About Me Well, obviously my name is Jen and I own a site call Neo-Reality, we should all know that by now ^^ As for the other stuff about me? Ok, here goes... I was born in the midst of the bustling city of New York. I've grown up there and I don't plan to leave any time soon. My birthday's the 22nd August 1988 and you can work out my age from there (saves me from updating my age every year =P). I'm currently studying to become an editor at some fancy publishing agency, but for the moment, still a simple student at a massive college =) I have no brothers and sisters, phew, but I do have a lot of cousins, whom I really dislike (one actually stole all my neopoints once). My favourites include sparkliing apple juice (drink), chocolate (food), rock (music), autumn (season), history (subject), green (color), tahoma (font) and lots of other things I can't really think of right now =P I absolutely detest scammers and hackers. I've been scammed millions of times as a newbie when I first started playing and I've also been hacked once (partially my fault for believing the scammer). So now I dedicate most of my time on Neopets warning other people against frauds like the ones I've encountered and trying to make Neopets a safer place for kids of all ages (adults are just really old kids, lol). The Artist Within Yes I am the real owner of Neo-Reality, and if you don't believe me, the staff page will direct you to my lookup which would direct you back to this page ^^ It's been another awesome year making graphics and writing tutorials for all my visitors and I couldn't have done it without Kathrin =) I love making graphics, but it can sometimes be a chore if I have to make it with specifications. I like having mild guidelines as to what people prefer, but I hate it when people give me impossible directions. How am I possibly supposed to make a layout with a baby quiggle riding a horse? Lol, ok, that's never happened, but you can imagine some of the requests I get. I use Adobe Photoshop (latest version, no matter how many versions there are) to make all my graphics, including animations. My dad's a graphic designer in real life so I always get the latest of whatever program he decides to use, which is very helpful in my case =P Graphics is one thing but I resent coding whatever I make. I have loads of fun thinking up something for a lookup or a web layout, but when it comes to coding it, I'm very reluctant. So if you request something, don't be surprised if I say no purely based on the fact that I don't want to code it o.0 My Helpful Side Sometimes I can be a little grumpy, but most of the time, I'm glad to help with whatever problem you're facing. Just pop me a neomail or email (polarjennifer@yahoo.com) and I'll reply as soon as possible. I do hate it when people randomly IM me so please don't do it unless I know who you are. Email tends to be a faster medium for me to answer through, so all HTML questions should be emailed, rather than neomailed. Site and graphics questions should also be emailed to me, but neopets questions should be neomailed, in case I lose track of thought and need to search something up =) I'm afraid graphics requests are closed indefinitely. I really want to help, and I have a hard time saying no, but if worse comes to worse, I will ignore you completely. If you need help with something you've already made, then I'm glad to comment or give feedback. But if you're after a web layout or something huge, I'm afraid you're going to have to look somewhere else. Picking Up The Pieces On the off-occasion where I'm feeling generous and decided to make something small or you, this is the place you needed to scroll down to. If you went through everything up there and your eyes are beginning to hurt, please have something refreshing before coming back =P All graphics and coding here are by me so give credit where credit is due. The last thing I want to do is humiliate you in front of 300 visitors per day, not to mention all the neomail/emails you would receive criticizing you about how wrong theft is. If it something coded by me, I also expect some acknowledgement as I did spend time on something for you. No excuses will be accepted if I catch you. Some people think that they look better if they display a layout without credit. That's not true. I'm often very lenient with sites that apply for affiliates just based on the fact that they have a long and detailed credits page. I admire people who humble themselves by giving credit to people who deserve it, and I absolutely hate people who try to erase any evidence of credit in hopes that they would look good as a result. I have no problem crediting others, in fact, why don't you scroll down the page and see?
