Simple Gifts, a brand new directory by
Sophia. This directory is named afer musician Aaron Copeland's Appalachian Spring, which is a lovely, lovely piece! This site also holds a collection of the gifts or talents that the Neopian sitemakers have, that are, their sites and the contents of those sites. I aim for
Simple Gifts to be a community run directory with me doing the weekly updating and sitemakers being the contributors of links and site news. In all, this directory belongs to you, not me!
Updates
18 May 2012: IMPORTANT: Simple Gifts is on indefinite hiatus. I wish I didn't have to do this, but coming on Neo has become more of an obligation than anything else. I'm sure that at some point, we all feel like this, so please allow me to take a break and sort out things. I don't know when I will be back, but don't bank on it being too soon, okay? what this is all about
How it works
1. Instead of having rankings, sites are arranged according to votes from Neopians. Mouse-over each favourite site in each category to see how many
unique votes that site has received, or refer to the
voting log.
2. Categories are kept to a minimal - there are only six. This directory aims to be a succinct, straight-to-the-point one. It does not list neopets related activity sites e.g pet adoption agencies, avatar lending sites.
3. Additions to Simple Gifts only happen when people contribute sites to list, votes and sitely news. All site owners will be sent a neomail telling them that their site has been listed, even if they were not the ones who sent in the sites.
4. News that are sent to Sophia are only posted on Fridays, in time for the weekends. This will save extra time and effort ^^
FAQ
How many sites can I vote for?
You can vote for as many sites as you like - even your own, but you can only vote
once for each site. Yes, you can also vote for many sites at one go.
How do you keep track of the votes?
I set up a voting log for this purpose.
Can we be affiliates?
No, I have decided that I will not take affiliates for this site as it is more like a hub for sites to come together. I have a sister site, though ^^

Being compared to a well known directory is nice, but please do not do that. It was never in my intention, and never will be, to replace a great site like that. I just had great ideas for a directory and jumped on at a time that felt right to me.

To list any sites that have not been listed here (they need not be yours), neomail me the following form:

You can contribute by voting for a site, or by posting site news regarding your
own site! Remember that site news are only posted on Fridays, but you can send them to me on any day of the week. Send me the respective forms:
