You stand freezing in the cold weather of winter when you spot a touch of smoke rising above the clouds. Ice is sourounding your every which way and you have no idea where you are. Trudging into the cruel, wet snow even farther you stare down a small cabin. Making your way towards the welcoming site you quicken your pace, by realizing how cold you truly are.
Reaching the cottage you rap your frostbitten hand on the door. A few second later you hear rustling and then a friendly female, xweetok, about 17, opens the door.
Oh my! Come, come! You must be devastatingly cold!
You gladly accept her suggestions and step inside the heated building.
You need hot coco, and a story by the fire! Here come sit. I'll get you some coco and then you are probably wondering about me so I shall tell you.
Gladly, you agree again.
You galnce at her pelt which is completely tan other than the fury teal fluff around her neck that match her teal paws and some hair on the top of her head. She also has a blured teal marking on her hind leg which appears to be an icicle. You notice another icicle dangling off her ear, but this one is only an earring. She glances back at you and seems to understand. Oh, silly me. I suppose I should explain my odd apperance...

Appearance
My pelt is naturally tan, quite a simple color really and my paws, neck, and head hair are also my true colors, although it wasn't blurred before the..uh..anyways. My ears, the insides, are teal as well as the stripe on my forhead. The marking on my hind leg is an icicle, though it looks a bit odd. And my lovely earring symbolizes my love for snow, ice, and well...my family.

Well, now that you basics, perhalps you'd like to know a bit about my personallity. I try to be kind, and usually I can pull it off, she giggles. I love daydreaming, especially after... Oh uh nevermind for now. I am bit of a motherly figure, which is why I miss my younger sister so much... she breaks of into a long pause. But that's the past now I suppose. I bet you'd like it more I'd I stopped rambling and told you a real story. she blushes in spite of herself.

Story
The oldest, the male, led the way through the dimly lighted ice. He had a navy ring of fur surrounding his neck and his tail and back breathed s the same color. The navy colors had a white border etched beside it. He had another navy marking on his hind leg, which was acknowledged as a icicle. His tan pelt was easily identified in the darkness,
Following close behind were two female xweetoks. One of them was motherly holding a baby. The young child had a soft little face, with her eyes closed and her pink nose centered on her face she could have very well been a tiny angel. A petite little marking of a tropical flower was on her hind leg. She had delicate clear wings that fluttered about in the wind. Her shady teal fur accents were laced with white.
The female holding her was aged about 12 and also had the same markings. Though her color was more of an aquamarine. She too had an icicle on her hind leg She held onto the baby, closely making sure nothing could get to her, even the deathly cold.
The last of the small pack was walking a bit slower behind the rest, as if to make sure, nothing got to them from behind. The snip of the cold flicked her royal blue tail and rustled her deep blue bangs. She, as the rest had the same markings. She also had the a flower on her leg, just like the baby. They were all clearly a family.
Dusk, quickly became dawn and night become day. The kin came to a dead end. The ice was stopped and the teal water flowed through a gap between an iceberg and the ice lane. The motherly female passed her brother the baby reluctantly. She worriedly watched and he took her and tucked her near his chest and was held there securely. He leapt off the ice path onto the pointed chunk of frosted snow. The others obeyed and did the same. In a matter of seconds they were all standing in a circle on the iceberg.
The youngest had woken up and was placed on the crunched snow with the others. The four waited tolerantly until the sun had risen directly in the middle of the four. The markings on their legs glimmered as the three oldest walked to the edge of the iceberg. They flew off the frame of ice into the freezing waters, which would have never harmed them…
They arose from the water, climbed back onto the berg and their marking stopped glowing. They usually would have then prayed to their father and mother who had passed away, a few days after the youngest was born, able to speak to them after performing their ritual. A few moments later, frost formed around the beings, and soon after that icicles hung off their fur. It took only a few minutes before all four of them were completely covered in a thick sheet of ice.
They slipped off the iceberg into the glowing water, which was infested by chemicals, known to freeze… anything! The ice covered bodies, drifted every which way and they floated apart to unknown places.

Slipping up and down the shore silently the waves brushed over two feet continuously. The feet belonged to a helpless xweetok, lying ashore, pointlessly. She had bright teal markings which seemed to have bled into her skin, like they had melted on. She had frail soaked wings that were also the color of the sea and ice. Hanging from her left ear was a small icicle earring. Her pelt was a soft tan that blended in with the teal colors on her paws chest.
Still washing over her feet the waves, woke her gently. Her eyes shuttered open. Startled and shivering she glanced around sleepily. Where was she? She peered around the sandy beach, ice was starting to form upon the small crystal-like sand and no one else was insight. "It must be late fall," she whispered proud of herself for the accurate assumption. "Wait," her mind quickened as the memories cam back to her now. "My family! The ritual! The ice! Ohh Noooo!" her voice drowned out around the enclosed beach. Chatial blacked out again.
* * *
Drifting slowly back awake Chatial could feel the light taps of snow and the brush of a soft wind. No, it wasn't snow or wind, too heavy and…fury? Her eyes fluttered open at peered out an a dancing figure on her chest. A little grayish blue faellie shuffled against her fur and it's wings stroked her chin. Gaining her sense back Chatial, wrapped her arms gently around the small creature and hugged it close. The creature was a female and she had fairy tale wings and soulful eyes. For such a little thing, she sure provided a grand amount of comfort.
Memory wafted back into Chatial's mind and she started to fret about what to do, although she remained quite calm. She thought carefully about the situation for a little while and decided the best thing to do was to make the best of the situation and look for a way back to civilization. After all she was alive, she ay as well keep on living.
She released her grip from the faellie and expected it to flee. The faellie remained and stared up at her with timid but curious eyes. She gazed back at it and felt a wave of release wash over her. She had a friend now. "Do have a name little girl?"
The faellie tilted her head a squeaked "Dray-di-di-di-di-di-di-di?!"
Draydi. You will be my little Draydi." She giggled, scooped up Draydi and circled the tiny beach trying to find a way out. There was ice walls lining the little cove. She pressed her cheek against one wall a tapped it. It was hard as could be. She continued to do the same thing, all the way around the beach. Finally she came to a spot that seemed hollow. He little faellie seemed to know what was happening and made some excited clicking noises. Chatial shoved as hard as she could against the wall, careful not to squish Draydi while doing it.
The ice gave way and pushed on forwards and Chatial stumbled into a small room, in what looked like a cabin. A thud sounded behind as the ice door was locked into it's original place. Chatial, walked around the room, listening to occasional creaks from the floorboards and sucking in the stale, musty smell. The room was a simple square shape with a rectangle fire place and the opposite end that looked like it had never been used.
She crept towards it careful as if careful not to wake something, although it was clear that no one had been in here for a long time. She arrived and the fire place and it clicked in her mind to tug and the candle holder beside it. She had oviously watched to many movies about trap doors and mysterious houses. The fireplace swung to the side creating a small passage, much to Chatial's surprise. She didn't expect her little trap door theory to work, but it had. The next room was much like the other, but it had clear doors and more items. She was standing beside a dusty old bed that looked fairly comfy and warm. It sat by a small nightstand. A wooden wardrobe stood proudly on the other side of the little bedroom.
Looking around she decided to continue searching through this old house, perhaps somehow it would give her answers to her questions. She opened the screeching door and moved out into a small hallway with an entrance to the main door at her left and nice, neat, although dusty kitchen to her right. She turned right wanting to explore more of the house before leaving it so she walked into the kitchen. She searched around a bit, but all the cupboards were bare much to her and her rumbling stomach disappointment. She wandered on through an open walkway to a quaint little sitting room. She sat for a while resting while Draydi, who had followed her, clicked in her lap.
After a long while of just thinking she decided to go out the door at see what was around her. If she walked right into busy civilization she'd find a hotel to stay in for the night. She then remembered she had no money, no food and no family.
Still with determination she walked out the door into a blistering cold breath of winter. Chatial looked through the blowing powdery snow. The ground was ice, and everywhere around her was ice except for way out in front of her. She couldn't see that far to be able to tell what was there. She hurried back in the cottage and knew that she had to spend the night.
* * *
Two years later from that day Chatial had taken the cottage as her own, familiarized herself will the locals in Happy Valley a kilometer away and set an unnatural love of swimming in the cold artic waters.
Well I think that's enough about my past. How are you marshmallows doing? The hot coco? Need any more? Sliding your mug over to her you politely ask for more of the tasty drink. Chatial travels into her kitchen and brings you another mug-full which you merrily slurp while she continues.

Cottage
I suppose you'd like to look around my cottage. You know, I could give you a tour, and then maybe I'll even show you something really special. She leads you around the house explaining everypart of everything there is.
Here, she says leading you past the couch you were sitting on Is the Kitchen. It has a plain yellow floor and cupboard with green speckles. A simple white sink an cutting board are the only things on the countertop. In the corner is a large white fridge. She leads you out and into a hallway. She walks into a bedroom and you follow. It has an old wooden wardrobe and nightstand with a crackling fireplace in the corner. A small bed sits in the other corner with a teal comforter on top. Here's the exciting part, mumbles Chatial. Now I don't show too many people this but... She pushes agaist a wooden pannel on the fireplace and it spin sideways. You gasp, she leads you through the teeny passageway into a bare room. She doesn't stop there though. Chatial shoves on a wall and she stumbles through into a tiny priavte beach. The wind is blowing so hard that you both hurry back into the house without a word. Well, It's a lot nicer in the summer! She giggles. She goes back into her bedroom and down a narrow hallway. The the next room is a bathroom. It's floor is painted with yellowish orange stripes. It has a plain what bathtub, sink, and toilet with lovely secnted sunshine orange flowers on it. She continues to bring you down the narrow hallway into a bathroom. Now she says that's all. I have quite a small house the the only real exciting part is my secret cove, but since it's nasty outside we can't enjoy it. She settle back onto the couch. You do the same.

Omeqa. She is so wonderful. When my mother died, I took on the job. I loved her. So sweet, so small. She was an innocent baby. She didn't fuss around much. She went to sleep easily. She didn't wail when she had to go to...the iceberg. I miss her.
Quiniice was my best friend, we did everything together. I miss her evryday. She was the biggest comfort in my life when our parents died and I was hers. She and I were practaclly siamese twins. Joined together. I saw her and played with her and talked with her and laughed with her everyday. Now I can't so much see her anyday.
Az, like Qiniice slept with his head up, ready to flash open those bright eyes of his and protect us, fend for us. He Wasn't scared of anything or anyone. He'd never let us out of his sight. He contantly made sure nothing could get to us. He was a brave leader and a great brother and he would have made an even better father one day.
