshop and when we have enough we will put them all together to make our very own firework display! There are also a bonfire night art and writing competitions, name songs to do with fire competition and Guy Fawkes fact file.

Yule Ball- Dec

Our Yule Ball is an elegant formal ball celebrating Christmas/the holiday season. Activities include decorating the hall, best dressed pet, formal outfit design, seasonal story competion, menu design, design a Christmas card, pick the music, and decorate the Christmas tree.

Valentines Day-14th Feb

Lots of loved-up activities including romantic writing and art competitions, best dressed pet, design a date outfit and design a valentine's day card.

Pancake Day-24th Feb

Today you have to design your own pancake using the a template and the best one wins 30 points. There is also a pancake poetry competition.

St.Patrick's Day-17th March

Irish related activities including a story competition where you have to use the words shamrock, rainbow, freen, gold and lepracaun and an Irish art competition.

April Fool's Day-1st April

Send in stories about pranks you have pulled on other people and they will be put up here, earning you 20 points. If you can successfully fool Phoenix today you will win 50 points. Oh and keep your eyes open for pranks that will be scattered around the guild- don't believe everything you read!

Easter Celebration-April

Join us for eggciting activities such as an Easter egg hunt, easter egg decorating, easter bonnet making, pet fancy dress competition and easter poem competion and enjoy our Easter themed layout.

Funfair-May

May is when the Funfair comes to town at CT! Enjoy activities such as guess the number of sweets in the jar, pop the balloons, fairground music, carousel decorating, pick 'n' mix, rollercoaster and ghost train.

Guild Birthday Prom-July

To celebrate our guild's birthday we have a guild prom. A fancy new layout goes up and there are many activities including best dressed pet, cake decorating, prom outfit design, prom writing and art competitions, decorate the hall, pick the music and menu design. We also vote for the prom king and queen, who win special awards.

Beach Party-August

Join us as we party on the beach all month long with a seaside layout and creative activities that make the most of the sun, sea and sand.

On Mondays we have a mega advertising push. Everyone who bumps up the recruitment board (linked to on the homepage) will earn 10 guild points, and for Mondays only, for every member you recruit you earn double points! Yep, that's 40 points for anyone you persuade to send an application form to Phoenix or Chelsea.

At the end of Monday neomail Phoenix with the total number of members you recruited and the one who recruits the most will recieve a reward. This is also a great way to earn your recruitor's badge.

Remember to look on the Recruit link on the guild homepage to see if there is already a board up before starting your own.

Don't forget when advertising to direct potential members to this page rather than the guild homepage as they can't see it while we are private. Go here for more advertising tips and resources.

Join us on the board to talk about fun and interesting facts. Take or draw picture of an interesting item you found or own or something unusual that you did or found out about at the weekend and tell us all about it. The most interesting or fun contributions could earn some guild points and a show can tell sticker. Simply post your entry on the guild board or neomail it to Phoenix.

Why are we fundraising?

Let's face it, our guild is not centered around trying to earn neopoints and we do not demand or expect donations from members. But if we can save up some NP through auctions, trades and our guild shop then eventually we can afford to advertise Creative Therapy on the guild noticeboard, buy the lap map and paint brushes and make an adoption agency or buy avatar items and create an avatar lending page.

Join us on the board to try out your pie flinging skills and dodge any rotten, mouldy food that's thrown your way. Don't forget to take screenies of all the fun and mail them to Phoenix!

Pick a food, the grosser the better, a hiding place and a person to throw it at and be creative. You could say something like "The pie misses me and accidentally smacks Chelsea in the face!", If you want to, you can send each other items of gross food. There's no point to this whatsoever but it is good fun!

Bring your fluffy pjamas, careworn teddy and a sleeping bag to the boards on a Sunday for our virtual sleepover. It gives us a chance to catch up on the gossip, share our stories and secrets, indulge in popcorn and paint our toenails. We will also be playing plenty of games to earn guild points.

Games

• Word War
  Everyone opens up a word processor on their computer and agrees on a certain time to start and when to finish. About 10 minutes works best. Then in this time everyone tries to write as much as possible. Then post your word count, and the one who wrote the most wins. You have to use real words that make sense, but what you write doesn't have to be very interesting or have any literary value.
• Arty Alphabet
  For this game you need two or more people. Basically, you have to list some of the things we have in the guild in order of the alphabet. Player 1 starts with the letter A like this: "Creative Therapy is the place to be because it has an...Art gallery." Then Player 2 would have to say something like this:"Creative Therapy is the place to be because it has an Art gallery and Banners." The third player might say: "Creative Therapy is the place to be because it has an Art gallery, Banners and Competitions." Each time you have to repeat what the last person says so it gets pretty confusing. You can also do it for any arts-related thing.You only get 1 life. If you can't think of something for your turn, or you say something incorrect or you don't reply within 2 minutes, you are out of the game. You can go through the alphabet more than once in one game if you like until there is one person left, the winner.
• Who Am I?
  For this game you need at least two people. The person who wants to go first, secretly decides on a neopets character to pretend to be. It can be any character on neopets, such as Fyora or Jeran. The other person must try to guess who you are by asking some yes or no questions. When they finally guess it, you swap over and repeat the process. The person who guesses with the fewest questions is the winner. You must choose a character and not a neopets species. So you can have Jeran, but not just Lupe. You must only ask questions that have a yes or no answer. For example, you can ask "Are you female?" but you cannot ask "Are you male or female?
• Yes or No
  You need at least two people. In this game, one person is not allowed to say yes or no. The other person asks them questions to try and trick them into saying yes or no. For example, player 1 might ask: "Is your name Jenny?" Player 2 can't say yes or no but they could say something like: "Could be", "Maybe", "Sure", "I agree", "It's possible" etc. You are not allowed to repeat the same answer more than once, it has to be different each time. When you catch them out you swap over and they ask you questions. The person who catches the other one out with the fewest questions is the winner.
• Better Than You
  Basically you just pick a game and try to beat each others scores. The highest wins. You can play over and over and someone can keep score of who is winning the most games.
• The Random Game
  This game is completely random and has no purpose whatsoever! It is a game of association. Basically someone says a random word and the next person says the first thing that that word makes them think of. The game ends when you get fed up of it or, if you're lucky, when you manage to get back to the word you originally started with.
• Bingo
  Just like normal bingo. Everyone picks 20 numbers and writes them down. Someone calls out numbers at random, and the players tick them off when they match. Whoever crosses off all their numbers first wins.
• Two Truths and a Lie
  Somebody posts two truths and a lie about themselves. Then the other people have to guess which one is the lie. If they get it right they post two truths and a lie.
• The Name Game
  You have to think of a way to describe the last person who posted using words beginning with the letters of their name. For example if the last person who posted is called Matt, you could try Makes A Teriffic Talker.
• Guess the Quote
  Someone posts a quote from a book or film and the next person has to guess where it is from.
