Getting a Baby Chomby

Your Chomby is so cute! But how did you get one? I can't find them as an option in the Create-A-Pet page.

The Chomby is a Limited Edition species, so like Cybunnies, Draiks, Hissis, Jetsams, Kikos, Kois, Poogles, and Tonus, they cannot be created normally. That said, there are four ways to get a Chomby as a pet:

Create one on March 22, Chomby Day. If the pet is being released on its day (Chombies usually are), small batches of them will be available on Create-A-Pet. They go quick, though!
Adopt a Chomby from the pound or from another user. Please note that accounts under four months of age will not be able to see, adopt, or transfer in or out any Limited Edition species.
Use a Morphing Potion or Magical Chomby Plushie to morph an existing pet into a Chomby. Basic colored Chomby Morphing Potions are just over one million neopoints. Baby Chomby Morphing Potions cost around 1.8 million neopoints. The plushies are extremely expensive.
Zap and existing pet into a Chomby through the lab ray. There is no guarantee that you will get a Chomby through the lab, but it's a possibility! For information on the Secret Laboratory Map, see this guide by Dekasin.

I have a Chomby, but how do you make it a baby?

There are also several ways to paint your Chomby and make it a baby:

The most obvious is to paint your pet with a Baby Paint Brush. These paint brushes are sold in the Hidden Tower at a fixed price of 600,000 np. They can be found on the trading post for a slightly lower amount, around 590-595,000 np, or even a little cheaper if you are lucky! If you buy the paint brush from the Hidden Tower, you will get an avatar (if it is your first time buying there.) Please note accounts under four months can view the Hidden Tower, but cannot purchase any items from it.
As mentioned before, you can morph your pet using a Baby Chomby Morphing Potion. It is the same amount as a basic colored chomby mp + a baby paint brush, so this may be a wise investment if you don't have a chomby already.
If you are lucky enough to get an Fountain Faerie Quest, you can use it to paint your Chomby Baby. I do not recommend this as an option, however, because FFQs can grant lab ray-only colors like chocolate, or expensive, non-labbable colors like Pirate and Plushie; the Buzzin' avatar is also only available this way. Please exercise caution when using FFQs!
A very, very rare Random Event can occur, in which a Baby Bruce name Boochi can zap your pet into a baby. This is not a reliable method for obtaining a baby pet, however - you could save up enough for the paint brush just waiting for Boochi to come along.

Remember: the Secret Laboratory Ray CANNOT turn your pet into a baby!
