May 25, 2010 Hey everyone! I'm CiCi, and Black Out has just come online for the very first time! I'm not a graphics person, so I didn't make my layout. However, I promise i am giving credit where credit is due. I'm really excited to have my very own website (even if it is just starting out on neopets and that's it) but someday I hope to get a domain name and make my site really popular.

Silly Bandz Alternates

Well, as we all know silly bandz keep gaining momentum. I now have 57. However, most of them are a knock-off brand called Googly bands! Yes, yes I know, Cici? Knock-offs? It's a sign of the apocolypse! Well- not quite. You see, i have pretty much stopped caring anymore cecause the more I thought about it, the more I realized that silly bandz are googly bands are wacky bands are zany bands and so on. So? Why am i telling you this? To give you some helpful advice. Googly Bands- $1 for 12 of them at Walmart. Now, this one is more a mystery pack, I bought a few packs... the summer one had mainly the glitzys, the dinosaurs had everything but dinosaurs, and everything ws very mixed up. I got 5 elephants and didn't even buy the safari pack. So basically, you never know what you will get. (i got saxophones in my farm animal pack). So googly bands are a very fun, cheap alternative to Silly bandz. I'm telling you this because it's cheap and no different.

Duct Tape is getting really popular these days. I have 9 different colors! You can make anything with them too. Clothes, bags, decorations, anything
really! So what are some other things you can do with duct tape? I have seen things like shoelaces, belts, hats, even prom dresses!!! So get out to any
store that sells paints or crafting supplies and buy a roll today! (1 roll is usually anywhere between $3.50 and $5, depending on how much is on the roll, the store, and the state)

As everyone knows and says often, love is important. Like the beatles have said: All you need is love! So, how can we get "said love"? I would say by hanging with your friends and family as often as possible! No friends? Simple- just try finding someone who likes something you like, or even just try being nice to people! No family? Well that one won't change over night... that one would definately take a while... but with the right moves, a family is very easy to have! Like, talk to your siblings and parents, and be part the group! Hanging uot with friends and family make the summer go by so much better and for less time being bored with a sunburn on your back.
Summer Parties

Hey everyone! As we all know, summer is coming fast! For most high schoolers that means annoying finals, best friends graduating, and finally, no more work! Just 3 months of chilling and hanging out with buds! Right? WRONG!! For a lot of kids, summer just means more work. Whether it be a summer job, chores, or both! We just can't get a break! But, something that can take away from the pain of that reality is a great summer party! Here are some tips to get you started w/ the right kind of party!!
1) Plan and invite far in advance! Only expect half the people you invite to show up!
2) Make sure you have plenty of snacks
3) Games and Activities are a must so people dont get bored! It's a summer party after all!
4) you can't go wrong with water.
5) For a slumber party, only invite a few of your closest friends and sleep in a tent so you can be loud and giggly all night.
6) HAVE FUN!
With all of these tips combined, you can have a rocking summer party! Those few head exploding hours of fun will take your mind off your work for a while, and having summer parties often will make the working a breeze.

Silly Bandz

Have you heard of silly bands? Who hasn't?! Everyone loves them and they are the best thing right now. Stores can't keep them on the shelves. They are so popular, there are places that are trying to steal the idea, so here is a helpful hint to keep you from buying knock-offs.
1. Don't get them if they don't speciafically say Silly Bandz on them. Some people buy Zany Bands, Wacky bands, and all sorts of things.
2. There is no such thing as a potato shaped silly band! It's just a regular rubber band!
3. If it is not an animal, fantasy creature, rockband, spring time shape,
princess, or the suns and lady signs and stuff, alphabet, or baseball, they aren't genuine labels.
4. Despite rumors, the ladies band is NOT rare!
5. Although they are recommeneded for ages 5 to 7, don't let that fool you. they are fun for everyone.
6. They are more valued in style. So, don't go trading one from the top of th list For only one bottom lister. Don't get me wrong, all of them are cute and the
value has nothing to do with which ones you wear. It's just to prevent you from trading a really good onr for a really common one. They are all cute so wear whichever ones you like best. The value is simply for trading purposes.

It didn't take long to load at all. You banner is nice, but the rest of it is kinda of bland.

Like i said, you have a nice banner. It's creative and stands out. Hoever, your site is bland with the gray background, white content box, and simple font. With your background, try to make a simple design. It's easy to make seamless backgrounds as long as everything is close to the edge, but doesn't actually run off. With your content box, make it a color that isn't white. Your theme seems ro be a reddish color, so try using a burgundy-brick red for your content box. that will already make my eye catch.

So, your criteria is pretty normal. Try adding another review type, something original that you haven't seen before. That wya your site isn't just another review site, it actually gives people a reason to come to you rather than any other review site. You layout is pretty boring and blends in to the big mass of other premades.

You might want to try giving it a little more exciting background. The blue does go well with it, and with the banner it doesn't take that much away from the layout. Your site did not take very long to load at all. It was pretty much instantaneous. The colors mezmerized me for a little, but then I scrolled down through your page, and it just seemed really boring.

Your alignment is off. That's one of the first things i look for. Your Sitely box is all the way to the left, while your content box is large and not lined up. It looks sloppy. Your colors work pretty well, but again, its very simple and not very exciting. It doesn't exactly draw me back in with its "exciting" appearance.

Overall, I think your site could use some work, but it's not terrible. The only major thing i see is the alignment. Try centering both boxes to make things look less sloppy, or make them the same size.
